Is it usable
Does it sound to much like [name_f]Bertha[/name_f]
Any nicknames
I like it and it’s usable.
It doesn’t remind me of [name_f]Bertha[/name_f]. It makes me think of [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m]!
Nicknames: [name_f]Etta[/name_f], [name_f]Etty[/name_f], [name_f]Edie[/name_f]…

I think it’s usable. I don’t think of [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] at all, and do think of [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m] as well.
Of nicknames that haven’t been suggested, maybe E, Earthy, or [name_u]Ari[/name_u]?
I love [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] and I like [name_f]Eartha[/name_f].
Not sure about nicknames, can’t think of any.
I think it’s usable, it does sound like [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] but not enough to make it less of a name - I actually prefer the fresh vibes of [name_f]Eartha[/name_f]! It’s a sweet name and it also reminds me of [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m]. I can’t think of any more nicknames but I don’t think it really needs one anyway!
Eartha is bold! I like it. [name_f]Effy[/name_f] could be a nickname

I like [name_f]Eartha[/name_f]. I think of [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m], not [name_f]Bertha[/name_f]!
Maybe [name_f]Thea[/name_f] for a nickname?
Never heard of this name before! Very earthy… doesn’t really remind me of [name_f]Bertha[/name_f]. More like a fantasy characters name. Useable, sure, but its kind of funky.
It’s usable. Doesn’t sound too much like [name_f]Bertha[/name_f], I didn’t even think of [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] before reading the post. Seconding [name_f]Etta[/name_f] and [name_f]Effy[/name_f] as nicknames.

I don’t associate it with [name_f]Bertha[/name_f].
For me it’s strongly associated with [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m], as I’ve never heard it used on anyone else, but not [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] (though I could see it getting confused with [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] in everyday life as I feel [name_f]Bertha[/name_f] is more familiar to most people). Because of [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m] it gives me a quirky but [name_m]Jazzy[/name_m] vintage vibe.
As for nicknames I think the most natural one to me would be [name_f]Etta[/name_f]

I also strongly associate this name with [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] [name_m]Kitt[/name_m], to the extent that I’d probably think she was the namesake or inspiration for the name. I don’t think she’s a bad association by any means, but if you’re not familiar with her, I would recommend listening to her music before using this name for a child.
I don’t care for the sound of the name (the “uhr” in the first syllable is not appealing to me), but I think it’s usable. I don’t think of [name_f]Bertha[/name_f].
I don’t think [name_f]Eartha[/name_f] is a name that has many possible nicknames. It seems fairly nickname-proof, in fact.
