Questions about Zachary

Our front runner for a boy for the longest time has been [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] but lately I feel like everywhere I turn I meet a little [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]! So now I am seriously considering moving [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] to the front spot.

I know [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] is a bit past its heyday but that’s one of the things I like about it; familiar and well loved but not insanely popular on little ones anymore. I’ve loved this name since I was 3 and it was my first name crush haha

So my questions are:

What do you think of [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] on its own and also the combo of [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] K3vin? (K3vin is my dad’s name)

Which nickname spelling: [name_m]Zac[/name_m] or [name_m]Zack[/name_m]? (We don’t like [name_m]Zach[/name_m])

I have more questions regarding sibling names and how it sounds with the surname but I’ll save those for another time. [name_f]TIA[/name_f]!

I like [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] nn [name_m]Zac[/name_m]. It is a bit 80s/90s, but like you said, that means there won’t be as many babies named [name_m]Zachary[/name_m].

I have a soft spot for certain 80s/90s name like this ([name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] being my fav). You’re right that it’s not widely used anymore so he wouldn’t have many others in his grade. I see nothing wrong with it and prefer [name_m]Zac[/name_m]. Your combo sounds great.

I also have a soft spot for [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] and [name_u]Shane[/name_u] and [name_m]Trevor[/name_m] too!

[name_f]Do[/name_f] you think a 90s name like [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] could pair well a timeless name like [name_f]Audrey[/name_f]? I don’t love that they both end in the -y sound but I think [name_f]Audrey[/name_f] and [name_m]Zac[/name_m] sound nice considering most Zacharys go by [name_m]Just[/name_m] [name_m]Zac[/name_m]/[name_m]Zack[/name_m]/[name_m]Zach[/name_m]. I wonder if the styles seem too mismatched?

I love [name_m]Zachary[/name_m]!

I love [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] nn [name_m]Zac[/name_m] and I don’t see it as dated at all. I much prefer it over [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]. I think it goes beautifully with sister [name_f]Audrey[/name_f].

[name_m]Zachary[/name_m] is a great name. Along with [name_m]Travis[/name_m] and [name_u]Jesse[/name_u], it’s one of my favorite male names past its prime. I do think pairing it with [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] pushes it into '80s fest land, though - what’s wrong with [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]?

I’ve thought about reversing the order to [name_m]Zachary[/name_m] [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] but I prefer to use [name_m]Kevin[/name_m] in honor of my dad. He is such a wonderful person and so important to me and it just warms my heart to pass his name on  I agree though it does make the name overall feel a bit dated but that’s ok with me! If I were to pick a totally different middle I’d probably go with [name_u]Morgan[/name_u], my other long time all time favorite boy name.
