I love lil-ah, so I was thinking the best spelling would be [name_f]Lilla[/name_f], like [name_f]Willa[/name_f] but with an L. What are your thoughts about [name_f]Lilla[/name_f]? I also love [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. Which name do you prefer and why? So far we are thinking [name_f]Marit[/name_f] or [name_u]Dove[/name_u] for a middle name but not sure yet.
They’re both pretty but I prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]. It seems more graceful and distinctive to me…[name_f]Lilla[/name_f] seems like it would get misspelled as/mistaken for [name_f]Lila[/name_f] often enough to be annoying.
I like [name_f]Marit[/name_f]. [name_u]Dove[/name_u] is fine as a middle name but not my style. I’d go with [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_f]Marit[/name_f]…beautiful!
I also think [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] would be called lie-lah ([name_f]Lila[/name_f]) a lot. Personally, I just like [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] better. It’s soft and sweet but not too frilly. And [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] would work too (or [name_f]Lili[/name_f] (leelee), [name_f]Lil[/name_f], [name_f]Lily[/name_f], [name_f]Lia[/name_f]). It just has lots more options.
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u] is really sweet and I love it!
I like [name_f]Layla[/name_f]–a nice strong vowel sound amidst all the prissly 'l’s.
I think [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] would work best to get your preferred pronunciation of “lil-uh”. As others have mentioned, [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] could easily be mistaken for [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. [name_f]Lilia[/name_f], to me, is a great [name_f]Lily[/name_f] alternate, but I don’t pronounce it like “lil-uh”. I read [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] as “lil-ee-uh”.
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is cute ([name_f]Lilly[/name_f]-uh). Other spellings Lillija, [name_f]Liliya[/name_f], [name_f]Lilya[/name_f], [name_f]Lilja[/name_f].
Honestly I think [name_f]Lilla[/name_f] would go her whole life being called [name_f]Lila[/name_f]. I much prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] and both middle names you’re considering sound good with it. I slightly prefer [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] [name_u]Dove[/name_u].

Sorry, I should have been more clear. We do know that [name_f]Lilia[/name_f] is pronounced li-lee-ah. We love both lil-ah and li-lee-ah. I can see the issues with [name_f]Lilla[/name_f]. I am not a fan of the lie-lah sound. Sorry, I know so many are.
