I have been really crushing on this name lately; I read a novel several years ago about the Biblical one and she’s always stuck with me. She sort of feels like dark academia meets quirky Biblical which I weirdly love though I wouldn’t say it’s my normal aesthetic. What do you think of her? She’s mostly said like RAY-hab in [name_f]English[/name_f], although I think in Hebrew she’s more like rah-khab or rah-khav. There’s a couple potential meanings but “spacious” seems to be the most common one.
I’m leaning more toward using her as a middle, but tbh I’m just feeling her out at this point. Any combo ideas? So far I really love the look of [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] but don’t think I would use it since [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] sort of turns into [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_m]Ahab[/name_m] and [name_m]Ahab[/name_m] was a much less savory Bible character lol.
Anyway, would love to know your thoughts in general and what first name(s) you would pair with her! Thank you!
but I think it works well as a middle name! I agree that it would probably work better with a name that doesn’t end with an R sound so they don’t run into each other.
im sure you’ve probably considered this, but what about [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rahab[/name_f]? that solves the issue of the names blending together, plus I think it flows beautifully!
@greyblue - thanks girl! I’m intrigued by [name_f]Juniper[/name_f] and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] with [name_f]Rahab[/name_f], although I am currently smitten with [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] [name_f]Wisteria[/name_f], so probably not [name_f]Zoe[/name_f]. [name_f]Love[/name_f] [name_f]Anya[/name_f] but I don’t love [name_f]Anya[/name_f] [name_f]Rahab[/name_f], weirdly.
@miloowen - intriguing, I’m not surprised by Rachav at all. Reminds me of [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] a bit, which takes away from the distinctiveness of [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] for me, but I do like it! I do like [name_f]Liora[/name_f] and [name_f]Alba[/name_f] with her (or Rahab). Also like [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] [name_f]Rahab[/name_f], I’ve been on a [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] kick lately. Also like [name_f]Celeste[/name_f] with [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] although I’d probably do _____ [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] [name_f]Celeste[/name_f]?
@VEL - thank you! I’m intrigued by [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Helena[/name_f] with [name_f]Rahab[/name_f]! [name_f]Do[/name_f] really like [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] with [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] as well, I’ve been mulling that over myself.
@sparkleninja18 - thanks! I know, that’s a common complaint about the name I saw on btn. I think it’s less problematic as a middle though? And I actually didn’t consider [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] Rahab… you’re right that it does flow well but I like it more as a first middle I’m also considering [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] and [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] with her, I sort of like [name_f]Liliana[/name_f] [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] (although the transition from B to P in [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] [name_f]Plum[/name_f] isn’t great) and [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] Ruth/Adelaide [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] Eliza/Adelaide [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f].
[name_f]Rahab[/name_f] is gorgeous!! I also think [name_f]Claire[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Rahab[/name_f] could prevent the names from running together
