We’ve narrowed down our boy names to 5, which seems like a big step. Please rank these. Middle name will be [name_u]James[/name_u] or [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m], possibly [name_m]John[/name_m] (all to honor a relative), and I’m not interested in using any of those as a first name. [name_m]Feel[/name_m] free to add whichever middle name you think sounds the best. Our last name sounds like Cree-Foil.
Fenwick (nn Fen) family name
[name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] (nn Ten or [name_m]Tenny[/name_m])
[name_m]Jolyon[/name_m] ([name_m]JOE[/name_m]-lee-un)
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Pen[/name_u] or possibly [name_m]Pip[/name_m])
[name_m]Everhart[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Hart[/name_m]) family name
Fenwick
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]
[name_m]Tennyson[/name_m]
[name_m]Everhart[/name_m] (would be higher but I’m not a huge fan of how it sounds with your last name)
[name_m]Jolyon[/name_m] - the only name I actually dislike
Fenwick, [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] and [name_m]Everhart[/name_m] are my favourites.
I think you should have three sons and use all 3 names! haha
I’m not sure I could pick a favourite of the three…
[name_m]Hart[/name_m] is my favourite nn, while Fenwick is my favourite full name and is a family name so…
Fenwick [name_u]James[/name_u] , [name_m]Everhart[/name_m] [name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] and [name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] [name_m]John[/name_m] all sound good to me!
My Order.
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]: Oh, this is an absolute favorite. [name_u]Pen[/name_u] is such a awesome nn.
[name_m]Tennyson[/name_m]: Gorgeous name.
[name_m]Everhart[/name_m]: I like it, and I like that you’re going to use [name_m]Hart[/name_m] as a nn.
Fenwick: Not my cup of tea.
[name_m]Jolyon[/name_m]: The same. It’s probably just out there for me. And won’t it be difficult to spell it correct? I wouldn’t have any idea, though.
Fenwick is my favorite.
[name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] seems more of a girl name to me because the only [name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] I have ever met is a girl.
[name_m]Jolyon[/name_m] seems to be a confusing name to pronounce. Also looks a lot like the girl name [name_f]Jocelyn[/name_f] (to me at least). I like the idea of [name_m]Joel[/name_m] better.
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] is too out there. It could work as a middle, but not a first.
[name_m]Everhart[/name_m] seems…cheesy and soap-opera-ish. It reminds me of this book series I read about warrior cats who kill each other. The main character’s name was Lionheart. It also seems too feminine to me. No. No no noo.
Stick with Fenwick. It’s strong and has almost a mystical medieval feel to it. And the nn Fen is great
[name_m]Everhart[/name_m] – romantic!
[name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] – eloquent
Fenwick – tolerable (I do like Fen)
[name_m]Jolyon[/name_m] – makes me think of a clown…what’s wrong w/[name_m]Joseph[/name_m], [name_m]Josiah[/name_m], [name_m]Joshua[/name_m]??
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m]–might set the kid up for a rough childhood, but [name_u]Perry[/name_u], [name_m]Pip[/name_m] or [name_u]Perrin[/name_u] are good nicknames.
Fenwick (nn Fen) family name – I like it, but saying it with your last name, it doesn’t have the best flow. Fen “Creefoil.” Fenwickreefoil.
[name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] (nn Ten or [name_m]Tenny[/name_m]) – I’m mediocre on this one. I like the way the full name sounds, but I don’t care for the nicknames.
[name_m]Jolyon[/name_m] ([name_m]JOE[/name_m]-lee-un) – If you’re gonna do this, go with [name_m]Julian[/name_m]. This name just looks like “Jolly-un.” No one will be able to pronounce it, ever.
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] (nn [name_u]Pen[/name_u] or possibly [name_m]Pip[/name_m]) – [name_f]Love[/name_f] the nn [name_u]Pen[/name_u]/[name_m]Penn[/name_m]. This is a very unique and interesting name. For some reason, I think [name_m]Penn[/name_m] Creefoil sounds a lot better than Fen Creefoil.
[name_m]Everhart[/name_m] (nn [name_m]Hart[/name_m]) family name – Really cool. The fact that it’s a family name gives it meaning, which I like. I just love the sound of [name_m]Hart[/name_m], [name_m]Hart[/name_m] Creefoil. I think I heart [name_m]Hart[/name_m]. I think [name_m]Everhart[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] sounds the best, but any of the three middle options would be good.
[name_m]Tennyson[/name_m] - I think this is manly and strong and poetic.
[name_m]Peregrine[/name_m] - [name_f]Love[/name_f] the sound and most people should be able to pronounce it as it’s a word name.
Fenwick - Not a huge fan as I think it would sound pretentious where I live, but if it works in your area AND is a family name I wouldn’t count it out.
[name_m]Everhart[/name_m] - I really like the sound but maybe not for a name. [name_f]Love[/name_f] the nn [name_m]Hart[/name_m] though!
[name_m]Jolyon[/name_m] - I actually like this but people would mess it up so badly I had to put in on the bottom.
Thanks, our last name doesn’t start with a C or K, I was just using that to get the vowel sounds (and protect my privacy), so the ending of Fenwick isn’t as bad.
