Quick fire questions!

[name_m]Hi[/name_m]! I just have a few questions I would love your thoughts on:

  1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is strong enough for an adult? I’ve been loving it recently.

  2. Does [name_m]Milo[/name_m] go with girls names [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]?

  3. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]? Why?

  4. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? Why?

  5. What are your thoughts on [name_u]James[/name_u] - classic? Handsome? Boring/ordinary?

  6. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] - is that inevitable?

  7. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as an occasional nn when younger… thoughts?

  8. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]?

  9. When you hear [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] do you think boy or girl?

  10. Any names [name_m]Milo[/name_m] could be a nn for other than [name_m]Miles[/name_m]? My friend suggested [name_u]James[/name_u] with [name_m]Leo[/name_m] as a middle name - [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Leo[/name_m]: [name_m]Milo[/name_m] but I think that’s pushing it.

  11. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])? Why?

  12. What kind of boy do you picture when you think of a [name_m]Milo[/name_m]?

Thanks sooo much x

  1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is strong enough for an adult? I’ve been loving it recently.
    Yes, definitely yes!

  2. Does [name_m]Milo[/name_m] go with girls names [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]?
It does feel a bit quirkier and more youthful; I’d say [name_m]Miles[/name_m] nn [name_m]Milo[/name_m] would go better, however [name_m]Milo[/name_m] on it’s own still works nicely with the girls.

  3. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]? Why?
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m], I love how international it is, I also always found [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] to be a very grown-up name.
And you can always use [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hughie[/name_m] (love) as a nickname for [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] while it wouldn’t work the other way around.

  4. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? Why?
[name_m]Henry[/name_m], again, love the timeless, ageless fee as well as the international vibe.

  5. What are your thoughts on [name_u]James[/name_u] - classic? Handsome? Boring/ordinary?
As a first name, I really like it, especially with the nn [name_u]Jem[/name_u]. As a middle name, I find it a tad boring.

  6. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] - is that inevitable?
I don’t think there are too many [name_u]James[/name_u] going by [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] anyway. I do think you can have a [name_u]James[/name_u] but not a [name_u]Jamie[/name_u].

  7. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as an occasional nn when younger… thoughts?
    As stated above, love it.

  8. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]?
I’d probably pronounce the d in the first spelling if I had never seen it before.
    [name_u]Finn[/name_u]-lee for the other two.

  9. When you hear [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] do you think boy or girl?
    Definitely boy.

    [name_m]Emilio[/name_m]?

  11. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])? Why?
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m] nn [name_u]Theo[/name_u], I just prefer it. I really like both, though.

  12. What kind of boy do you picture when you think of a [name_m]Milo[/name_m]?
Sweet, cheeky little rascal with the heart of lion. Always gets himself into trouble but you really can’t be mad at him.

  1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is strong enough for an adult? I’ve been loving it recently.

    • I definitely think so. It reminds me of [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Thatch[/name_m] from [name_f]Atlantis[/name_f], but in a good way.
  2. Does [name_m]Milo[/name_m] go with girls names [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]?

    • Yes
  3. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]? Why?

    • [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] still seems like an old man name to me, but not in a good way like [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Frederick[/name_m].
  4. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? Why?

    • Both? [name_m]Harry[/name_m] as a nickname for [name_m]Harrison[/name_m] especially. Honestly I think it’s been long enough that people’s minds would go to [name_m]Prince[/name_m] [name_m]Harry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m] Styles rather than [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m]. I do love both though.
  5. What are your thoughts on [name_u]James[/name_u] - classic? Handsome? Boring/ordinary?

    • Classic and Handsome, but also coming back into style and pretty popular imo.
  6. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] - is that inevitable?

    • Not with a boy I would think.
  7. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as an occasional nn when younger… thoughts?

    • Yes Yes Yes. Makes me think of To Kill a Mockingbird
  8. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]?

    • [name_u]Finn[/name_u]-lee
  9. When you hear [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] do you think boy or girl?

    • Girl

    • [name_m]Emilio[/name_m], [name_m]Milos[/name_m], [name_m]Milton[/name_m]?
  11. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])? Why?

    • Ugh, I like both. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] gives you more nickname options plus a formal full name. I’d have to go with that, but [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is also great.
  12. What kind of boy do you picture when you think of a [name_m]Milo[/name_m]?

