[name_u]Baby[/name_u] is due in [name_u]June[/name_u], we don’t know the gender yet, but we are more or less set on the boy name. Girl names, on the other hand, are much more difficult. Could I have some thoughts on the following? Big siblings are [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u].

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]/[name_f]Bee[/name_f]

Thanks!

Fave to least fave:

[name_f]Una[/name_f] - mysterious, delightful and sweet
[name_u]Hero[/name_u] - stunning and powerful
[name_f]Ida[/name_f] - beautiful and distinctive
[name_f]Bea[/name_f] - light and fresh
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] -more familiar but with a wise, underused feel
[name_f]Flo[/name_f] - bold, but funky
[name_f]Ines[/name_f] - interesting but i find it a little harsh
[name_m]Pip[/name_m] - I associate it too much with [name_m]Pip[/name_m] from great expectations to quite see it on a girl. It could grow on me though

[name_m]Pip[/name_m] (nickname)
[name_f]Flo[/name_f] (nickname)

I’m sure you’ve already considered it and ruled it out, but just in case I think [name_f]Flora[/name_f] seems very your style.

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

[name_u]Jem[/name_u] & [name_u]Lou[/name_u] are cute!

Here are my thoughts on #3:

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]/[name_f]Bee[/name_f]-Aw, I like this a lot. I prefer [name_f]Bea[/name_f]. It seems more vintagey like [name_u]Jem[/name_u] & [name_u]Lou[/name_u]. [name_f]Bee[/name_f] seems a little more hippish.

[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]-Cute name, but kind of trendy & modern next to the old fashioned named siblings. Super over done too.

[name_f]Una[/name_f]-This seems in a different world than the others, but it’s okay. Not too exciting.

[name_f]Flo[/name_f]-I don’t know…reminds me of ‘Aunt [name_f]Flo[/name_f]’.

[name_f]Ines[/name_f]-This is okay. I don’t love it, but it’s fine. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not super pretty sounding in my opinion.

[name_u]Hero[/name_u]-This is quite a big name to put on a kid, in my opinion.

[name_f]Ida[/name_f]-I like this w/[name_u]Jem[/name_u] & [name_u]Lou[/name_u] a lot. Very cute.

[name_m]Pip[/name_m]-Hm. I’m torn. I adore this for a boy, but hard to picture on an adult for either gender. Kind of cute on a little girl. [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] or [name_f]Philippa[/name_f] would nn [name_m]Pip[/name_m] would be sweet, but that doesn’t seem to be your style.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]/[name_f]Bee[/name_f]- my favourite with your other kids!
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]- cute but popular
una - I don’t like how similar it sounds to [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_f]Flo[/name_f] - it’s okay
[name_f]Ines[/name_f] - I adore [name_f]Ines[/name_f], but not sure it fits the best with your other kids names
[name_u]Hero[/name_u] - not my style
[name_f]Ida[/name_f] - it’s okay but much prefer ada
[name_m]Pip[/name_m] - I see this as more of a boys name

You have such cute options! My favourite is [name_f]Bea[/name_f]! But I don’t think you could go wrong with any of them!

Least favorite to favorite

[name_u]Hero[/name_u]: this just isn’t for me and doesn’t quite fit with [name_u]Lou[/name_u] and [name_u]Jem[/name_u]

[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]: too much of a mainstream name next to [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u], plus it’s not my style

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]/[name_f]Bee[/name_f]: OK so this is more my style and works well with your other children so I can see why it’s a favorite. For some reason it doesn’t shine for me. I do agree [name_f]Bea[/name_f] looks more vintage

[name_f]Una[/name_f]: I like it, just much prefer [name_f]Uma[/name_f]

[name_f]Ida[/name_f]: getting closer.

[name_f]Ines[/name_f]: yes it’s a full name, but very underused and full of vintage charm. It’s a family name for me so it moves it up the chart

[name_f]Flo[/name_f]: I love this and it works beautifully with [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u]. Would be my choice until you threw…

[name_m]Pip[/name_m]-into the mix. Yes it is strongly linked to ‘great expectations’ but we have pippa pig and [name_f]Pippa[/name_f] Middleton… So why not just [name_m]Pip[/name_m] on a little girl? I actually like the gender ambiguity of [name_m]Pip[/name_m]. I wasn’t completely sure the genders of [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] until I the middle names.

