Questions about Gregory

A few questions here: firstly… what do you berries think of [name]Gregory[/name] (my grandfathers name!)? What thoughts are conjured up when your heat the name? Lately it has been really growing on me…

Have been thinking lots about combo [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] recently…(still looking for the perfect middle for [name]Zephyr[/name]
Another favourite [name]Zephyr[/name] combo of mine is [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Finnegan[/name] which I’ve posted about before…I mention this as both middles are family names and i thought both combos could give us pet name ziggy which I love and I’m wondering which of the two combos you prefer and which lends to ziggy more intuitively in your opinion?

Would love to hear your thoughts on [name]Gregory[/name] as a name in itself and on combo. Also, at present wouldn’t use [name]Gregory[/name] up front as don’t love it enough but wondering if anyone has any nn suggestions other than [name]Greg[/name] ( not a [name]Greg[/name] fan at ALL) thought maybe [name]Rory[/name] could work (love this) but maybe too much of a stretch?

[name]Gregory[/name] is a little dated, but I think it’s a handsome name. [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] is quite nice. I like it a lot.

I like [name]Gregory[/name]. It’s relaxed but manly, handsome but not try-hard. It makes me think of [name]Gregory[/name] Peck.

You know the current craze for [name]Grey[/name] as a name? I was thinking it’d be a perfectly plausible short form for [name]Gregory[/name].

[name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] is a wonderful combo and I love it’s family meaning for you.
[name]Gregory[/name] on it’s own isn’t my favorite I prefer the [name]German[/name] [name]Georg[/name] but I do work with a [name]Gregory[/name] who just had a baby and made his son a III. His son is the most adorable little baby imaginable so I find it quite charming on a child.

My husband’s name is [name]Greg[/name] so that’s what I think of when I hear the name. Some nicknames I use beside the already mentioned [name]Rory[/name], and [name]Grey[/name] are [name]Ry[/name] (pronounced like ree), [name]Gregor[/name], and [name]Greer[/name].

I like [name]Gregory[/name] alot. It sounds very strong and masculine. I think I would go with th nn [name]Grey[/name].

I like [name]Gregory[/name], it’s a handsome name with history that isn’t overused. I like the suggestion of [name]Grey[/name] as a nn alternative.

I am not a fan of [name]Zephyr[/name] but I think [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] lends itself better to nn [name]Ziggy[/name].

I love [name]Gregory[/name]! Plus I am a huge fan of family names. I think [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] is a fabulous name!

I’m loving [name]Gregory[/name] so much right now! I think it sounds very handsome and distinguished. My favorite nickname for it is [name]Rory[/name], but [name]Grey[/name] is a good suggestion, too.

I think [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] makes more sense for the nickname [name]Ziggy[/name].

I’ve never been fond of [name]Grey[/name] on it’s own, but I actually really like it as a nn for [name]Gregory[/name]. Great thought!

With [name]Zephyr[/name] I prefer [name]Finnegan[/name], because I feel like the R’s compete a bit with [name]Gregory[/name], but it’s not a bad combo. Personally I don’t really like [name]Zephyr[/name]–it’s a bit too literal for me.

[name]Glad[/name] to hear such positive responses to [name]Gregory[/name] and [name]Zephyr[/name] [name]Gregory[/name] (ziggy)!! Thanks  I think it’s a great way to get [name]Grey[/name] for those who love [name]Grey[/name]… Very clever suggestion! Personally I prefer [name]Rory[/name] to [name]Grey[/name] (never really got the [name]Grey[/name] craze! But it’s a fantastic idea!!!)
