I have struggled with infertility and have suffered a few miscarriages though I’m not currently pregnant we are still trying and have a friend who offered to be a gestational surrogate if need be. We are still struggling to agree on a girl name. I do want to use my grandmothers name ([name_f]Mae[/name_f]) as either first or middle name and would like something meaningful to go with it. I’ve always loved the name [name_f]Aria[/name_f] (don’t know why just love it) though my fiancée does not like that name and I would prefer something we both like. Any suggestions?

[name_f]Mae[/name_f] is a great name to work with. It goes with pretty much any names as a sweet, girly middle so you’ve got a lot of names to choose from! Has your fiancé suggested any names he likes? A few examples of his taste would make it easier for us to make suggestions you both might like.

My first thought is [name_f]Esme[/name_f], if you’re open to use not exactly [name_f]Mae[/name_f] ([name_f]Esme[/name_f] has the same sounding end, so similar enough). It means beloved, so seems just perfect.

I considered [name_f]Iris[/name_f] for my own rainbow baby’s middle name (though I did not end up using it), as [name_f]Iris[/name_f] means rainbow.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], or [name_f]Aria[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] would be lovely choices! I am wishing you all the luck in the world.
My first thought is to combine [name_f]Mae[/name_f] and [name_f]Aria[/name_f] into [name_f]Mariah[/name_f] but that’s just my silly line of thought.