[name_u]Love[/name_u] your style! My personal favourites are [name_u]Hero[/name_u], [name_f]Ines[/name_f] and [name_m]Pip[/name_m], but this is my ranking with sibling names taken into account. I think cute, quirky, familiar yet rare nickname names work best.

[name_u]Jem[/name_u], [name_u]Lou[/name_u] and…

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]/[name_f]Bee[/name_f]
[name_m]Pip[/name_m]
[name_f]Ida[/name_f]
[name_f]Una[/name_f]
[name_f]Flo[/name_f]
[name_u]Hero[/name_u]
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]

I think super sweet and lively [name_f]Bea[/name_f]/[name_f]Bee[/name_f] and [name_m]Pip[/name_m] are especially perfect with [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u]; [name_f]Ida[/name_f], [name_f]Una[/name_f] and [name_f]Flo[/name_f] are a bit more serious but they also fit and flow really well; [name_u]Hero[/name_u] and [name_f]Ines[/name_f] feel a bit more “out there” or “foreign” than your children’s names, and [name_f]Zoe[/name_f] is a great name but feels a bit too mainstream to me.

favorite to least

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] this, its sweet and fun and goes well with her siblings.
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]- Quirky and short
[name_f]Una[/name_f]- While I don’t personally like this name, I think it fits your style
[name_f]Ida[/name_f]- Goes really well with your other children
[name_f]Flo[/name_f]- again, quirky and short
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]- while I love this name, to me it doesn’t fit with your other kids.
[name_u]Hero[/name_u]- again, I don’t feel like it has the same vibe as your other names
[name_m]Pip[/name_m]- too me this name is masculine and too much of a nickname

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]/[name_f]Bee[/name_f]
[name_u]Hero[/name_u]
[name_f]Flo[/name_f]
[name_m]Pip[/name_m]
[name_f]Una[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Ida[/name_f]
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]

[name_u]Jem[/name_u], [name_u]Lou[/name_u], and… (favorite to least favorite)

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]/[name_f]Bee[/name_f]
[name_u]Hero[/name_u]
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]
[name_f]Flo[/name_f]
[name_f]Una[/name_f]
[name_f]Ida[/name_f]
[name_m]Pip[/name_m]

Bea and Pip would be my first choices with Jem and Lou. They just look and sound perfect with them in my opinion. After these I’d pick Flo, Zoe or Ines.

Also, I agree with the previous poster who said you might like Flora. I think Flora nickname Flo would be perfect. I also feel like Liv, Nell, Juno or June would be great with your other kids’ names.

Good luck with your decision!

I’ve ranked fav to least with [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] in mind

[name_f]Bea[/name_f]
[name_f]Una[/name_f] - I prefer 1 syllable names with [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u] but [name_f]Una[/name_f] is the exception! Perfect match stylistically
[name_f]Flo[/name_f]
[name_m]Pip[/name_m]
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f] - I like but seems more mainstream and full name than [name_u]Jem[/name_u] and [name_u]Lou[/name_u]
[name_f]Ida[/name_f] - old lady next to sibs
[name_u]Hero[/name_u]

All the best

I love your style. This is my order from favourite to least with your other kids. [name_m]Pip[/name_m] is my favourite of the list anyway. [name_m]Pippin[/name_m] is another option that would work well (and I love it).

[name_m]Pip[/name_m]
[name_f]Bea[/name_f]
[name_f]Ida[/name_f]
[name_u]Hero[/name_u]
[name_f]Flo[/name_f]
[name_f]Ines[/name_f]
[name_f]Una[/name_f]
[name_f]Zoe[/name_f]

Ines
Bea (for Bee – see Pip)
Una

      • The above three are my favourites, and the three I think would work best with Jem & Lou.
        Zoe
Pip (doesn’t feel ‘complete’ enough to make a good full name to me, but makes a great nickname)
        Hero
        Ida
        Flo (see Pip)

My favourites are definitely Ines & Bea for you…stylistically, and to include the single-syllable, three-letters ‘theme’ Jem, Lou & Bea make a great set, but I like the slightly quirky ‘going-against-the-grain-yet-still-meshing-really-well’ set of Jem, Lou & Ines. Una, while nice individually, feels like it might be a little awkward-repetitive when trying to say Lou & Una together.
