Quinn.. Whaddya think?

This is one name my husband and I have always liked, but the name nerd inside me set it aside because I was gun-ho on getting a name without an “n” or “a” ending. Trying to get rid of my neurocies though so I’m revisiting [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] (middle name after my grandmother). What do you think of the name [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] with siblings [name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]? Does it give a nice Irishy feel? Last name similar to [name_u]McCarthy[/name_u].

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] is really sweet sounding to me. I went to high school with a [name_f]Loretta[/name_f], and she was a gorgeous, kind-hearted girl, so I have a great assocation with it. She was Peruvian though, so I don’t think Irish. [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is definitely having the Irish vibe, however!

I think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] goes well with your sibset of [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_f]Brenna[/name_f].

[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is all boy to me, especially with siblings named [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_f]Brenna[/name_f]. Sorry!

I love [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] and it sounds really good with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_f]Brenna[/name_f].

I think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] is gorgeous with your sibset. I don’t think of it as Irish, though - maybe because I live in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f] and have never met a single [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] (male or female, human or otherwise).

I think it’s cute in the set. It sounds vaguely 'Irish-ey," but [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is still kind of in limbo as not really either a boy name or a girl name right now. [name_u]Mason[/name_u] is obviously the boy, [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] obviously the girl, [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] I would have to ask. [name_m]Just[/name_m] something to consider.

I like [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] but it don’t get an Irishy feel from it. [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] on a boy gives off an Irish feel but [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] on a girl gives off a modern, American vibe. I know a couple that was expecting a girl a few months ago and the wife suggested [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] but the husband (who was from [name_f]Ireland[/name_f], recently immigrated to the US) thought it was weird on a girl since it’s only used on boys in [name_f]Ireland[/name_f].

I like [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]! The unisex-ness of [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is balanced with the obvious feminine [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]. I would be a little worried about the fact that [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is still pretty equal in a boys to girls ratio. If I were you, I would probably introduce her as “Our little girl, [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]” to keep those problems away.

I like the name [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], and I like your combo  , but just so you know, I’d expect a [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] to be a boy - in case that matters to you!

[name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] are so sweet together!

I’ve always thought of [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] as a girl’s name, probably because I know a female [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] (25ish) and also because of the cartoon character on the MTV show [name_f]Daria[/name_f].

I think it’s a great name and goes nicely with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] (as long as [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] doesn’t get shortened to [name_f]Bren[/name_f] as a nn-- then it’s a little matchy-matchy).

I love the sound of [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]! I go back and forth on whether or not I am in love with [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. I find i don’t like it paired with a lot of names but I really like the sound of [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]. I have only met a girl [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], so it is reflexively girl to me. I also considered it for a girl name for a bit, and wouldn’t consider it for a boy name at all. It looks feminine to me, but I hear what the others are saying about the ambiguity for sure.

I think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] is lovely, and I really like [name_u]Mason[/name_u], [name_f]Brenna[/name_f], and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] together! While I’m usually a fan of unisex/boys’ names only on boys (I love [name_u]Avery[/name_u], [name_u]Bailey[/name_u], [name_u]Harper[/name_u], [name_u]Emerson[/name_u], and [name_u]Aubrey[/name_u] on boys, for crying out loud!), but [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]‘s been fully a girls’ name to me for a while now. However, with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_f]Brenna[/name_f], I honestly wouldn’t know which gender [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] was. I could see brothers named [name_u]Mason[/name_u] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], and I could see sisters named [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] and [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. And there’s something quite lacy and feminine about [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]. I really like it with [name_u]Mason[/name_u] [name_m]Patrick[/name_m] and [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f].

I know a [name_f]Michaela[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and I like it but she hates it. I like it and it goes well with [name_f]Brenna[/name_f] and [name_u]Mason[/name_u].

I love [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Loretta[/name_f]! [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] is my mom’s name and I also love [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. Q names aren’t really popular and I love nice names that start with an uncommon letter.

I love it… [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] is a girls name for me…

[name_f]Michaela[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] was the name of a TV character (one of my favourites i’m not ashamed to admit!) so maybe that’s why she hated it… sorry I couldn’t help but mention that.

I went to school with a [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] and she rocked her name.

I like the name. It’s unisex I believe. [name_f]Loretta[/name_f] makes it more feminine. Congrats on your new baby!
