[name_m]Hi[/name_m] All! I just heard the name [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] yesterday and I’m kind of crushing. To me, it’s the perfect combination of [name_f]Ava[/name_f] and [name_f]Isla[/name_f].
What are your thoughts?? [name_f]Do[/name_f] you know anyone with this name? Can you help me create some pairings with an R last name?
It really blends into [name_f]Layla[/name_f]/[name_f]Kayla[/name_f]/[name_f]Shayla[/name_f] etc. for me. I actually taught a class once with a [name_f]Kayla[/name_f], two Laylas, and an [name_f]Ayla[/name_f]. I think the Greek version, Aella, separates it a little, but the sound is the same.
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] is pronounced as eye-la, is it not? I think it’s quite pretty! I know of one little [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] [name_f]Sophia[/name_f], which I think is a lovely combination.
We have [name_f]Isla[/name_f] on our list and also have an R last name, so these are some combos I’ve played around with:
I grew up with a very nice girl named [name_f]Ayla[/name_f]. It was unique when we were growing up but I think it will blend in more now with [name_f]Kayla[/name_f] and [name_f]Layla[/name_f]. I like it much more than [name_f]Ava[/name_f] though. All in all, a very nice choice.
I know a little [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], she’s two now and I can’t remember her middle name. Super cute, but I’m a little sad that [name_f]Layla[/name_f] and [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] are popular enough that I know one of each and can’t use them myself. (we see them both fairly/quite often.)
