I am in love with your style! The [name_f]English[/name_f] names are just as great as the Hebrew ones, honestly; I’m so happy to see some of these, like [name_u]Shai[/name_u], [name_m]Yonah[/name_m], [name_m]Yaakov[/name_m], [name_m]Shlomo[/name_m], [name_u]Yehudah[/name_u], [name_m]Shmuel[/name_m], and [name_m]Ronen[/name_m]!
Elliott [name_m]Stan[/name_m] - I am so tickled pink with the idea of [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] nn [name_u]Elie[/name_u]; I love [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] in general and [name_u]Elie[/name_u] in general; I would use [name_m]Leo[/name_m] as a nn for [name_u]Elliot[/name_u] if anything, but I love the idea of [name_u]Elie[/name_u], which reminds me of [name_u]Elie[/name_u] Wiesel. I love [name_u]Shai[/name_u], too; my sister super wanted to use it for my nephew, but I don’t think my BIL was keen. I would honestly love to see [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_u]Shai[/name_u], but [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Stan[/name_m] has some serious charm too.
[name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]Asher[/name_u]/Netanel [name_u]Asher[/name_u] - love both forms! Super handsome and bookishly delightful.
[name_m]Raphael[/name_m] [name_m]David[/name_m] - not a huge fan of either name, but it works well! [name_m]Rafi[/name_m] is handsome, but I admit to preferring the Portuguese [name_u]Rafa[/name_u], which I adore.
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] - so handsome! I’ve been crushing on [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] lately. I do prefer [name_m]Jonas[/name_m] to just [name_u]Jonah[/name_u]; I recently reread the book of [name_u]Jonah[/name_u] and he’s definitely not my favorite prophet namesake, but the meaning of his name is lovely, and I do love [name_m]Yonah[/name_m] and especially [name_m]Jonas[/name_m]!
[name_m]Silas[/name_m] [name_m]Eliezer[/name_m] - I like [name_m]Silas[/name_m] but am very picky about comboing him up. This sounds really nice but I think I’d like [name_m]Eliezer[/name_m] [name_m]Silas[/name_m] a bit more?
[name_m]Damian[/name_m] [name_m]Saul[/name_m] - super lovely! I admit to preferring [name_m]Dov[/name_m] [name_m]Shlomo[/name_m] though.
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Matan[/name_m] - incredibly perfect; I love it! [name_m]Yaakov[/name_m] [name_m]Matan[/name_m] is nice; I think I would have liked [name_m]Yochanan[/name_m] a bit better, but I get that that doesn’t have a ton of meaning for a Jew over a [name_u]Christian[/name_u]…
[name_u]Callum[/name_u] [name_m]Xavier[/name_m] - handsome, but I like [name_u]Callan[/name_u] and [name_m]Calvin[/name_m] over [name_u]Callum[/name_u], personally. [name_m]Yonah[/name_m] [name_m]Chaim[/name_m] is fascinating tho!
[name_m]Nicholas[/name_m] [name_u]Jude[/name_u] - super nice, although I am more fascinated by Amichai [name_u]Yehudah[/name_u], which sort of reminds me of [name_u]Jonah[/name_u]’s father (Amittai in [name_f]English[/name_f], not sure how different it is in Hebrew?).
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] - I’m still not the hugest [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] fan, even though it is my adorable nephew’s name.
I admit to preferring [name_m]Oscar[/name_m], [name_f]Olive[/name_f], or [name_f]Olivia[/name_f]/Olivie, personally. But [name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]Reid[/name_u] is unobjectionably classic and timeless, and [name_m]Ilan[/name_m] [name_m]Adam[/name_m] is fascinating. I just love [name_m]Adam[/name_m] in general.
[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Ronan[/name_m]/Shmuel [name_m]Ronen[/name_m]: Other than MAYBE [name_m]Jack[/name_m] [name_m]Matan[/name_m] and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] [name_m]Stan[/name_m], this could quite possibly be my favorite! I love the [name_f]English[/name_f] and Hebrew forms equally, and the two names are perfect together. [name_f]My[/name_f] only objection is that I’m watching a television show (well, currently in hiatus, but anyways) set in [name_u]Israel[/name_u] at the time of [name_m]Jesus[/name_m]’ ministry, and there’s a very unlikable baddie named [name_m]Shmuel[/name_m] that is ruining my original love of the name. I think [name_m]Shmuel[/name_m] is fascinating and lovely, but ugh, yeah, that [name_m]Shmuel[/name_m] is not the loveliest. I need a good association to reverse it around.
Samuel, [name_m]Jack[/name_m], and [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] are my favorites!
And [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m]. [name_m]Nathaniel[/name_m] [name_u]Asher[/name_u] is fab.
