Rank my favorite names!

I love all of these names and cannot decide how I want to rank them! What are your thoughts and opinions? More importantly, how would you rank my list (in order of most to least favorite)?

[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (nn [name]Daffodil[/name])
[name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (nn [name]Bree[/name])
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] (nn [name]Trixie[/name])
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (nn [name]Tilly[/name]/[name]Mattie[/name])
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name])

Name and nickname suggestions would also be much appreciated!

  • [name]Nora[/name]
  1. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name]
  2. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
  3. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
  4. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]
  5. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]

I don’t dislike any though! [name]Beatrice[/name] and [name]Matilda[/name] I particularly love.

I actually like all of your middle names better than your first. Here’s how I’d rank based on what you have:

(1) [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
(2) [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]
(3) [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name]
(4) [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (not a fan of this nn for [name]Daphne[/name] at all, which is why I ranked it 4th)
(5) [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]

If I changed the middles and firsts, my rank would look like this:

(1) [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Daphne[/name]
(2) [name]Elizabeth[/name] [name]Sabrina[/name]
(3) [name]Anna[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name]
(4) [name]Jane[/name] [name]Matilda[/name]
(5) [name]Vivian[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] (though I’d spell it [name]Vivienne[/name])

I love all your middle names, but I’m not a fan of the first names. There’s nothing really bad about them. They’re just not my style.

  1. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (nn [name]Tilly[/name]/[name]Mattie[/name])
  2. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name])
  3. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (nn [name]Daffodil[/name])
  4. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] (nn [name]Trixie[/name])
  5. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (nn [name]Bree[/name])

I actually love [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] as a combo best (gorgeous rhythm), but [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] edged it out simply because I prefer the nicknames you listed for [name]Matilda[/name] to [name]Charlie[/name] for [name]Charlotte[/name]. I’d suggest [name]Lottie[/name] as an alternative to [name]Charlie[/name]. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] is also stunning as a full name; the only reason it’s lower is because the names by themselves are not among my absolute favorites. Also, I’m not sure how I feel about [name]Daffodil[/name] as an everyday nickname, though it’s certainly cute as a private pet name. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] is nice enough, and [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] flows well, though neither name has that ‘wow’ factor, in my opinion. Overall, lovely choices!

  1. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (nn [name]Daffodil[/name])- [name]LOVE[/name]! Some other nn might be [name]Effie[/name] or Fi
  2. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (nn [name]Bree[/name]) I prefer [name]Sabrina[/name] over [name]Beatrice[/name], but [name]Trixie[/name] over [name]Bree[/name]
  3. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] (nn [name]Trixie[/name])
  4. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (nn [name]Tilly[/name]/[name]Mattie[/name])- cute and I think [name]Matilda[/name] is underused
  5. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name])- [name]Charlotte[/name] is gorgeous, though pretty popular. Some other nn might be [name]Lottie[/name], [name]Lolly[/name], [name]Lola[/name] or [name]Arly[/name]

I like all of them!
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (nn [name]Tilly[/name]/[name]Mattie[/name])- Adorable and I love both nicknames.
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (nn [name]Daffodil[/name])-[name]Love[/name] this name and the nickname too.
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] (nn [name]Trixie[/name])-Big fan of [name]Beatrice[/name], but I hate [name]Trixie[/name]- Maybe [name]Bea[/name] or [name]Cece[/name] or something else
[name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (nn [name]Bree[/name])-I like [name]Sabrina[/name], just not with [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name])-[name]Just[/name] not a fan of [name]Charlotte[/name] that much and I don’t like [name]Charlie[/name]. [name]Lottie[/name] is kinda cute to me.

I think its funny you choose [name]Daphne[/name] and [name]Sabrina[/name], because those are the names of two characters from a kids book series that was popular and my cousins favorite a few years ago. [name]Just[/name] funny to me.

  1. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name]) – by far, my favorite. Other nicknames could include [name]Carly[/name] and [name]Vivi[/name].

