I [name]LOVE[/name] [name]Tessa[/name] & [name]Theo[/name] ([name]TAY[/name]-o), and I also really like [name]Julia[/name], [name]Evan[/name] & [name]Jacob[/name].
The [name]TAY[/name]-o pronunciation is great, one of my best friends has a nephew (and a grandfather) who use this spelling and pronunciation. [name]Love[/name] it!
I love all those names! [name]Elizabeth[/name] and [name]Timothy[/name] are my favourites. I do think the [name]Tay[/name]-o pronunciation could be confusing though.
Girls:
~ I don’t like [name]Melissa[/name].
~ [name]Tessa[/name] is okay but I know a dog named [name]Tess[/name] so it doesn’t have the best associations for me! I prefer the similar-sounding nickname [name]Cassie[/name] for the full name [name]Cassandra[/name].
~ [name]Beth[/name] is way too dull for me, and [name]Elizabeth[/name] is overused in my opinion. I prefer just [name]Eliza[/name].
~ [name]Julia[/name] is really pretty. I know a baby called [name]Julianna[/name] which is even prettier!
Boys:
~ I don’t like [name]Evan[/name] or [name]Michael[/name].
~ I like [name]Theo[/name] pronounced ‘th-ee-oh’.
~ [name]Timothy[/name] is sweet but I don’t like the nickname [name]Tim[/name].
My Favourites:
~ [name]Julia[/name]
~ [name]Theo[/name]
[name]Tessa[/name], [name]Elizabeth[/name], [name]Evan[/name], [name]Jacob[/name] and [name]Theo[/name] are my favourites but I prefer [name]Theodore[/name].
Girls
[name]Melissa[/name]: Not a fan of this name.
[name]Tessa[/name]: Very pretty, although it’s a very popular name for dogs as well.
[name]Beth[/name]: I don’t like it as a name or even a nickname. I do like [name]Elizabeth[/name] though with nickname [name]Eliza[/name].
[name]Julia[/name]: It’s a beautiful name!
Boys
[name]Evan[/name]: It’s a name I like, although I prefer it as a nickname for [name]Evander[/name].
[name]Michael[/name]: I’m really biased on this name. It is over used but I still love it.
[name]Theo[/name]: I like it more as a nickname for [name]Theodore[/name], but I think [name]Theo[/name] (pronounced thee-o) could also stand on it’s own.
[name]Timothy[/name]: It’s an alright name.
Girl:
[name]Melissa[/name] - don’t like this name.
[name]Tessa[/name] - nice, but I hear it more often than I’d like to these days,
[name]Beth[/name] ([name]Elizabeth[/name]) - love [name]Elizabeth[/name], don’t care for [name]Beth[/name]. I prefer [name]Lizzie[/name] or [name]Liza[/name] as nn for [name]Elizabeth[/name]
[name]Julia[/name] - I really like this name. My favorite from your list.
Boy:
[name]Evan[/name] - nice strong name. I prefer the slightly similar sounding [name]Emmett[/name].
[name]Michael[/name] - classic, strong. some people think it’s boring, but it’s one of my all time favorites.
[name]Jacob[/name] - love this name, but it is much too popular right now.
[name]Theo[/name] (Thee-Oh or [name]Tay[/name]-Oh) or [name]Timothy[/name] ([name]Tim[/name])- don’t care for these two
[name]Melissa[/name]-Eh, this is a bit outdated to me. It’s nice enough, though.
[name]Tessa[/name]-This name has been growing on me lately. Cute!
[name]Beth[/name] ([name]Elizabeth[/name])-I prefer the [name]Elisabeth[/name] spelling, but I do love this name. [name]Beth[/name] as a nickname is cute. It’s not my favorite nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name], but I don’t mind it.
[name]Julia[/name]-This is nice, I prefer [name]Juliana[/name], but nothing’s wrong with this.
[name]Evan[/name]-I love this! This is in my top 5 boys names.
[name]Michael[/name]-I feel like every other boy is named [name]Michael[/name], so to me it’s kind of plain. I don’t mind it in the middle though.
[name]Jacob[/name]-I like this. I prefer it as a middle name, but it’s still nice as a first name.
[name]Theo[/name]-Either pronunciation, I don’t really like this name. [name]Just[/name] not my thing.
[name]Timothy[/name] ([name]Tim[/name])-This is nice, I don’t mind it.