    • Smart and kind
  1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is strong enough for an adult? I’ve been loving it recently.
    Absolutely! It’s wonderful! (I also love [name_m]Milo[/name_m] [name_m]Thatch[/name_m] from [name_f]Atlantis[/name_f] - he’s such a good Disney hero)

  2. Does [name_m]Milo[/name_m] go with girls names [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]?
Again, absolutely. Sounds very British to me. I probably have met a sibset named this… another brother would be [name_m]Oscar[/name_m] or [name_u]Theo[/name_u].

  3. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]? Why?
    [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. I love both, but I think [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is a tad cooler.

  4. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? Why?
[name_m]Harry[/name_m]. The image I have of a [name_m]Harry[/name_m] is far more laid back, [name_m]Henry[/name_m] could be really bossy or a bit of stick in the mud.

  5. What are your thoughts on [name_u]James[/name_u] - classic? Handsome? Boring/ordinary?
I adore the name [name_u]James[/name_u]. It would use it in a heartbeat if it weren’t my S/O’s name (we don’t like Jrs, so it’s really out). I know it’s officially the most popular name of all time or something ridiculous, but I just love it.

  6. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] - is that inevitable?
Nope, my [name_u]James[/name_u] is [name_u]James[/name_u] or (very rarely) [name_u]Jay[/name_u]. And he’s really just [name_u]James[/name_u] all of the time, he’s never ever been [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. He only ended up being [name_u]Jay[/name_u] because my housemate was already dating another [name_u]James[/name_u] when we got together, and since her [name_u]James[/name_u] was also just [name_u]James[/name_u], we needed to be able to differentiate. My relationship was the second to start, so my [name_u]James[/name_u] got the nn [name_u]Jay[/name_u]. (My housemate’s ex-[name_u]James[/name_u] was [name_m]Jim[/name_m] when we were in high school, but he didn’t like it and he was always [name_u]James[/name_u] at home).

  7. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as an occasional nn when younger… thoughts?
Cute! I know a [name_u]Jem[/name_u] who is just [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and he’s in his 20s now, always really suited him. So even if the name carries over from childhood it’s definitely usable.

  8. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]?
    [name_m]Findlay[/name_m] - [name_u]Finn[/name_u]-dlay. [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] - [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-lay. [name_u]Finley[/name_u] - [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-lee.

  9. When you hear [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] do you think boy or girl?
I think boy straight off, but I would usually seek clarification. I know more boys with the name but also I know it’s fairly unisex.

I think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is much more handsome than [name_m]Miles[/name_m], and it works so well as a stand alone that I think using [name_m]Milo[/name_m] as is would be the best choice. [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] would be a bit of a stretch. Michaelangelo could be [name_m]Milo[/name_m], but that’s quite out there. A similar name is [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] if you’re really not sure about [name_m]Milo[/name_m] as a full name. But I think it’s great.

  11. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])? Why?
[name_m]Milo[/name_m]. [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]/[name_u]Theo[/name_u] is more common and I think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is cooler.

  12. What kind of boy do you picture when you think of a [name_m]Milo[/name_m]?
Usually the hero from [name_f]Atlantis[/name_f]! But also I know 3 little [name_m]Milos[/name_m] (it’s more common in the UK) and one is VERY sporty, the others less so, and they’re all very confident and a bit silly. I imagine smart and a bit nerdy - but the cool type of nerdy, like he’s cool because he’s clever type. I also know a little [name_m]Milo[/name_m] who lives in [name_u]Holland[/name_u] (it’s prn Mee-lo there) and he’s very sweet and quiet.

  1. I personally have a hard time picturing it right now, but by the time he’s an adult I think he’ll fit in nicely. I also like the name, though I can’t use it myself.

  2. Yes, it sounds cohesive to me. I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] & [name_m]Milo[/name_m] the best, but they all work.

  3. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] by miles for me. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] sounds very dated to me, though I have older relatives with the name, so I could be biased. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] sounds more peppy to me (in a good way). [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] sounds tired and sad to my ears.

  4. [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. I like it infinitely more as a full name than [name_m]Harry[/name_m]. If the full name is [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], the race gets close, but [name_m]Henry[/name_m] still comes out on top.

  5. I like [name_u]James[/name_u] a lot, personally. I like [name_u]Jameson[/name_u] nn [name_u]James[/name_u] too, but that might be because one syllable full names aren’t my thing.

  6. I have never heard a [name_u]James[/name_u] get called [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] other than by his own parents. I’ve heard [name_m]Jim[/name_m] and [name_u]Jay[/name_u].