  2. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (nn [name]Tilly[/name]/[name]Mattie[/name]) – very cute, with adorable nickname options. [name]Just[/name] FYI, this is the name of a children’s clothing company. http://www.matildajaneclothing.com/

  3. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] (nn [name]Trixie[/name]) – also very cute, but I might choose [name]Anne[/name] instead of [name]Anna[/name], because [name]Trixie[/name] [name]Anne[/name] sounds so sweet.

  4. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (nn [name]Daffodil[/name]) – I have mixed feelings about calling a child by the name [name]Daffodil[/name], and I’m afraid it would lead to “[name]Daffy[/name]”, but I like the full name.

  5. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (nn [name]Bree[/name]) – this is the only combination I dislike. [name]Sabrina[/name] feels very outdated to me, and [name]Bree[/name] sounds like a topless centerfold model to me for some reason. :frowning:

1 [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - lovely vintage pairing
2 [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] - two of my favourite classic names
3 [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] - I like this combo as well as [name]Anna[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] ([name]Annie[/name] [name]Bea[/name])
4 [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] - [name]Sabrina[/name] is a lovely Celtic name
5 [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] - I love [name]Daphne[/name] but surprisingly I’m not crazy about the name [name]Victoria[/name] (as a British royal history buff, that’s almost blasphemous :)).

  1. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. I love [name]Matilda[/name], and I absolutely adore [name]Jane[/name]! This is such a spunky name.
  2. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name]. I looooove [name]Beatrice[/name]! I’m not so crazy about [name]Anna[/name], though—it’s sort of boring. [name]How[/name] about [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Jane[/name]? (You obviously like [name]Jane[/name]…)
  3. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]. Pretty…doesn’t really pop out to me though…
  4. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]. I like [name]Elizabeth[/name], but [name]Sabrina[/name] seems sort of…I dunno. I don’t love the flow, that’s all.
  5. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]. I’ve never been a fan of either of those names.

Go for [name]Matilda[/name]/[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Jane[/name]! Good luck!

  1. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
  2. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name]
  3. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
  4. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
  5. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]

I’ve got to admit that I’ve always had a knee-jerk reaction against [name]Charlotte[/name] after the amount of “harlot” teasing one of my friends with that name got when we started high school. So I’m biased there. [name]Love[/name] [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]. I really like [name]Beatrice[/name] but would pair it with a different middle name (maybe [name]Jane[/name], if you like [name]Jane[/name]?). It just doesn’t quite feel right with [name]Anna[/name] to me, which is why I put the combo second. The others don’t strike me particularly either way.

  1. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (very sweet)
  2. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] (classic, vintage)
  3. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] (nice but a bit clunky)
  4. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (a little dated [name]IMO[/name])
  5. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (I am not a fan of [name]Sabrina[/name]… I don’t know why, but I have always found it a little trashy)
  1. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]- spunky, sweet and perfectly wearable. just edged out by [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] by a tiny bit
  2. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name]- pretty and classic, with old-fashioned charm
  3. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]- I love both names on their own, though [name]Sabrina[/name]'s a lot more modern than the classic [name]Elizabeth[/name] so pairing them together feels a bit strange. [name]Bree[/name] is a wonderfully creative nickname for [name]Sabrina[/name]!
  4. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]- love [name]Charlotte[/name], not so keen on [name]Vivian[/name], and this combo just doesn’t have much pizzazz
  5. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]- love [name]Victoria[/name], but strongly dislike [name]Daphne[/name] because of the harsh consonant cluster. [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Beatrice[/name] or [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Charlotte[/name] would be lovely. My own combo is [name]Victoria[/name] [name]Juliet[/name].

Favourite to least:
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] ‘[name]Tilly[/name]’
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] ‘[name]Lottie[/name]’
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] ‘[name]Bea[/name]’

[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] ‘[name]Daffy[/name]’
[name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] ‘[name]Rina[/name]’

