My husband and I both like the name [name]Quinn[/name] but our last name starts with a K (2 syllables). I’m trying to figure out if [name]Quinn[/name] K… is too alliterative. What do people think? Thanks!
I think it would be fine! I really like the name [name]Quinn[/name]!
I think to some extent it depends on the name, but I’m trying it out with the K 2-syllable last names of friends that I can think of, and it’s usually fine. I think if there’s a W sound in the K name or the K name also ends in N, it’s harder, but otherwise it’s OK. [name]Quinn[/name] is a nice name!
It will be alliterative, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing! It can actually sound really nice depending on the names.
I think it’s probably fine, but like PP said it may depend on the actual name. A Kw- sound at the beginning would sound alliterative, and an -n sound at the end would sound rhyme-y. Other than those 2 things, I can’t think of any other reason why it wouldn’t work.
I think a 2-syllable K last name is OK with the name [name]Quinn[/name]… a one-syllable K name could sound awkward, but you should be fine.
Thanks, everyone! I thought it sounded okay, but then was second guessing myself!
[name]Quinn[/name]'s a great middle name.
I love it with a K surname. Very sharp and crisp.