I would say that my favorites from your list are [name]Tessa[/name], [name]Julia[/name], and [name]Evan[/name].
Girl:
[name]Melissa[/name] - This is my sister’s name. It’s a little “dated” but still somewhat refreshing to hear among the made up and out there names I keep hearing today.
[name]Tessa[/name] (Tes) - I like this a lot. Though I’d go with [name]Tess[/name] for the nn, just my preference.
[name]Beth[/name] ([name]Elizabeth[/name]) - I like it. Different than all the Ellies out there!
[name]Julia[/name] - A nice name, though NMS.
Boy:
[name]Evan[/name] - Like.
[name]Michael[/name] - A good classic, but NMS.
[name]Jacob[/name] - Nice but super popular.
[name]Theo[/name] (Thee-Oh or [name]Tay[/name]-Oh) - I like this as a nn for [name]Theodore[/name]. I prefer longer “formal” names instead of naming the child the nn, but that’s just my preference. I’d pronounce it thee-oh just because I think most people would pronounce it that way.
[name]Timothy[/name] ([name]Tim[/name]) - I like it. Another sort of “dated” name but refreshing.
I like [name]Julia[/name].
[name]Love[/name] [name]Michael[/name] and [name]Jacob[/name], and I like [name]Theo[/name] as a nickname but prefer [name]Theodore[/name].
[name]Tessa[/name] is a mess ah. [name]Do[/name] better than that! [name]Timothy[/name] I love. [name]Do[/name] I want to go on a blind date with [name]Timothy[/name]—YES You can’tt go wrong with [name]Elizabeth[/name], plenty of nick name options
I really like all of your names! [name]Tessa[/name] and [name]Julia[/name] are my favs for girls. [name]Michael[/name] and [name]Timothy[/name] are my favs for boys! Good [name]Luck[/name]!
Girls: [name]Julia[/name] and [name]Elizabeth[/name] are my favorites from your list. [name]Just[/name] this evening during a long drive home, I was thinking what a fine name [name]Julia[/name] [name]Catherine[/name] would have been for another daughter. (I would love to have had more kids.)
Boys: I like the names in this order: [name]Timothy[/name], [name]Theo[/name], [name]Jacob[/name], [name]Michael[/name], and [name]Evan[/name].
Girl:
[name]Melissa[/name] - I like [name]Melissa[/name] but it does feel a bit dated to me. If that doesn’t bother you though, I see no reason not to use it.
[name]Tessa[/name] (Tes) - Prefer this as a nickname for either [name]Theresa[/name] ([name]Teresa[/name]) or Contessa. I think it’s cute but just doesn’t feel like a full name to me.
[name]Beth[/name] ([name]Elizabeth[/name]) - Like this but only as a nickname for [name]Elizabeth[/name] (or any other name with [name]Beth[/name] in it, such as [name]Bethany[/name]).
[name]Julia[/name] - I find this a bit plain and would prefer [name]Juliet[/name] but there is a sweetness about it that is appealing.
Boy:
[name]Evan[/name] - Like this one. Definitely a modern classic.
[name]Michael[/name] - Not my personal favorite but it’s a strong, classic name and you can never really go wrong with those.
[name]Jacob[/name] - [name]Love[/name] this. Very handsome.
[name]Theo[/name] (Thee-Oh or [name]Tay[/name]-Oh) - Prefer as a nickname for [name]Theodore[/name] and pronounced thee-oh.
[name]Timothy[/name] ([name]Tim[/name]) - [name]One[/name] of the few cases where the nickname sounds more adult than the full name. As with [name]Michael[/name], it’s not a personal favorite of mine but I think it’s a solid, sturdy choice.
I like [name]Tessa[/name] when it is used as a nickname for [name]Theresa[/name]/[name]Teresa[/name].
I personally prefer the spelling THÉO if the pronunciation is [name]Tay[/name]-Oh. I also rather use the full name [name]Theodore[/name] to get the nickname [name]Theo[/name]. Out of all the Jul- names [name]Julie[/name] is my least favorite and [name]Julia[/name] comes after that. I really prefer [name]Juliet[/name].
Wow! Thanks for all of the replies guys! [name]Just[/name] came back from a trip and this is definitely a pleasant surprise. After some thinking, I think I’ve found that [name]Theo[/name] and [name]Julia[/name] are my favourites as of now. Could change within the coming months so I’ll definitely take what you guys have said and use it to my advantage. Thanks again!
