[name_m]Hi[/name_m] I know I’ve done this before. But since I’m a name-aholic, I want them to rate them for fun. You can also make combos w them or with other names.
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]. This name is really magical! I just think of a beautiful, fairy-like little girl.
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]. Similar to [name_f]Opal[/name_f], it just has a really magical feel. Super sweet and cheery, I picture a little girl with a big smile on her face all the time.
[name_u]Indiana[/name_u]. Hip! I’m not usually a huge fan of place names, but I’ll make an exception for [name_u]Indiana[/name_u] because it’s one of the best place names for sure! I really love the nickname [name_f]Indie[/name_f] too.
[name_u]Addison[/name_u]. I definitely prefer this to the similar [name_u]Madison[/name_u]! A name that’s rising in popularity, very trendy, can’t really go wrong with it.
[name_f]Genevive[/name_f]. This is only down here because I PREFER the other names, but I actually like [name_f]Genevive[/name_f] too. I don’t dislike any of your girl names. [name_f]Genevive[/name_f] is elegant, mature, and pretty.
Boy rankings
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]. I really like [name_u]Jude[/name_u]! It’s classic and simple. I know one [name_u]Jude[/name_u] in real life and they’re very calm, intelligent, and polite, so that’s what I think of when I hear this name.
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u]. This is quite nice for a place name too! Similar thoughts to what I said about [name_u]Indiana[/name_u]. ([name_u]Dallas[/name_u] is also my favorite place in [name_u]Texas[/name_u], so I’m probably a bit bias.)
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]. Popular, fun. Seems very sporty in my mind.
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. It’s a classic name for a little boy for sure. I just don’t really like the nicknames, [name_m]Tim[/name_m] or [name_m]Timmy[/name_m]. [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] on its own is really nice, though.
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]. I’ve never got the fuss around this name. Although, the [name_u]Hudson[/name_u] I know in real life is a real jerk, so, again, probably bias. Nothing wrong with the name, though.
Neutral rankings
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]. Oh, I love [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]! It’s just so cute and fun, and this is a [name_u]TRUE[/name_u] gender-neutral name. Some names feel more one way than the other, but [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] really feels like it could go either way. Super cute, trendy, and soft.
[name_u]Colbie[/name_u]. This name is number 2 because I really like the name, [name_u]Colby[/name_u]. I’m not really a fan of the spelling [name_u]Colbie[/name_u], but the sounds are really nice.
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]. Similar thoughts to [name_m]Jacob[/name_m]! Definitely see this on a boy, as opposed to a girl.
[name_u]Billy[/name_u]/[name_u]Billie[/name_u]. I dislike [name_u]Billy[/name_u], but I don’t mind [name_u]Billie[/name_u]. Not my style, but I prefer it on a girl. On a good note, though, I picture a bouncing, laughing girl
[name_m]Kelby[/name_m]. For some reason, I associate this name with kelp, like from the sea. I feel like it’s similar to [name_u]Colby[/name_u]/[name_u]Colbie[/name_u], but I definitely prefer [name_u]Colby[/name_u]/[name_u]Colbie[/name_u] to [name_m]Kelby[/name_m].
[name_f]Opal[/name_f] (love it - so beautiful and fun)
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] (elegant and bright)
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] (sleek, smooth and charming)
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] (sweet but nms)
[name_u]Indiana[/name_u] (okay, but i prefer just [name_f]Indie[/name_f])
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] (cool, gentle but masculine)
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] (charming, rugged and sweet)
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] (classic, simple)
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u] (i think it could grow on me)
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] (not a fan)
[name_u]Billie[/name_u]/[name_u]Billy[/name_u] (bouncy, bright and cute)
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] (quirky and cute)
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] (great meaning and sound)
[name_u]Colbie[/name_u] (nice sound!)
[name_m]Kelby[/name_m] (i find the sounds slightly awkward)
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - elegant, feminine and vintage
[name_u]Indiana[/name_u] - usually not a fan of place names, but this is spunky, and nn [name_f]Indie[/name_f] is sweet
[name_f]Opal[/name_f] - fresh, unique and interesting
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] - spunky and feminine, little plain
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] - I’m in the minority here, but I don’t see the appeal, it seems a little too vintage to me; lovely flow though.
Boys:
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] - sweet and distinct sound
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] - adorable, don’t like the nn [name_m]Tim[/name_m]/[name_m]Timmy[/name_m] though
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u] - handsome and rugged, don’t like place names a lot though
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] - seems plain to me, sorry! I also dislike Twilight, so there might be bias
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] - I can just never see the appeal of this one, sorry! Seems more like a last name.
Gender neutral:
[name_u]Billy[/name_u]/[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - I definitely don’t like these for a boy (overdone), but [name_u]Billie[/name_u] on a girl is spunky and cute.
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - Very unisex, which is great and quite rare.
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] - I prefer this on a boy, quite handsome.
[name_u]Colbie[/name_u] - I don’t like this spelling, but [name_u]Colby[/name_u] is dashing
[name_m]Kelby[/name_m] - It doesn’t look or sound right to me, sorry! I much prefer [name_u]Colby[/name_u], and even [name_u]Colbie[/name_u].
I don’t recall if I’ve ever rated your names before, but here we go!
Girls:
1.[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]-Soooo cute. It’s playful, old fashioned, grows up well. I like it a lot, & the sweet nn of [name_f]Lulu[/name_f].
