Ariel> Daphne> Ella> Teddy> Darcy
I really love Ariel on both boys and girls
Daphne is sooo sweet I like it
Ella as just been too popular at least I have met quite a few
Teddy I love as a nn not as a full name I guess
Darcy is really not my style

That’s my problem with the name ella too like I love it it’s super pretty it has some personal significance but I feel like everyone knows 5 now. I feel the [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] as a nn thing but I really don’t like any longer versions. I’m also just not super crazy about longer names in general. They’re very pretty but impractical ya feel? [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is definitely more out there but that’s part of the charm for me plus it has a very delicate and dainty ballerina feel without feeling willowy. Admittedly I do also have niche personal considerations like how it sounds with a southern accent (I’m Texan) and how easy it is to sign (I’m going deaf) which is part of why I’m not too crazy about longer names.

Well either way you go I think all names are great and they all hold something special to you so you just got to go with your heart
Ella is in fact getting popular but if you love it then that shouldn’t stop you from using it because if it is getting more popular it’s because it is a wonderful name
I usually would use Teddy as a nickname but if you don’t care for longer names that Teddy by itself is also fine
Darcy is just not my style but I can see the appeal because it is in fact a beautiful name

[name_f]Ella[/name_f] - This name has tremendous sentimental value to me (long story). It is very popular though, and I never really saw the appeal.
[name_u]Ariel[/name_u] - I will only ever associate this name with The [name_m]Little[/name_m] Mermaid, which ruins it for me, but I really just don’t like it to begin with.
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] - I don’t really like this name, I don’t know why.
[name_u]Teddy[/name_u] - [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is an adorable name, but more of a GP because I can’t imagine an adult [name_u]Teddy[/name_u].

GP stands for guilty pleasure. A name you love but would never use for some reason.

I love love love [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] but only for a boy and I really love [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] but specifically this spelling

oooh [name_f]Arielle[/name_f] is SUPER pretty, I don’t think I would go for it because it would obviously be misspelled a lot and become a whole Thing but I do really love it

[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] are my favorites! I voted for [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] though because I think she’ll get fewer votes.

Here is my favorite to least favorite list-
Ella-I love [name_f]Ella[/name_f]. It’s simple & pretty & spunky but also romantic & glamorous. It has the roaring 20s flapper vibe that I love. It’s super duper popular though, if that bothers you. I also slightly prefer [name_f]Ella[/name_f] as a nn myself. [name_f]Eloisa[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanora[/name_f] or [name_f]Estella[/name_f] nn [name_f]Ella[/name_f] maybe?
Ariel-It’s really nice & has a great calming vibe to it. The only thing that bugs me about [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] is that it kind of has two pronunciations, which could get annoying. I prefer Air-ee-el, but some people might say ‘Are-ee-el’.
Daphne-Daphne is cute. Kind of exotic but simple & friendly. Has a cutesy sound, but I think works well for a grown up.
Teddy-I don’t mind this for a girl, but definitely better as a nn. [name_f]Theodora[/name_f] nn [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is fun. [name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is getting quite popular for boys.
Darcy-Just not a fan of the sound of this one. Not sure why.

[name_u]Teddy[/name_u] is definitely my favorite!! It’s sweet, spunky, and very cool. I also like how it has a soft, gentle vibe while still being strong. I also think it works so well on any age (baby, child, teen, adult!)
I love [name_f]Ella[/name_f] too! Surprisingly, I think I’ve only known one [name_f]Ella[/name_f]! I think it’s such a pretty, lively name.
I’ve never been a fan of [name_f]Daphne[/name_f], I’m sorry. It’s just nms!
[name_u]Darcy[/name_u] and [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] are lovely, but [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is 100% a boy name to me, and I also prefer [name_u]Ariel[/name_u] on boys!
