[name_f]Ada[/name_f] - Sweet and elegant, [name_f]Ada[/name_f] feels very belle époque and at the same time, very current.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] - A stylish classic. [name_f]Alice[/name_f] sounds very dainty and lacy to me, but it still has sass.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Flora[/name_f]. It is just so evocative of a country garden, delicate and fashionable but sincere and natural.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] - [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is smart and urban and clever, at the same time as being simple. I slightly prefer [name_u]Joan[/name_u], but [name_f]Jane[/name_f] is a wonderful choice.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] - [name_f]Rose[/name_f] is beautiful. However popular [name_f]Rose[/name_f] gets, it will always feel quaint in a bucolic and womanly way.
[name_m]Arthur[/name_m] - I love the connection to [name_m]King[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] and his Knights. This is a very old name, and very trendy at the moment.
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] - I can’t overstate how much I love [name_m]Edmund[/name_m]. One of the most English names, it has proved its power to stand the test of time. It has so many fantastic namesakes. It just oozes quite strength and intellect.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] - Very masculine and regal. I’m not personally a [name_m]Henry[/name_m] enthusiast, but I appreciate how solid and classic it is.
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] - Like [name_m]Arthur[/name_m], this is very trendy at the moment. It is very dapper Edwardian, and I love the meaning.
[name_f]Rose[/name_f] [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f] - Combined with [name_f]Lavinia[/name_f] [name_f]Charlotte[/name_f], I find that [name_f]Rose[/name_f] feels a bit overdone-ruffled-Victorian.
[name_m]Henry[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] - Classic and beautiful, I love [name_m]Frederick[/name_m].
[name_m]Hugo[/name_m] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] - I think putting [name_m]Hugo[/name_m], [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] and [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] together in one person’s name is making it turn-of-the-century to the point of affectation.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] [name_f]Mary[/name_f] - The three names compliment each other beautifully. [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] strengthens [name_f]Alice[/name_f]'s sparkle, and [name_f]Mary[/name_f] brings them down to earth with her sweet simpleness and purity.
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] - I am not keen on [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] together. While [name_m]Hugo[/name_m] can be a lovely name, paired with [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] the combination loses some sincerity.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f] - I would prefer [name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Flora[/name_f], as [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f] feels a bit too continental with the very British [name_f]Jane[/name_f]. [name_f]Flora[/name_f] has a very different flavour
from [name_f]Jane[/name_f] to me, but I still find that this works.
[name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f] - [name_f]Flora[/name_f] is pure sweetness, [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] is ladylike elegance, and [name_f]Edith[/name_f] is homespun and girlish. [name_f]Flora[/name_f] [name_f]Juliet[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f] gives a bit of juxtaposition of feels to me, and I find that they would make better sister names than middle names for each other.
[name_f]Jane[/name_f] [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] [name_f]Violet[/name_f] - [name_f]Matilda[/name_f] compliments [name_f]Jane[/name_f]'s spunkiness, but [name_f]Violet[/name_f] makes it more primping and coquettish.
[name_m]Edgar[/name_m] [name_m]Leopold[/name_m] - A name that makes a statement. Very aristocratic.
