hey! here are some boy names I’m considering, I’m looking for further input! feel free to rank them (could be out of 10 or just favourite to least favourite)
thanks!
[name_u]August[/name_u] - 10/10 I also adore [name_u]Gus[/name_u] as a nickname!
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u] - 8/10 Great name, though I prefer it for a girl.
[name_u]Rhett[/name_u] - 7/10 Bouncy and nice.
[name_u]Macen[/name_u] - 5/10 How do you pronounce this one? Same way as [name_u]Mason[/name_u]? (If this is the right pronunciation, I’d rank [name_u]Macen[/name_u] lower as I strongly prefer the [name_u]Mason[/name_u] spelling—less confusing and more streamlined.) More like Mack-en?
[name_u]Saige[/name_u] - 2/10 I’d (slightly) prefer the [name_u]Sage[/name_u] spelling for a boy.
[name_u]Cayce[/name_u] - 1/10 I’d (slightly) prefer the [name_m]Case[/name_m] spelling.
August- 10/10, so handsome.
Shiloh- 7/10 for a boy, I prefer Shiloh for a girl but I do like the softness of this name for a boy.
Cayce- 4/10, I’m unsure if this is supposed to be pronounced like Case or Casey.
Macen- 4/10, I’m personally not a fan of this spelling.
Rhett- 5/10
Saige- 7/10, I prefer the Sage spelling personally.
Ranked from favorite to least favorite:
[name_u]August[/name_u] (love this name!)
[name_u]Saige[/name_u]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_u]Macen[/name_u]
[name_u]Cayce[/name_u]
[name_u]Rhett[/name_u]
Favourite to least going by sounds ~
[name_u]Saige[/name_u]
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_u]Macen[/name_u]
[name_u]Cayce[/name_u]
[name_u]Rhett[/name_u]
Shiloh-I am head over heels for [name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]. It’s so beautiful & calm and lovable. I adore the way it looks and sounds. It reminds me of nature, & a kind person. It’s fairly easy & well known, but not at all popular.
August-I love this one too. It’s strong & handsome & outdoorsy. But also feels gentle & like a deep soul. It’s a bit more common, but not too much. It also has cute nns of [name_u]Ace[/name_u], [name_u]Augie[/name_u] or [name_u]Gus[/name_u].
Rhett-I don’t mind it. I like it more in theory than saying it out loud. It feels literary & dapper. Maybe just a little abrupt sounding.
Saige-I think I’d just stick with the [name_u]Sage[/name_u] spelling, since that’s how the word is spelled. This one is tricky, because it almost feels too bland for a girl but too feminine for a boy. I like it as a middle name more.
Cayce-See above. Why not just [name_m]Case[/name_m]? Either way, I’m not a huge fan. Which is weird, since I adore the name [name_u]Casey[/name_u]. Would prefer that nn [name_m]Case[/name_m] if anything. Cayce/Case sounds sort of trendy.
Macen-This spelling is just really awkward. [name_u]Mason[/name_u] or [name_u]Macen[/name_u] both feel really trendy & over done. They don’t excite me.
Fave to least fave:
[name_u]Saige[/name_u] (though, like others, I think I prefer [name_u]Sage[/name_u] spelling)
[name_u]August[/name_u]
[name_u]Shiloh[/name_u]
[name_u]Rhett[/name_u]
[name_u]Cayce[/name_u]
[name_u]Macen[/name_u]
