Pregnant and my name dilemma is driving me nuts!
I think i love one name over another- but which one compliments Amelia the best???
I love strong sweet and feminine names.

Honestly I think both go really well with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f]! It just depends on what vibe you want. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f] are both feminine, soft, and classic with a bit of [name_u]French[/name_u] influence. [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] feel a bit more like a modern pair and give off a spunky, sassy feel. I would assume neither [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] nor [name_f]Elise[/name_f] have nicknames, but could easily see [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] becoming Millie/Mia and Penny/Nellie/Poppy.
Based on personal preference, I like [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]. But again both could work!

For some reason i feel hesitant that [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] just isn’t as pretty of a name but I’ve definitely liked it for a while. I’m just having cold feet.

You’re welcome - I really love your style! Although I’m sure my answer didn’t do much to help you decide lol I think in this case it really comes down to what you feel in your gut is the right choice for you and your baby.
Maybe ask yourself some questions: Does Penelope feel less pretty to you in general or just when you compare it to Elise? Do you generally prefer Elise to Penelope? Do you know what is it about Penelope that you like enough to keep it on your list? Is your daughter old enough to participate in the naming process? And if so, is that something you want her to do? I know a lot of times people end up choosing names based on their older children’s opinions, so that’s always an option as well!
You could also keep both Elise and Penelope and decide once you see her. I know nowadays there seems to be a lot of pressure to pick out a name ahead of time, but there’s nothing wrong with holding onto both until you meet her! If you do decide before she gets here, that’s great, but I wouldn’t push a decision just for the sake of picking one beforehand.

[name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f] have very similar vibes for me, so [name_f]Elise[/name_f] gets my vote. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] works fine with [name_f]Amelia[/name_f], too; it’s just not the best match, imho. But you really can’t go wrong with either.
Both go well but I love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]!
I think [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] has such a soft, pretty feel to it and that [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] doesn’t fit that. It’s not pretty enough. [name_f]My[/name_f] vote is [name_f]Elise[/name_f]!
I love both though, I just see [name_f]Elise[/name_f] as a better fit

I love both,but I definitely prefer Elise,especially with Amelia,but they’re both great names with great nickname options,Elise just feels more elegant,unique ,sweet and fresh,but I may be biased since every third child is called [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] where I live and I personally find it a bit boring because of that
Both are amazing names. I personally prefer [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] because I feel it compliments [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] better and it has lots of nickname options, that being said [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is also a beautiful name and also compliments [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] so you can’t go wrong!!
I voted for [name_f]Elise[/name_f] but really like both names. [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is just underused to me whereas [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] has become more popular.
I chose [name_f]Penelope[/name_f], but just barely!! Both would be awesome!!! If you haven’t already chosen a middle and would be open to it, either [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] [name_f]Elise[/name_f] or [name_f]Elise[/name_f] [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] would be beautiful!! 
I know two sisters called [name_f]Amelia[/name_f] and [name_f]Elise[/name_f] and they are lovely together!
I went with [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] for Amelia’s sister but [name_f]Elise[/name_f] is my daughters middle name so of course I love that (but I do love [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] just as much). Both are wonderful choices though!
