I am not Scottish IN THE SLIGHTEST, so would this name be offensive?

I don’t think it would offensive at all but Quinn Scotland is a very out there name. Personally I don’t like either name separately or together but it’s your choice!

It’s very adventurous, but I’m a fan of adventurous names!

I don’t think it’s odd at all that you’re not Scottish, I just might assume that you’ve been to [name_u]Scotland[/name_u] and thought it was pretty cool, or you’re honoring a [name_u]Scott[/name_u].

I love this name, and I don’t think it would be considered offensive, but I am not Scottish either so technically I can’t really answer. But I’d think it would be considered just like any other place name. People named [name_u]Paris[/name_u] who aren’t [name_u]French[/name_u] and never been to [name_f]France[/name_f] aren’t considered offensive or weird at all to my knowledge.

It’s definitely very unisex, so that’s something to think about, but I do like both [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and [name_u]Scotland[/name_u]. I don’t think using [name_u]Scotland[/name_u] without being Scottish is offensive, but I do think it’s a little strange to use it without some connection to the place (like it being a favorite place you’ve visited, etc), but I would say that about any place name!

i’m scottish and it’s definitely not offensive, i just find it quite odd that it’s used as a name at all (i feel the same about india, kenya, america etc)

quinn scotland is a cool combo though !

I dont think its offensive because celebrities have used [name_u]Scotland[/name_u] and [name_u]Ireland[/name_u]. There are lots of place names
. I do think it sounds really feminine though if that matters to you. If I heard the name [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_u]Scotland[/name_u], I would assume girl name and find it rather pretty versus handsome. It also sounds like a character name versus a real life person’s name to me but these are just my personal opinion.

I just like the sound of [name_u]Scotland[/name_u], the place honestly has no significance to me, although I should probably find something before using it, lol :herb:

I agree with this! I think Scotland is just unusual enough that I would assume some significance! However, I definitely don’t think it’s a necessary component of a name. Quinn Scotland has a nice sound and would be refreshing on a boy (though some may assume girl first)!