[name]Serena[/name] [name]Claire[/name] ‘[name]Rena[/name]’
[name]Wilhelmina[/name] [name]Rose[/name] ‘[name]Willa[/name]’
[name]Catherine[/name] [name]Mila[/name] ‘[name]Cate[/name]’
[name]Alexandra[/name] [name]Jane[/name] ‘[name]Alex[/name]’
[name]Eloise[/name] [name]Rachel[/name] ‘[name]Elle[/name]’
[name]Eleanor[/name] [name]Grace[/name] ‘[name]Ellie[/name]’
[name]Leona[/name] [name]Jasmine[/name] ‘[name]Leona[/name]’
[name]Penelope[/name] [name]Caitlin[/name] ‘[name]Penny[/name]’
[name]Olivia[/name] [name]Marianne[/name] ‘[name]Livy[/name]’

Thank you all for your opinions!

catreynolds: Thank you for telling me about the children’s clothing line ‘[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]’, which is a factor in my overall ranking.
peacelovepurple & inthemorning: [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Jane[/name] is a great suggestion, that I will take into consideration.
alexa400: I love the nn [name]Effie[/name] for [name]Daphne[/name]! It’s so cute and I would have never thought of it myself.
tori101: Thank you for all of the name/middle name combos! [name]Serena[/name], [name]Eloise[/name], [name]Eleanor[/name], [name]Penelope[/name], and [name]Olivia[/name] are all on my list as well. I also love the nn [name]Livy[/name] for [name]Olivia[/name]

Based on all of your rankings/suggestions:

  1. [name]Matilda[/name] “[name]Tilly[/name]/[name]Mattie[/name]” [name]Jane[/name] (or [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] due to the existing children’s line with the name [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name])
  2. [name]Beatrice[/name] “[name]Trixie[/name]/[name]Bea[/name]” [name]Anna[/name] (or [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Ann[/name]/[name]Jane[/name])
  3. [name]Daphne[/name] “[name]Effie[/name]/[name]Daffodil[/name]” [name]Victoria[/name]
  4. [name]Charlotte[/name] “[name]Lottie[/name]/[name]Charlie[/name]” [name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Sabrina[/name] “[name]Bree[/name]/[name]Rina[/name]” [name]Elizabeth[/name] (I have actually decided to eliminate this from my list entirely)
  1. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (the only one I actually like)
  2. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]
  3. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
  4. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
  5. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name]

If I could mix and match I would also love [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Victoria[/name], and [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]

[name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name]
[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]

[name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name]
[name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name]
[name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name]
[name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name]
[name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name]

  1. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] - love.
  2. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] - pretty.
  3. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] - pretty combo just not a huge fan of [name]Beatrice[/name]/[name]Trixie[/name].
  4. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] - not a fan of [name]Daphne[/name] altho I think [name]Daffodil[/name] is adorable as a term of endearment (more so than official nickname).
  5. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] - combo feels off and also dont love [name]Bree[/name].

[name]Favorite[/name] to least favorite (I like them all):

  1. [name]Matilda[/name] [name]Jane[/name] (nn [name]Tilly[/name]/[name]Mattie[/name]) - I love this combo. I also love [name]Matilda[/name] paired up with something very feminine like [name]Rose[/name] or [name]Fleur[/name]. I like the nicknames [name]Tildy[/name] or [name]Tilly[/name] more than [name]Mattie[/name]. [name]Mattie[/name] almost sounds like the over popular [name]Maddy[/name].
  2. [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Anna[/name] (nn [name]Trixie[/name]) - I prefer [name]Beatrix[/name], but [name]Beatrice[/name] is also lovely. I don’t care for it with [name]Anna[/name] though because they seem to run together. I like: [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Eliana[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Jane[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Victoria[/name], [name]Beatrice[/name] [name]Delphine[/name]
  3. [name]Charlotte[/name] [name]Vivian[/name] (nn [name]Charlie[/name]) - Because [name]Charlotte[/name] is french, I would spell [name]Vivian[/name] as [name]Vivienne[/name].
  4. [name]Sabrina[/name] [name]Elizabeth[/name] (nn [name]Bree[/name]) - I prefer the nickname [name]Brin[/name]/[name]Brynn[/name]. [name]Bree[/name]/[name]Brie[/name] reminds me of cheese.
  5. [name]Daphne[/name] [name]Victoria[/name] (nn [name]Daffodil[/name]) - [name]Daphne[/name] is nice and sounds great with [name]Victoria[/name].
