Carla - 7/10 - I don’t see it making an immediate comeback, but I personally find it pretty timeless and not all that dated.
Cynthia - 7/10 - I can see it making a comeback, maybe as a middle name first but eventually to the first spot. I think as 60s babies get older, people will start using the names as honors more often.
Denise - 4/10 - Maybe it’s because I’m personally not a big fan, but I don’t see [name_f]Denise[/name_f] making a comeback. It feels quite heavy and less elegant than the other names, plus the nickname options are less current.
Jacqueline - 10/10 - I didn’t even realize this was out of fashion! It seems totally timeless to me.
Suzanne - 6/10 - I see other similar names (like [name_f]Susan[/name_f] or [name_f]Susannah[/name_f]) being more popular, but I can eventually see it coming back. [name_f]Suzie[/name_f]/Suzy is cute.
I think the most likely to make a comeback are [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] and [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f]. Least likely is probably [name_f]Denise[/name_f]. I think there are alternatives to [name_f]Carla[/name_f] like [name_f]Carly[/name_f], [name_f]Carrie[/name_f], [name_u]Carlin[/name_u], [name_f]Carolyn[/name_f] that people would gravitate towards more than [name_f]Carla[/name_f], and [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] could be [name_f]Susie[/name_f], which I think could make a huge comeback.
I think [name_f]Carla[/name_f] & [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] are ready (or close to ready) for a comeback! I wouldn’t mind the others staying in the past for a while
(I think Carla & Jacqueline really tie for first; I just like Carla better so I ranked it first.)
Overall:
[name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] 8/10 - I’ve seen this name used a bit recently as a middle and I’ve seen variations on name berry, so I think it is likely for a comeback.
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] 7/10 - I feel like most feminizations always bounce back at some point! Especially with the -one ending, and because of less feminine nicknames [name_m]Jack[/name_m]/ [name_u]Jackie[/name_u].
[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] 6/10 - I don’t hear it much, but it kind of sounds like [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] and [name_f]Lydia[/name_f] so I could see it making a comeback.
[name_f]Denise[/name_f] 5/10 - Pretty nice name, but I feel like it just doesn’t get much love anymore and others consider it dated.
[name_f]Carla[/name_f] 3/10 - Similar to [name_m]Carl[/name_m], I just don’t see it being a popular name in the future but more used as an honor name.
If I were to choose, I would definitely bring back [name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] and [name_f]Denise[/name_f]!
Jacqueline seems to me like it should have never gone out of style, even if it did! Timeless.
Suzanne is very pretty and elegant, in my opinion. It should come back!
Cynthia is next up. I think it has a lot of potential. It’s an older name, too.
Carla and [name_f]Denise[/name_f] are both ones I don’t love, but [name_f]Carla[/name_f] could definitely come back while [name_f]Denise[/name_f] is … not my favorite. It has an ugly feel to it. But yeah.
Carla - 50%. I think this name could go either way. People are loving [name_f]Clara[/name_f] lately. [name_f]Clara[/name_f] took a dip in the 1980s but is spiking again in the 2000s. [name_f]Carla[/name_f], however, is steadily falling off the charts after being popular in the 80s, so kind of the opposite. People may start to see [name_f]Carla[/name_f] as an unexpected alternative to [name_f]Clara[/name_f]. I’m fairly neutral on this name. I don’t mind if it gets popular again or not.
Cynthia - 35%. Slightly less than [name_f]Carla[/name_f]. Again, fairly neutral on this. It’s steadily falling off the charts but I could see it becoming a more common choice in a few decades.
Denise - 15%. I really don’t see this one coming back, although who knows! Dropped VERY sharply in the 2010s. Very much a “fast fashion” name in the 1980s. Not a bad name at all, but it really was one of those names that went out just as fast as it came in.
Jacqueline - 65%. I definitely think this one could come back! It’s elegant, timeless, and pretty, still sitting in the US top 400.
Suzanne - 50%. See [name_f]Carla[/name_f]. I feel the same way about this name. I think people will start to love the name [name_f]Suzie[/name_f] and the overall versatility of this name.

Most to least.
-Carla -7 -could make a comeback considering its similarity to [name_f]Clara[/name_f]
-Cynthia -8 -can definitely see this making a comeback alongside things like [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f] and [name_f]Thea[/name_f]
-Denise -4 - feels quite dated and unappealing
-Jacqueline - 8 -I think this could make a comeback alongside [name_f]Josephine[/name_f] and [name_f]Francesca[/name_f]. It’s feminine with a cool unisex nickname
-Suzanne -8 -I could see this coming back. That appealing z and the sunny feel sells it to me though I think [name_f]Susannah[/name_f] may be more popular
Carla - 8/10 with its Spanish roots, this is actually still being used, I know a few young girls with this name and [name_f]Carlie[/name_f] is a lovely nn, or [name_f]Arla[/name_f], given arlo is so popular.
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] - 6/10 I think [name_m]Jac[/name_m] has potential for people wanting gender neutral or strong sounding female names
[name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] - 7/10 I think [name_f]Sue[/name_f] and [name_f]Suzie[/name_f] have great potential alongside [name_f]Sylvie[/name_f] etc.
[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] - 5/10 the [name_f]Thea[/name_f] element may prove helpful for this one
[name_f]Denise[/name_f] - 3/10 I’m not sure about this one
Carla- 5/10
Cynthia- 10/10
Denise- 3/10
Jacqueline- 6/10
Suzanne- 8/10
[name_f]Carla[/name_f] - Hmm… this one seems more like a mom name so it might have to wait a little while. 3/10
[name_f]Cynthia[/name_f] - I think this one’s ready! It’s a very pretty name that I think is pretty usable. 8.5/10
[name_f]Denise[/name_f] - This one might never come back… I’m not sure, it sounds too much like “the niece” to me. 2/10
[name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f] - This one is still a bit dated to me, but it is long and elegant, which gives it potential. 5/10
[name_f]Suzanne[/name_f] - This one might have to wait a bit longer, I know a few moms named [name_f]Suzanne[/name_f]. 3/10
I think they will all come back in their time apart from [name_f]Denise[/name_f].
My nearly 12 year old daughter’s middle name is [name_f]Jacqueline[/name_f], so I may be biased
Suzanne — 8/10 (I know several in the new generation)
Carla — 5/10
Denise — 2/10
Jaqueline — 6/10
Cynthia — 1/10
