Raina

So, I have always loved the name [name_f]Rainey[/name_f] but not enough to use on its own. Last night, I was reading my daughter a favorite book of mine and the child’s name is “[name_f]Rayna[/name_f]”–I suddenly LOVED the name! Now I cannot get [name_f]Raina[/name_f] out of my head. What are your thoughts? Is it usable these days?

I’ve always liked [name_f]Raina[/name_f]. Totally usable, in my opinion!

I think it’s nice, but a bit too close to rain. [name_m]How[/name_m] about [name_f]Reina[/name_f]? Then it’s much more queen-like, and [name_f]IMO[/name_f], very beautiful!

[name_f]Reina[/name_f]/ [name_f]Raina[/name_f]/ [name_f]Rayna[/name_f] nn: [name_f]Rainey[/name_f] is cute. It’s much better than [name_f]Lorraine[/name_f], which is the other way to get at the nn. I personally like the [name_f]Reina[/name_f] spelling best. I think it ages a little better than [name_f]Raina[/name_f], but it’s not a strong opinion.

I’m not a fan, but I think it is usable!

Fine with me! I know a much much older [name_f]Raina[/name_f]! She’s bright and bubbly.

I like it. I have a cousin [name_f]Rayna[/name_f] (she just turned 7).

Not a fan, yet somehow I love the name [name_f]Lorena[/name_f].

I like [name_f]Reina[/name_f] better than [name_f]Raina[/name_f]. A cute middle could be [name_f]Reina[/name_f] [name_f]Diane[/name_f] or [name_f]Reina[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]. However if you choose to use [name_f]Reina[/name_f] there will be many people mispelling her name. Good luck!

Nms, but usable for sure! I like the [name_f]Reina[/name_f] spelling best.

Not my fave but for sure usable

My main issue is that it will probably skyrocket in the next couple of years due to [name_u]Connie[/name_u] [name_u]Britton[/name_u]'s character on Nashville, if it hasn’t already.

My niece is named [name_f]Lorena[/name_f], and my kids call her [name_f]Raina[/name_f] for short.

[name_f]Raina[/name_f] is definitely usable. I like the [name_f]Reina[/name_f] spelling better though.