  7. It reads feminine to me, even though [name_u]James[/name_u] is super masculine to my ears. I’m not mad at it though.

  8. [name_m]FIN[/name_m]-dlay, fin-lay, fin-lee

  9. Girl, but when I hear [name_u]Finn[/name_u], I think boy.

  10. Maybe Maximillion nn [name_m]Milo[/name_m]? It’s a stretch, but it’s different than just [name_u]Max[/name_u]. [name_m]Emilio[/name_m], but that doesn’t seem like your style. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] can stand on its own, and that’s not a bad thing!

  11. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] sounds stronger than [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u]) to me, though I like [name_u]Theo[/name_u] more than Ted(dy).

  12. I feel like it’s a friendly name, it sounds fun and approachable, while still being unique enough to draw intrigue. Like others, I picture someone being the class clown or adorable little troublemaker.

1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is strong enough for an adult? I’ve been loving it recently.
Yes! It reminds me of the “softer” boy names like [name_u]Seth[/name_u], [name_m]Caleb[/name_m], and [name_m]Joshua[/name_m]…all work well on adults, too!

1. Does [name_m]Milo[/name_m] go with girls names [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]?
It’s a bit shorter than the girls’ names, but I think it goes well still! I don’t think it matters all too much, because you could always do a theme for girls and theme for boys (or “girl names that sound good together” and “boy names that go good together”). I also like the suggestion of [name_m]Miles[/name_m] “[name_m]Milo[/name_m]”.

2. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]? Why?
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]! [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] just reminds me of a stuffy old man (sorry!)

3. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? Why?
I like both…but [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] sounds like he can be anything. [name_m]Harry[/name_m] reminds me of [name_m]Harry[/name_m] [name_m]Potter[/name_m] (not a bad association, but it’s like [name_f]Hermione[/name_f]…there’s really only one popular association).

4. What are your thoughts on [name_u]James[/name_u] - classic? Handsome? Boring/ordinary?
Classic and handsome! I love it! It gets used commonly as a middle name, but I would love to see it more as a first name!

4. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] - is that inevitable?
Not necessarily! I suppose someone may call him that one day, but that doesn’t mean he will be doomed to be [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. You could push for a different nickname or just [name_u]James[/name_u]!

4. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as an occasional nn when younger… thoughts?
I like it! It does remind me of To Kill a Mockingbird, too!

5. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]?
[name_m]Findlay[/name_m]= fin-dlay
[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]= fin-lee

6. When you hear [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] do you think boy or girl?
Boy, all the way.

[name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] “[name_m]Milo[/name_m]” would be a huge stretch. I know a [name_m]Miller[/name_m] “[name_m]Milo[/name_m]”, but I can’t think of anything else.

8. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])? Why?

[name_m]Milo[/name_m]. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not a huge fan of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] “[name_u]Theo[/name_u]”

9. What kind of boy do you picture when you think of a [name_m]Milo[/name_m]?
Intelligent, kind, witty, adventurous. The type of boy who always has a snail or worm in his pocket and always tries to rescue animals (and beg his parents for a new puppy!). Definitely an air of mischief in his personality, but not at all mean-spirited.

  1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is strong enough for an adult? I’ve been loving it recently.
    Yes.

  2. Does [name_m]Milo[/name_m] go with girls names [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]?
    Yes

  3. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]? Why?

[name_m]Hugh[/name_m]! [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] used to be just nms, but since every time [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is mentioned online someone has to say, “[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is better” (even though they are totally different styles, so it’s a bad suggestion for someone who likes [name_m]Hugh[/name_m]) I have come to defensively hate [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. It sounds silly and juvenile. I can’t imagine calling a person [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is strong and laid back, [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] is a hyper little dog.

  1. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? Why?

[name_m]Harry[/name_m]! I don’t know why, but I’ve never liked [name_m]Henry[/name_m], [name_m]Harry[/name_m] is OK.

  1. What are your thoughts on [name_u]James[/name_u] - classic? Handsome? Boring/ordinary?
    Ordinary, unremarkable but handsome

  2. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] - is that inevitable?
Not anymore. In [name_u]America[/name_u] at least nicknames in general seem to be less commonly used.

  3. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as an occasional nn when younger… thoughts?
I like it and it works

  4. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]?
    [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-dlee, [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-lee and [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-lee

  5. When you hear [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] do you think boy or girl?

Boy

I can’t think of any that I think would work. [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] does not work to make [name_m]Milo[/name_m] a nickname.

  1. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])? Why?

Uh… hard because neither are my style. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] because I don’t even slightly like [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].

