Hello! I’m a little new on name berry and I have been wondering what style my names have and are there any names that go with the others that I haven’t thought of. If you could maybe rate each of my names out of ten and tell me why you like them or not that would be great too!
These are a few of my favourite combinations from my list:
Your combos are lovely! I’d call them nameberry classics, tailored and feminine for the girls.
They’re all beautiful, I can’t pick one over the other! Though I do love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f].
Changes I’d make:
[name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] - I love alliteration, but these two sound too similar
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f]- This works, but since [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] ends in the sound that [name_f]Edith[/name_f] starts with, they run into each other a bit
[name_m]Eric[/name_m] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] - Again, these sound too similar to aprl together.
Thank you for your feedback! What would you pair [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] and [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] with as an alternative? They are 2 of my favourite names
Daphne [name_f]Belle[/name_f], [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] and [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] are absolutely beautiful names!
As are [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_u]Valentine[/name_u], [name_f]Marigold[/name_f], [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] and [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] ([name_f]Matilda[/name_f] is my favourite!)
Thank you so much
Gwendolyn [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] – 10/10 I love this one! (I have [name_f]Gwendolen[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] on my own list, actually, so I may be biased.)
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] – 6/10
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] – 3/10 I like the names individually, but they sound a little choppy together, imho.
[name_f]Camellia[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] – 2/10 Sorry, it’s just a bit too floral, tbh.
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] – 2/10 Doesn’t flow as well as [name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f].
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] – 7/10 Beautiful!
[name_f]Lowrie[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] – 1/10 Not a fan of [name_f]Lowrie[/name_f], personally, and the -ie ending kind of runs into [name_u]Eden[/name_u].
[name_f]Darcie[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] – 3/10
[name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] – 2/10
[name_f]Cerys[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] – 2/10
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f] – See [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u].
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] – 8/10 [name_u]Love[/name_u] it. The two names are really bright and spunky, both individually and together, and I like the alliteration on this one!
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] – 2/10
Milo [name_u]Grey[/name_u] – 3/10
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] – 8/10 Classic.
[name_u]Alfie[/name_u] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] – 2/10 [name_m]Just[/name_m] a little too nickname-y, imho.
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] – 3/10
[name_u]Rex[/name_u] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] – 1/10 Feels a little over-the-top to me, like trying too hard to be edgy/cool. [name_u]Rex[/name_u] & [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] are great individually, but I think they need to be paired with names that balance them out better.
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] – 1/10 I don’t like how many shared sounds there are between the two.
[name_m]Eric[/name_m] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] – 2/10 The flow is a little choppy.
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] – 5/10
[name_m]Alistair[/name_m] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] – 6/10
Thank you for your feedback it’s much appreciated! [name_f]Do[/name_f] you have any suggestions for middle names for [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f], [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Hazel[/name_f], [name_f]Camellia[/name_f], [name_m]Leo[/name_m] or [name_m]Eric[/name_m] as they are my some of my favourites from my list
Camellia [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] comes to mind, as I think it flows better than [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f].
Would you consider [name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f]? Or maybe…
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Belle[/name_f]
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_u]Ruby[/name_u]
Camellia [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] is absolutely gorgeous!
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Belle[/name_f] are my favourites
All of the alternatives with [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] and [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] are adorable! ([name_f]My[/name_f] favs are [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] and [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f])
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] and [name_m]Eric[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] are also such pretty names! Thank you so much for your suggestions you’ve helped me out alot
Thank you for your feedback! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourites are [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] and [name_m]Alistair[/name_m] too!
Also thanks for your suggestions they are such lovely names! [name_f]My[/name_f] favourites have to be [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f], [name_f]Isadora[/name_f], [name_f]Magnolia[/name_f] (my absolute favourite I love the nickname [name_f]Maggie[/name_f]) and [name_f]Penelope[/name_f]
I love your boys’ names. Rex Apollo (love this!), [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Mack[/name_u], [name_u]Milo[/name_u] [name_u]Grey[/name_u] (and this), [name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m], and [name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] (and this!) are brilliant and I also like [name_u]Alfie[/name_u] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] and [name_m]Alastair[/name_m] [name_m]Mac[/name_m]. [name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] is quite nice too.
