[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Deirdre[/name_f] (The story behind it is sad, but beautiful. I don’t mind it.)
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] (No one seems to like it, but it sounds so strong and sophisticated to me.)
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]

[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]* (though I prefer [name_u]Vivian[/name_u])
My top 5, in order from favorite to least favorite, are [name_f]Madeline[/name_f] (although I slightly prefer [name_f]Madeleine[/name_f]), [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f], [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f], and [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f].
Top (in no particular order):
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]
[name_f]Celia[/name_f]
[name_f]Edith[/name_f] - All of the above names are Nameberry favorites, but when you talk to people who aren’t obsessed with names, they often have no idea that they’re seeing an upswing. No matter how popular they get, these names are sure to retain a classic, old-fashioned feel. Cute on a baby, but lovely on an adult.
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f] - The nicknames alone! I love how the two g’s sound.
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] - why hasn’t there been a [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] revival? It’s a solid, dignified name with the bonus of really cute nicknames.
[name_f]Deirdre[/name_f] - something about [name_f]Deirdre[/name_f] is so full and deep and mysterious, yet it still feels appropriate and cute on a little girl, too.
[name_f]Cora[/name_f] - just plain sweet. There are so many great middles for [name_f]Cora[/name_f], too.
Bottom:
[name_f]Alexia[/name_f] - the name of a reading disorder. I know the name has separate roots from the word/disorder, but to me a- (meaning lack of) and -lexia (words) is front and center.
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f] - a beautiful classic name, but for some reason has always felt soap opera-y to me.
[name_f]Galatea[/name_f] - another name where the fault is in my personal associations - all I hear is “cookie” because of the resemblance to galleta.
[name_f]Catriona[/name_f] - you’ll notice all of my least-favs aren’t names that I think are bad at all, just ones with negative personal associations. I know a family with a [name_f]Catriona[/name_f] and they pronounce it wrong. Drives me BATTY. Pretty name though, and one I’ve considered myself to honor the many Katherines in my family.
Names that wouldn’t make me excited to see, but that I think are nice:
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - The appeal of [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], for me, is in the nicknames. [name_f]Liz[/name_f]/[name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] are boring to me, but [name_f]Bess[/name_f] and [name_f]Betsy[/name_f] and [name_f]Eliza[/name_f] are great!
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f] - Gorgeous! [name_m]Just[/name_m] a little overdone where I live.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - growing up, I always named my dolls [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], [name_f]Lydia[/name_f], and [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]. Cut to 20 years later… [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] doesn’t feel as “special” as it used to, but it’s still a beautiful, strong name.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] - [name_f]Lovely[/name_f], it just feels a little trendy. BUT: It’s uncommon enough that most people will not think so - it’s still a pleasant surprise to your general population.
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorena[/name_f] - This is on the borderline of making my favorite list. I love how it sounds when you say it out loud. I also like Lorina nn [name_f]Ina[/name_f].
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] - it’s a beautiful name if it’s pronounced -line instead of -lynn, the only drawback is popularity and blending in with all of the little Madisons out there. A non-[name_f]Maddie[/name_f] nickname, or going by the whole name, feels a lot more fresh.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]
TOP TEN (in no particular order):

[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]
[name_f]Lorena[/name_f]
Runner up:
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] - if this were [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], she’d be in.
My two current faves that are on your list are [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] and [name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]. [name_m]Both[/name_m] so lovely and romantic.

**= I like this name
***= loving it
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f] : So [name_m]French[/name_m]! (Not a bad thing) I prefer this spelling over [name_u]Vivian[/name_u].
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] “[name_f]Nellie[/name_f]” : I like how you can get [name_f]Nellie[/name_f], [name_f]Ellen[/name_f], and [name_f]Nora[/name_f] from this. Although I’m slightly biased because my name is [name_f]Nora[/name_f]!
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f] : Ooh la la
10 [name_f]Ivy[/name_f] : Exotic
[name_f]Alice[/name_f]- love [name_f]Alice[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f]- I really like [name_f]Madeline[/name_f], if only it wasn’t so popular.
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]- [name_f]Cora[/name_f] is simple and sweet and elegant. [name_f]Lovely[/name_f] choice.
[name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]- I love all the nickname options with [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f] and it sounds so mature.
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]- I’m biased on this one, it is my dog’s name, so I love it.
[name_f]Audrey[/name_f]- So classy
[name_f]Georgiana[/name_f]- Classic and unexpected, I really like it.
[name_f]Celia[/name_f]- I love the sound of [name_f]Celia[/name_f], but prefer [name_f]Cecilia[/name_f]
[name_f]Bianca[/name_f]- I love the sound of it. It isn’t my favorite, but I really like it.
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f]- truly, [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_u]Green[/name_u] made me like this one (in The Fault in Our Stars). I don’t love it, it is just okay. It is growing on me.
[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]- I like it, love the nn [name_f]Miri[/name_f], but for me it isn’t wow. It is pretty, but IDK something about it is off for me.
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]- It is pretty, it just isn’t my style.
[name_f]Catriona[/name_f]- Pronounced like [name_f]Katrina[/name_f] correct? The spelling/pronunciation throws me off.
[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]- it is nice, but I’ve always found [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] quite boring. I like all the nn options for it, but that’s it.
[name_f]Galatea[/name_f]- This is cool, and I think I’d like it more if I actually met one, but it seems a bit out there.
[name_f]Vivienne[/name_f]- I’m just not fond of this one. It is okay, but for me it is a mix of trend and old lady that just doesn’t work for me.
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f]- [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] seems rather old to me. I really like the nn [name_f]Hattie[/name_f], and it has grown on me.
[name_f]Alexia[/name_f]- this one just seems so 90s to me. I know a lot of [name_u]Alex[/name_u]- kids, including some [name_f]Alexias[/name_f].
[name_f]Ivy[/name_f]- I just have never liked [name_f]Ivy[/name_f]. It reminds me of the American Girl doll too. IDK I just don’t like the sound or look of it, it doesn’t seem like a name to me.
[name_f]Lorena[/name_f] “[name_f]Ena[/name_f]”- this one just seems dated to me. I’m sure it could work, but I’m not loving it.
[name_f]Edith[/name_f]- this one sounds old to me too. I’m liking it a bit better after watching Downton [name_u]Abbey[/name_u], but I still think it sounds rather old.
[name_f]Deirdre[/name_f]- I don’t like the look or sound of [name_f]Deirdre[/name_f]. Sounds harsh to me.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f]- sounds old to me. I guess it will come back, but not yet.
[name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]- I’ve never liked [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. It is one of those names I always have and always will dislike. [name_m]Even[/name_m] after loving the book Divergent, I can’t like [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f]. When I opened it and found out the main character’s name was [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f], I cringed and was very disappointed (she went by [name_u]Tris[/name_u] almost the whole book though so it was okay, and she made up for it with the other character named [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]). There is nothing really wrong with it, I just can’t stand it. It just sounds harsh to me. I slightly prefer [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f], but I dislike [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] too. I would much prefer [name_f]Bellatrix[/name_f].
Top 10 favourite (in no real order):

[name_f]Miranda[/name_f]

[name_f]Lorena[/name_f]
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] (if you pronounce it mad-e-LEHN)
[name_f]Cora[/name_f]
[name_f]Charlotte[/name_f]
[name_f]Galatea[/name_f]
