Quintin or Quinton or Quentin?

[name_f]My[/name_f] friend is a demigirl & thy are currently leading towards the spelling [name_m]Quintin[/name_m]. They think it feels unisex & is “cool”, but also likes the name in itself. The middle is [name_u]Mars[/name_u]. One-syllable last name/surname starting with M. What is your favorite spelling?

I’d pronounce all of them differently?

My favorite is [name_u]Quentin[/name_u], but if your friend loves [name_m]Quintin[/name_m] they should go with that!

They say them all as kwin-tin, but I see where that comes from.

I would say [name_u]Quentin[/name_u] differently than the other two. Because of that, my vote goes to [name_m]Quintin[/name_m]. The I spelling also seems more gender-neutral than [name_m]Quinton[/name_m], which feels very masculine to me.

I would do [name_m]Quintin[/name_m] for the pronunciation kwin-tin and I agree with @EagleEyes in saying that this spelling looks the most gender neutral!

As someone living with the name [name_u]Quentin[/name_u], people do pronounce it more like kwen-tin and now kwin-tin, so if you’re friend likes the kwin-tin pronunciation, go with the [name_m]Quintin[/name_m] spelling! (I am biased tho and I think the [name_u]Quentin[/name_u] spelling looks best)

Congrats to your friend on choosing a new name!
