Rosalie - I LOVE [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] it’s definitely the best [name_f]Rose[/name_f] variation
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - it’s sweet and pretty, but majorly gaining popularity right now
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] - I think this name is definitely underrated
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - refreshing as a first because it’s so commonly used for a middle
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f]
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] - I prefer [name_u]Kaya[/name_u]
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]
[name_u]Arden[/name_u] - I definitely prefer [name_f]Arwen[/name_f]

Arden - 1/10 Personally despise any name that ends with -den similar to my distaste with any name that ends with -[name_u]Leigh[/name_u] :face_with_head_bandage:

Delilah - 4/10 While I can see the appeal to the name I do think it’s not yet ready for a revival and prefer it as a middle name since for me it’s to grandma-ish and don’t see it on a baby

Elowen - 6/10 I prefer [name_f]Elodie[/name_f] as opposed to [name_f]Elowen[/name_f], but [name_f]Elowen[/name_f] as opposed to [name_u]Rowen[/name_u] :joy: it’s a beautiful name not very common I say go for it

Esther - 8/10 I LOVE THIS NAME! While it fits under “grandma names” I think this is a name that I wouldn’t mind reviving, goes well as a middle name, would rank higher but I had a bunny named [name_f]Esther[/name_f] (a pun on [name_f]Easter[/name_f]) so for me it’s unusable!

Kaia - 2/10 I can see the appeal but personally don’t like it! I prefer [name_u]Kai[/name_u] over it as I think the A is unneeded

Lilia - 4/10 Not my favorite name can’t say for sure! But I feel there’s much better [name_f]Lil[/name_f]- names! The classically [name_f]Lily[/name_f] is a name you can never go wrong with!

Lilith - 6/10 I think it’s cute! I prefer this over the more modern [name_f]Lilia[/name_f]! You can never go wrong with a classic!

Naomi - 5/10 I met so many [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]’s throughout my life and have been in classes were there’s multiple! However I can see the appeal to the name and wouldn’t mind naming my daughter it either :joy: it’s just a classics and appealing name and you can never go wrong with a baby girl named [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]!

Rosalie - 9/10 love any [name_f]Rose[/name_f] name! Consider me basic but I just adore how feminine [name_f]Rose[/name_f] can make a name! While I prefer [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f]! I also love [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]!

Rose - 4/10 I think it’s a simple name but my distaste for the name comes from how common it is as a middle name :joy: it’s so refreshing to meet a [name_f]Rose[/name_f] first name rather than a [name_f]Victoria[/name_f] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] or [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f]

Ziva- 1/10 I think the name is beautiful but given my accent I can’t pronounce it properly or have to sound it out before saying it! Sounds a lot like [name_f]Diva[/name_f] or [name_f]Silva[/name_f]! I think it’s unique since I never heard of it!

Such beautiful names! This is going to be hard for me to rank!

Okay, here I go (in order from favorite to least)…

  • Rosalie: I always go back and forth on whether I like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] or [name_f]Rose[/name_f] more, but today is definitely a [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] day. It’s so pretty and feminine, I love its [name_u]French[/name_u] origins, and “[name_f]Rose[/name_f]” is a wonderful built-in nickname option.
  • Lilith: I love how this name sounds, it’s deep cultural origins (although the connotations might be less positive to some people), and that it can have the nickname [name_f]Lily[/name_f] (which can make it much sweeter if desired).
  • Esther: This name also has a long history in the world, which I love! But it doesn’t sound exclusively Biblical. It also has vintage vibes. I think of [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_m]Smith[/name_m] from Meet Me in St. [name_m]Louis[/name_m], but there are obviously plenty of other Esthers out there, in addition to the Biblical one.
  • Rose: Despite my love for [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], I’ve never understood why more people don’t use [name_f]Rose[/name_f] by itself as a first name. Although it now ranks number 115th most popular girls’ name in the U.S., that’s only 2,507 babies in the whole country, and I’ve never met anyone with this first name (but tons of people with it as a middle). Which is perfect, because it is not too common, but everyone will know how to spell and pronounce it.
  • Lilia: This is very pretty! It sounds a bit more international than [name_f]Lilith[/name_f], which could be nice. I will say that I am not 100% how you would want this pronounced, and other people may struggle with that as well. I first thought LEEL-ya, but I could also see it being pronounced as LILY-uh, LILY-ya, or LEELY-ah.
  • Elowen: So beautiful and mysterious sounding! I also love the nickname [name_f]Winnie[/name_f] for it. I like that its not in the top 1000 in the U.S. but still heard of.
  • Ziva: This one is pretty! I’m not super familiar with this one, but I like how it sounds. It is short and spunky!
  • Delilah: [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] is pretty. It is a bit fairy-like and romantic. I think the reason why I didn’t rank it quite as high as some others is it does seem a bit trendy now. It went from being mostly in the top 800 to 900 girls names to breaking into the 100s in 2008, and now its 88.
  • Naomi: I used to like this name more than I do now. It has pretty sounds and is a nice classic Hebrew name, but I think I have veered away from it personally because it doesn’t fit as well with other names that I like. It feels a little more exotic to me than vintage (which is where most of my names lie). I know one very young [name_f]Naomi[/name_f], but I also know several middle-aged Naomis, and I think I often associate this name more with the middle-aged ones in my mind. But [name_f]Naomi[/name_f] is used on every age, so definitely not everyone would have this association.
  • Kaia: This name sounds pretty! I personally don’t love names that start with a “K” though. This one also feels more modern than the others. It only got into the top 1000 names in 2000, and now its been rising steadily.
  • Arden: I like how this name also sounds a bit fairy-like. But it also isn’t quite feminine enough for my taste.

Arden - 6/10. I like it but I don’t love it.
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] - 7/10. Beautiful name, bad associations.
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] - 5/10. [name_m]Just[/name_m] not my style
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] - 7/10. It’s a little outdated though
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] - 9/10. [name_u]Love[/name_u] this!
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] - 8/10.
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] - 2/10. Hate this
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f] - 8/10. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] meaning
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - 8/10. Very elegant and pretty
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - 7/10. A classic - but doesn’t make much of a statement.

Arden- 9/10, I love the strength and distinct sound
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f]- 5/10, not my style, it just reminds me of all the “I’m not like other girls” characters named [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] that I saw in every fanfic in middle school
[name_f]Elowen[/name_f]- 9/10, gorgeous and uncommon
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]- 3/10, I’m not a fan of the sound and it feels stuffy to me
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f]- 10/10, so sweet!
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f]- 8/10, I love this because it feels flowy and spunky
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f]- 9/10, one of my faves. The story is a plus imo
[name_f]Naomi[/name_f]- 6/10, I’ve always liked the sound but it doesn’t wow me like some of the other names here
[name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]- 6/10, same as [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Rose[/name_f]- 5/10, I love to see this out of the middle but same as [name_f]Naomi[/name_f]
[name_f]Ziva[/name_f]- 9/10, spunky and feminine. I love the sass here!

[name_f]Elowen[/name_f] 2/10 - I know this is a [name_u]Berry[/name_u] favourite, but I just can’t get behind it. Nothing wrong with it, just a personal preference.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] 7.5/10 - so pretty! I don’t know why, but it just has such a sultry vibe and understated elegance to me.
[name_f]Kaia[/name_f] 7/10 - very fun! Great name!
[name_f]Lilia[/name_f] 6/10 - it’s nice :slight_smile: I want to like it more than I do, but it’s pretty.
[name_f]Lilith[/name_f] 2/10 - not for me, but nothing wrong with it. [name_u]Love[/name_u] the character from Cheers & [name_m]Frasier[/name_m]!