  1. What kind of boy do you picture when you think of a [name_m]Milo[/name_m]?
I think of a platinum blonde little boy who is a bit of a troublemaker, but a total momma’s boy.

Maybe I shouldn’t have answered since we have different styles, but I felt a strong need to rant when I saw the [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] question.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Milo[/name_m], it can definitely be a stand alone name and I think it works with the girl names. I would pick [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] and [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]James[/name_u] as a first name. I know a little [name_u]James[/name_u] about 3, never heard a nn used, always [name_u]James[/name_u]. [name_u]Jem[/name_u] is adorable, always reminds me of [name_f]Anne[/name_f] of [name_u]Green[/name_u] Gables. Find-lay, [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-lee. Unisex. I know many boys and girls with the name. [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. I like [name_u]Theo[/name_u], but not [name_m]Theodore[/name_m].

I think so. It certainly has a jaunty, youthful feel, but it is very handsome as well. I have never actually met a [name_m]Milo[/name_m], so I cannot exactly picture an adult named [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. However, if I met a man named [name_m]Milo[/name_m], I am sure they would wear it just fine!

Hmm, I do feel like [name_f]Lia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosie[/name_f], [name_f]Belle[/name_f], and [name_m]Milo[/name_m] (or something along those lines) would fit a little better. That said, all three names you listed do share the warm, upbeat vibe of [name_m]Milo[/name_m] ~ even if they are not as nickname-y.

[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. For some reason, [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is not at all appealing to me. Ew, phew… just not great rhyming words, haha. [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], on the other hand, is so bouncy and fun!

[name_m]Harry[/name_m]! 100% [name_m]Harry[/name_m]. I know it is viewed as the nickname for [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harrison[/name_m], but I honestly adore it as a standalone. I have never been able to get on board with [name_m]Henry[/name_m]… the [name_f]Hen[/name_f]- part doesn’t sound particularly nice to me. Sorry! [name_m]Harry[/name_m] is just so easy going and fabulous. I would definitely consider naming a son [name_m]Harry[/name_m]!

I do not find [name_u]James[/name_u] boring at all! But keep in mind this is coming from someone who loves [name_f]Anna[/name_f], [name_f]Mae[/name_f], [name_m]Ian[/name_m], and the like. I really think [name_u]James[/name_u] is soft and strong. Yes, it is popular, and for a reason.

I think you could avoid [name_u]Jamie[/name_u], no problem. The only [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] I have ever met was a girl; I honestly would not think to call a [name_u]James[/name_u] by [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] actually seems longer than [name_u]James[/name_u]!

Adorable. I have seen [name_m]Jeremy[/name_m] ([name_u]Jem[/name_u]) and [name_m]Jeremiah[/name_m] ([name_u]Jem[/name_u]) on a couple signatures and I think it is such a clever & adorable nn for a young boy. [name_f]Gemma[/name_f] is one of my top girl names, and I would use [name_f]Gem[/name_f]/Gems as an occasional nn for her. I just all around love [name_u]Jem[/name_u]/[name_f]Gem[/name_f]. Super charming!

[name_m]Findlay[/name_m]…well, my first guess would be Find-ley. I would pronounce the d. [name_u]Finlay[/name_u] and [name_u]Finley[/name_u] are both [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-ley for me.

Boy, for sure. Mainly for personal reasons, though. I have an ancestor named [name_u]Finlay[/name_u], and have never met a girl [name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]. Also, the nn [name_u]Finn[/name_u] seems very masculine to me.

[name_m]Milo[/name_m] as a nn… well, what about [name_u]Michael[/name_u], [name_u]Milan[/name_u], or [name_m]Milas[/name_m]?

[name_m]Milo[/name_m]! I have an irrational dislike of [name_m]Theodore[/name_m]. I love a lot of popular names, but I just hear [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] everywhere. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is much spunkier imo.

For some reason, I picture [name_m]Milo[/name_m] as a curly haired boy. He is super playful and mischievous. He loves to bring “treasures” from outside into the house. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is an explorer, always jumping in puddles. Through it all, he has a toothy smile. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] has such adorable imagery for me

  1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is strong enough for an adult? I’ve been loving it recently. Personally, I don’t care for it. It’ll forever be a “animal” name (thanks to [name_m]Milo[/name_m] and [name_m]Otis[/name_m]).

  2. Does [name_m]Milo[/name_m] go with girls names [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]? Despite my indifference to the name, it works with these girl names.

  3. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]? Why? [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] sounds snobby to me.

  4. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? Why? [name_m]Henry[/name_m]. Classic…to me [name_m]Harry[/name_m] is the same as Hairy and I don’t find it appealing.

