My favorite is [name_f]Iris[/name_f]! I love how nature-y and whimsical it is. Least favorite is maybe [name_f]Flora[/name_f] or [name_f]Saoirse[/name_f]. [name_f]Flora[/name_f] sounds too much like floor to me, and saoirse is a little hard for most people to spell and pronounce. Others I’m indifferent to.

Thank you!

Flora is my favorite

My favorites…

Flora
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f]
[name_f]Tova[/name_f]
[name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]
[name_f]Marisol[/name_f]

Avia 3/10 - it’s fine, but I’m not really understanding your pronunciation? Having the emphasis on the last syllable isn’t making sense to me. I would pronounce it as AH-vee-uh or uh-VEE-uh (AH as in sauce).
[name_f]Tova[/name_f] 3.5/10 - also okay. I prefer the [name_f]Tove[/name_f] spelling, but even then it’s not my favourite.
[name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] 5/10 - I want to like this name so much more than I do, but there’s something about it I just don’t love.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] 5/10 - I used to love this name! It’s okay to me now, but I don’t love it like I used to.
[name_f]Marisol[/name_f] 5/10 - same as [name_f]Flora[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] 2/10 - just doesn’t click for me.
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] 7/10 - very pretty!
[name_f]Dalia[/name_f] 2/10 - not loving this spelling, honestly. I much prefer the [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] spelling (pronounced doll-ee-uh)
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] 6.5/10 - nice name! Another one I want to like more than I do. All I hear when I say it out loud is papi

Thank’s for your feedback! The emphasis is on the last syllable in the name [name_f]Avia[/name_f] because it’s actually a Hebrew name, and they emphasize things differently. The [name_f]Dalia[/name_f] spelling is also after a Hebrew word, not the flower. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is my favorite too!

Sapphire - This is cool! Not my style though, and I think there are much more usable names on your list.

Avia - [name_m]How[/name_m] interesting! I’ve never heard of this name before, only [name_f]Ava[/name_f]. [name_f]Avia[/name_f] is pretty! Reminds me a little of aviation, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing.

Tova - Once again, how interesting! This is gorgeous and very unusual, at least where I’m from. One of the highlights of your list imo.

Saoirse - This is probably my least favourite on your list. For some reason, no matter how many times I see the pronunciation written out for me, I always blank and stumble on how to pronounce it!

Flora - [name_u]Light[/name_u] and sweet, I love it! I’ll suggest [name_f]Florence[/name_f] for you as well, though it might be a bit vintage for your taste.

Marisol - Another highlight! So elegant, and will age so well. I’ll suggest [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], which personally, I do prefer to [name_f]Marisol[/name_f].

Rosalia - Beautiful name, but I do prefer [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] - it seems a little less ‘frilly.’

Iris - This is vintage and sweet! A little too vintage for my personal taste, but definitely usable.

Dalia - I do like it, but at first I thought you’d just misspelled [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]! [name_f]Dalia[/name_f] does seem like a fresher version of [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f], but I think my familiarity with [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] means I like the [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] spelling a little more.

Poppy - Another highlight- so bright and fun! Could work as a nickname for [name_f]Penelope[/name_f] too.

Sapphire- 5/10 I really like the sound, and the imagery connected to it; I just can’t drop the feeling of the good ol’ “stripper” vibes it gives. I think it could totally work though. And Sapphy is a super cute nickname

Avia- 2/10 that pronunciation AY-vee-uh 7/10 So I don’t think that it’d ever ever get said properly which is frustrating I know, and in general I don’t like the emphasis on the last syllable.

Tova- 7/10 Interesting, cute and straight forward

Saoirse- 8.5/10 Just simply gorgeous. I feel like this is such “namer” name y’know. Us folx who love names tend to love this one a lot. I feel like although most people still won’t get this one right, thanks to Saoirse Ronin a lot more than before will, so

Flora- 5/10 This one has grown on me in the last little while. I used to be super against “old lady” names, but this category has honestly stolen my heart and I constantly search up the SSA lists from 1940 and before. It has such a cute charm to it

Marisol- 2/10 I love Spanish origin names, my babies will be half Mexican so I love when it has those roots. However, Marisol always makes me think of a cleaning product. I think because in English it’s so closely sounds like aerosol ? I’m not sure!

