When I talk to people about my names people often describe them as quirky. From my understanding quirky can mean unique or weird. When speaking face to face, expressions can convey which meaning it is used for but it you can’t see faces through a computer screen. [name_f]Do[/name_f] you take quirky to mean a good thing or a bad thing?
I think of quirky as a good thing. “Weird” sounds negative, so I think of “quirky” as a way of saying it’s “unusual, but in a cute or charming way”.

To me quirky means unique in a fun and charming way, something cool but unexpected

I think it’s a good thing! However, people may use the word as a nicer version of weird or strange. Kind of as a coverup of their real feelings behind the name.

Depends on who uses the word really, I know if my foster mom says a name I like is “quirky” it also comes with a face lol but if my sister or cousins call a name I like “quirky” I know they mean “oh thats off the beaten path and very cool”