  5. What are your thoughts on [name_u]James[/name_u] - classic? Handsome? Boring/ordinary? Classic…I like [name_u]James[/name_u].

  6. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] - is that inevitable? I know a lot of people named [name_u]James[/name_u]…not one goes by [name_u]Jamie[/name_u]. (Some go by [name_m]Jim[/name_m] or [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m], some go by [name_u]James[/name_u])

  7. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as an occasional nn when younger… thoughts? [name_u]Jem[/name_u] is okay.

  8. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]? [name_m]Fin[/name_m]-[name_u]Lee[/name_u] is how I pronounce all of these.

  9. When you hear [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] do you think boy or girl? Boy

I can’t think of any long forms for [name_m]Milo[/name_m]. I don’t think [name_u]James[/name_u] [name_m]Leo[/name_m] gets you to [name_m]Milo[/name_m] either.

  11. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])? Why? [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] nn [name_u]Theo[/name_u]. I already stated I don’t love [name_m]Milo[/name_m].

  12. What kind of boy do you picture when you think of a [name_m]Milo[/name_m]? I picture a dark haired boy with brown eyes. Michevious.

  1. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you think [name_m]Milo[/name_m] is strong enough for an adult? I’ve been loving it recently.
yes it is strong enough for an adult! If you’re worried, [name_m]Miles[/name_m] NN [name_m]Milo[/name_m] may be okay? But personally I think it’s very handsome

  2. Does [name_m]Milo[/name_m] go with girls names [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] nn [name_f]Rosie[/name_f] and [name_f]Isabelle[/name_f]?
Yes! They have different syllables, but it certainly doesn’t scream “DIFFERENT” to me

  3. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] or [name_m]Hugo[/name_m]? Why?
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m]! It sounds much more stronger and classic

  4. [name_m]Henry[/name_m] or [name_m]Harry[/name_m]? Why?
    [name_m]Henry[/name_m]! Same reason as above

  5. What are your thoughts on [name_u]James[/name_u] - classic? Handsome? Boring/ordinary?
I really like [name_u]James[/name_u], it’s classic and handsome, definitely not boring. To me, boring names are not classic

  6. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] - is that inevitable?
Maybe as a child, but as long as they are introduced as [name_u]JAMES[/name_u] not [name_u]JAMIE[/name_u] you should be fine

  7. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] as an occasional nn when younger… thoughts?
Omg I actually love that nickname!

  8. [name_m]How[/name_m] do you pronounce [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]?
Not a fan sorry! It feels more trendy with less substance

  9. When you hear [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u] do you think boy or girl?
    both

That is pushing it a little bit. [name_u]Michael[/name_u] could also work!

  11. [name_m]Milo[/name_m] or [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] ([name_u]Theo[/name_u])? Why?
[name_m]Theodore[/name_m]! There is nothing wrong with [name_m]Miles[/name_m], I just really really love [name_m]THeodore[/name_m]

  12. What kind of boy do you picture when you think of a [name_m]Milo[/name_m]?
A little skinny kid who’s adventurous (probably because of [name_f]Atlantis[/name_f])

  1. I can definitely imagine an adult named [name_m]Milo[/name_m]! I probably wouldn’t choose it, but I like it a lot.

  2. Yes, all of the above!

  3. [name_m]Hugh[/name_m] is a bit more dashing and sophisticated so I prefer it.

  4. I like both, but I think [name_m]Henry[/name_m] is so cute for a little boy but also grows up nicely.

  5. Definitely classic! I love [name_u]James[/name_u]!

  6. I don’t like [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] either and I definitely don’t think this is one of those ‘inevitable’ nicknames. I would not automatically think [name_u]Jamie[/name_u] for someone named [name_u]James[/name_u]. In fact, personally I would think [name_m]Jim[/name_m] and [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] first.

  7. I like [name_u]Jem[/name_u], but definitely only when they’re younger.

  8. [name_m]Findlay[/name_m]/[name_u]Finlay[/name_u]/[name_u]Finley[/name_u] - I announce them slightly differently but basically exactly how their written. The last, [name_u]Finley[/name_u], is definitely the best in my opinion. fin - lee

  9. Definitely girl! But when I hear [name_u]Finn[/name_u], I definitely think boy.

  10. [name_m]Miller[/name_m] maybe. I think it can easily stand alone as well.

  11. AAH I love [name_u]Theo[/name_u]!!

  12. I picture a smart blondie - inquisitive, curious, adventurous