Rosalia- 2/10 I just have never and probably will never favor Rose names. Just can’t jump on that bandwagon

Iris- 2/10 Not sure why I’ve never liked this one. Certainly nothing inherently wrong with it, just never was a fan. I love that it means rainbow (in Spanish arcoíris mean rainbow) but I just don’t vibe with this one

Dalia- 7.5/10 I love this one. It’s one of my favorite flowers. I often play around with this one in the middle spot

Poppy- 6/10 Cute, spunky. Makes me think of a British person hahaha

  1. Dalia-It sounds soft and is sweet with that lia sound on the end.
2.Rosalia-Again,I like the Lia sound on the end and that it’s not popular but it’s a bit old-fashioned for my liking.
3.Iris-I can’t help but think of an eye.
  2. Poppy-I don’t like the three Ps and it sounds like parpy in some languages.
5.Marisol-It sounds like shampoo or skin cream although it would sound good in a spanish accent.
6.Flora-I like the sound and meaning but I wouldn’t call my child it.
7.Saoirse-I like it, just hard to pronounce or spell.
8.Tova-Never heard of this before but no, not big fan of it
    9.Avia- sounds like aviva
10.Sapphire-I like this one not popular but people might mistake this for sophia

Although,if you like them go for it

Sapphire - 5/10 it’s a nice name but not my style of first name. Would work for a middle for me!
[name_f]Avia[/name_f] - 8/10 love the sound of it! Such a nice alternative to [name_f]Ava[/name_f]!
[name_f]Tova[/name_f] - 8/10 such a lovely name, very unique & interesting! Works for boys & girls imo
Saorise - 6/10 nice name, but the spelling is just weird to me
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] - 7/10 nice, flowery, short.
[name_f]Marisol[/name_f] - 6/10 prefer this to [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]
[name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] - 5/10 not sure. Definitely prefer [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f].
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - 5/10 lovely and magical, but never a great fav of mine.
[name_f]Dalia[/name_f] - 5/10 prefer [name_f]Delia[/name_f]. Or maybe [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f]. But it sounds nice
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] - 3/10 has never been my taste. Too flowery, if that’s understandable. But it’s a matter of opinion.

Sapphire - 3/10 I like it in theory but in real life, I feel like this name would be difficult to wear. Maybe [name_f]Seraphine[/name_f] or [name_f]Seraphina[/name_f], with the nn [name_f]Sapphire[/name_f]?
[name_f]Avia[/name_f] - 2/10 I see this as a misspelled version of [name_f]Ava[/name_f] sorry
[name_f]Tova[/name_f] - 2/10 the sound is very awkward to me
[name_f]Saoirse[/name_f] - 4/10 I don’t mind the look but the pronunciation always throws me off
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] - 6/10 I used to really not like this name, but I am gradually warming up to it. I know most people get a lot of flower imagery when they hear [name_f]Flora[/name_f], but I can’t help but just hear floor + a which isn’t very appealing to me
[name_f]Marisol[/name_f] - 4/10 I hear “lysol”…I do wish I could get past this association as I otherwise find it a beautiful name.
[name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] - 2/10 [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f]/a have just never appealed to me, even though I know that they are super adored on nameberry
[name_f]Iris[/name_f] - 5/10 much like [name_f]Flora[/name_f], I’m warming up to this one. It isn’t my favorite floral name by far, but I can see the appeal. I can appreciate how it isn’t as over the top feminine as many of the other floral choices are
[name_f]Dalia[/name_f] - 8/10 love! One of my favorite floral names that is high on my own list. I would have scored higher but I do prefer the [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] spelling
[name_f]Poppy[/name_f] - 6/10 I enjoy this name as well, though I do worry about how well it would age. Definitely works as an adorable middle name!

Love [name_f]Flora[/name_f], [name_f]Dalia[/name_f] and [name_f]Poppy[/name_f]! Prefer [name_f]Dalia[/name_f] spelled [name_f]Dahlia[/name_f] though.

[name_f]Sapphire[/name_f] - I dont know, I dont love it. Im not a fan of jewel names 2/10
Avia (pronounced ah-vee-AH) - 9/10 I actually adore [name_f]Avia[/name_f] its so sweet. I like your pronounciation! I think i like ay-vee-ah just a tad more though.
Tova - Hmm 1/10. Not a fan.
Saoirse (pronounced seer-sha) - 7.5/10 I like it alot!
Flora - 3/10 Im not a huge fan of this name, I dont really like alot of names that begin with ‘F’.
Marisol - 7/10 soo sweet! I love it, although it does remind me of the word Parisole.
Rosalia - 4/10, I prefer [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f], but nevertheless [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] is still cute.
Iris - 5.5/10 I really like [name_f]Iris[/name_f]!
Dalia - 3/10 Not a fan
Poppy - 8/10 Adorable! Im sensing a but of a floral theme here