For the girls, I love [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. I also adore [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] but not so much [name_f]Blythe[/name_f]. [name_f]Harriet[/name_f], [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f], [name_f]Delilah[/name_f], [name_f]Aurora[/name_f], [name_f]Bronte[/name_f], [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] and [name_f]Edith[/name_f] are lovely too (although I much prefer [name_f]Edie[/name_f] to [name_f]Edith[/name_f]).
With regard to the other names/combos I haven’t mentioned, it’s just about personal taste. There’s nothing wrong with them. The only one I dislike for a specific reason is [name_f]Darcie[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] because to me, [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] is a boys’ name. I understand that it’s more unisex in [name_u]America[/name_u] though. Oh, and with [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f], there’s just a little too much going on with the ‘b’ and ‘ee’ sounds. I have no issue with alliteration but I’d personally prefer something like [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_u]Briar[/name_u] or [name_u]Beatrix[/name_u] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f].
Gwendolyn [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] - a very sweet rustic name, I picture this girl running through fields of wheat! I personally prefer it reversed ([name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Gwendolyn[/name_f]) stylistically but it’s a still really nice combination
[name_f]Delilah[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - i like both names but not together for some reason that I can’t quite understand why not
[name_f]Harriet[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] - I’m not fond of [name_f]Harriet[/name_f] but love [name_u]Eden[/name_u]! it sounds a little too harsh together
[name_f]Camellia[/name_f] [name_f]Lavender[/name_f] - it’s a little too whimsical and overly floral for me to take seriously
[name_f]Adelaide[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - the name just don’t flow together for some reason, I think it’s the long sounds at the end (aaaade and eeeeeve) that clash with each other
[name_f]Rosalind[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - a very pretty, vintage name
[name_f]Lowrie[/name_f] [name_u]Eden[/name_u] - [name_f]Lowrie[/name_f] isn’t my style and I think the e at the end of [name_f]Lowrie[/name_f] runs into the E of [name_u]Eden[/name_u] so it doesn’t flow well
[name_f]Darcie[/name_f] [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - it’s okay but I think it flows better if you reverse it to [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] [name_f]Darcie[/name_f]. Also, just a personal preference but I prefer the [name_u]Darcy[/name_u] spelling
[name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] - they sound too similar to work well together, as they’re both quite Br and ee heavy.
[name_f]Cerys[/name_f] [name_f]Eloise[/name_f] - it’s nice
[name_f]Daphne[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f] - so cute! But again the e in [name_f]Daphne[/name_f] runs into the E in [name_f]Edith[/name_f]!
[name_f]Beatrix[/name_f] [name_f]Blythe[/name_f] - I love the name [name_f]Beatrix[/name_f]! It’s maybe a little too matchy matchy for my liking (although not as much as [name_f]Birdie[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f]) but it is a nice enough combo and it works
[name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] - I’m not a fan of [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Bronte[/name_f] (very earthy sounding) or [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (enchanting) would work much better
Milo [name_u]Grey[/name_u] - I love this. Short and to the point, but also very handsome. They match up really well! I just love how this looks
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Theodore[/name_m] - such a handsome, classic name
[name_u]Alfie[/name_u] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] - it’s nice enough and useable
[name_m]Casper[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] - whilst I like it in theory it sounds a bit too fairytale whimsical to use in real life
[name_u]Rex[/name_u] [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] - they are both very strong sounding names and I think they clash with each other when paired together. Not useable in real life
[name_m]Leo[/name_m] [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] - it just doesn’t look right together, I think they share too many of the same letters and sounds for it to work well
[name_m]Eric[/name_m] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] - too short, harsh and choppy. Also don’t like they both end in ‘ck’ sounds
[name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] - I love the name [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] but again don’t think [name_u]Mack[/name_u] goes with it. I think it’s because the Att of [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] sounds very similar to the ack in [name_u]Mack[/name_u]. I think [name_m]Atticus[/name_m] [name_u]Flynn[/name_u] would work better
[name_m]Alistair[/name_m] [name_u]Mack[/name_u] - it’s lovely and works well together although it does sound like a very steroetypical Scottish name
Thanks you so much for your feedback! I’m definitely going to change [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Aurelia[/name_f] to [name_f]Hazel[/name_f] [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] (dont know why I didnt pair them before) are there any names that form my style you think I’d like?
