R.R.R. Tradition

It’s tradition on my dad’s side for the first son to have the initials RRR. My grandpa was [name]Roland[/name] Rr. … apparently because they ran out of R names after [name]Richard[/name] [name]Ray[/name], [name]Robert[/name] [name]Roy[/name], and [name]Ralph[/name] [name]Raymond[/name].

What would you name a son to follow the RRR tradition?

My favorite boys’ R names are probably …

[name]Rollo[/name] (In a guilty pleasure sort of way. I love this name in the abstract, but I think it probably isn’t usable.)

For combos … maybe …

[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Rafe[/name] or [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Rafe[/name]
[name]Rafferty[/name] [name]Rex[/name]
[name]Ronan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]
[name]Rocco[/name] Rhydian
[name]Ranulph[/name] [name]Rory[/name]
[name]Rafe[/name] [name]Redmond[/name]

[name]EDIT[/name]: I forgot [name]Reed[/name] / [name]Reid[/name], [name]Rhett[/name], [name]Ramsey[/name] / [name]Ramsay[/name], [name]Roman[/name], [name]Rowley[/name], [name]Royal[/name], [name]River[/name], [name]Ridley[/name] … R is actually a really great letter for boys’ names. I never realized how much I like it before.

SECOND [name]EDIT[/name]: And [name]Ruben[/name] / [name]Reuben[/name]!

[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Ryder[/name]
[name]River[/name] [name]Ransom[/name]
[name]Reid[/name] [name]Robert[/name]
[name]Royston[/name] [name]Rhett[/name]
[name]Roosevelt[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]
Riker [name]Rebel[/name]
[name]Rufus[/name] [name]Redford[/name]
[name]Radley[/name] [name]Rogue[/name]

Oh, wow! [name]Ransom[/name] and [name]Rufus[/name]! [name]Both[/name] loves of mine which I also completely forgot about until [name]Delissa[/name] posted them. Actually, [name]Ransom[/name] and [name]Rufus[/name] would make for an awesome, if overly matchy, sibset.

Okay, it’s time for me to leave this thread now.

[name]Raphael[/name] [name]Rhett[/name] <3

[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Rex[/name]

[name]Raoul[/name] [name]Ronan[/name]

[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]

I also actually like Roland but I am a huge mark for the Gunslinger books so that’s probably why.

I’d name my son [name]Reginald[/name] [name]Robert[/name].

You could also name him [name]Robert[/name] or [name]Richard[/name] and use a different nickname.

For a middle name, I think it would be great to use the first name of someone in your family. That way, you’re honoring someone and you don’t have to worry about finding another R name!

I like [name]Ronan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]!

[name]Riley[/name] [name]River[/name] is my favorite.

R names that I like:

I’d probably use [name]Rafferty[/name] [name]Rhys[/name].

R is actually the letter on my boys list with the most names! There are a lot of great ones, many of which have already been mentioned, like [name]Ransom[/name], [name]Rufus[/name], [name]Rupert[/name], [name]Remy[/name], [name]Rhys[/name], [name]Rafferty[/name]…so many!

I don’t think these have been mentioned yet:
Rowling (great if you’re a big HP fan)

[name]Edit[/name]: (sorry, forgot to answer the actual question) Here are a few combos

[name]Roarke[/name] [name]Ransom[/name]
[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Royce[/name]
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Rutherford[/name]
[name]Remy[/name] [name]Reynolds[/name]
[name]Renault[/name] [name]Roux[/name]
[name]Rupert[/name] [name]Rafferty[/name]

[name]Reuben[/name] [name]Rocco[/name]

[name]LOVE[/name] [name]Rafferty[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]!

You guys are so creative  My father and my brother’s names do repeat some of the ones I listed. Thanks for the input!

I would probably use [name]Rhys[/name] or [name]Rowan[/name] as the FN:

[name]Rhys[/name] [name]River[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name] [name]Rowan[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name] [name]Robert[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name] [name]Rupert[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Robert[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]Rhys[/name]
[name]Rowan[/name] [name]River[/name]
[name]Rhys[/name] [name]Rory[/name]