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f]-I like all of the nns for this ([name_f]Ginny[/name_f], [name_f]Gigi[/name_f], [name_f]Evie[/name_f], [name_f]Vivie[/name_f]), but the name as a whole is a bit fussy to my ears. [name_m]Just[/name_m] my opinion. It’s a perfectly nice name.
[name_f]Opal[/name_f]-I want to like this, because I am obsessed w/[name_f]Pearl[/name_f]. And it has a similar vintage feel, plus it’s a gem. It just sounds a little clunky to my ears. However, if I met a little girl named [name_f]Opal[/name_f], I’d probably swoon over it & find it a charming unexpected choice.
[name_u]Addison[/name_u]-Meh. This name is uber trendy & popular. Plus, better for a boy in my opinion. I’m in love w/[name_f]Adeline[/name_f], but the whole ‘[name_f]Addie[/name_f]’ thing is just so over done.
[name_u]Indiana[/name_u]-This is just too much. It’s so associated w/[name_u]Indiana[/name_u] [name_m]Jones[/name_m] that it’s hard to picture on a little girl.
Boys:
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]-[name_m]How[/name_m] handsome. It’s kind of one of those masculine yet beautiful & gentle boy names.
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]-This is obviously way over done, but a very handsome solid name. I have a hard time picturing a [name_m]Jacob[/name_m] who’s not a kind, quiet, smart outdoorsy guy. I like the nn [name_m]Jaco[/name_m]!
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m]-This is a nice name. I don’t love it, but it’s nice enough. Classic, but not heard too often on kids. Very friendly, & [name_m]Tim[/name_m] is sort of sporty.
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]-This is okay. Seems like a nice that I should like, since it’s a little bit cowboyish. I just don’t care for the ‘hud’ sound.
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u]-This is not my style, but it’s not horrible. [name_m]Just[/name_m] sort of trendy.
Gender neutral:
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]-I adore this for a boy but only for a boy. It’s very masculine to me. It’s artsy & a little mysterious. In a very cool way.
[name_u]Billy[/name_u]/[name_u]Billie[/name_u]-I like [name_u]Billy[/name_u] a lot as a nn for [name_m]William[/name_m]. Super cute all American boy. I never much cared for [name_u]Billie[/name_u] for a girl, but recently someone on this sight (was it you?) mentioned [name_f]Mabel[/name_f] nn [name_u]Billie[/name_u] & I found that sort of adorable.
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u]-I like it for a boy. It’s sweet & gentle, w/a cool Irish flair.
[name_u]Colbie[/name_u]-Again, better for a boy but not my style period. Reminds me of cheese!
[name_m]Kelby[/name_m]-Same as above minus the cheese part.
adore/love:
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u]
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - on boy/man
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u]- on boy/man
like:
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] - on a boy/man
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u]
[name_u]Jude[/name_u]
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m]
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] - When I was a young girl I was sure I would name a son [name_m]Timothy[/name_m]. I used to name stuffed animals, babies, etc [name_m]Timmy[/name_m].
[name_u]Eloise[/name_u] - So pretty! One of my favourites atm. She’s sweet, classy, but sassy at the same time!
[name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] - Nms, this is outdated and unattractive imo.
[name_u]Addison[/name_u] - I like [name_u]Addison[/name_u]. She’s funky and quirky.
[name_u]Indiana[/name_u] - Another one I have grown to love recently! I love nn [name_f]Indie[/name_f].
[name_f]Opal[/name_f] - Not a fan, it’s kind of okay but I’m not loving it.
[name_u]Hudson[/name_u] - So handsome! [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_u]Hudson[/name_u].
[name_u]Jude[/name_u] - I think I like this, but I go back and forth. Definitely has some appeal though.
[name_m]Jacob[/name_m] - Very popular atm, however that is likely because it is very handsome!
[name_m]Timothy[/name_m] - For some reason [name_m]Timothy[/name_m] has always felt very weak to me, so I’m not a fan for that reason.
[name_u]Dallas[/name_u] - It’s okay. It fits in with the trendy names of today.
[name_u]Colbie[/name_u] - I like this, to me it’s a boys name however I can see the appeal for girls especially with the -ie ending.
[name_m]Kelby[/name_m] - I actually prefer how this looks written down but when sound out loud I prefer [name_u]Colbie[/name_u].
[name_u]Billy[/name_u]/[name_u]Billie[/name_u] - I’ve never really liked this (definitely a boys name to me though) however [name_u]Billie[/name_u] [name_f]Eilish[/name_f] has made me see something sweet in her.
[name_u]Quinn[/name_u] - [name_f]Adore[/name_f] [name_u]Quinn[/name_u]! However although I wouldn’t think it strange to meet a male [name_u]Quinn[/name_u], I think [name_u]Quinn[/name_u] on a girl is so gorgeous!
[name_u]Dylan[/name_u] - Very handsome! Very popular where I live for boys, however [name_u]Dylan[/name_u] on a girl is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine.
none of these are bad names, though, imo! [name_u]Indiana[/name_u], [name_m]Timothy[/name_m], [name_u]Dallas[/name_u], [name_u]Colbie[/name_u], and [name_m]Kelby[/name_m] are not my style, but if you love them, go for it. Some combo ideas:
