Hi there.
Here are my favorite to least favorite rankings:
Eleanor [name_f]Iris[/name_f]-I love [name_f]Eleanor[/name_f]! It’s the perfect balance of smart, bold, feminine, classic & adventurous. [name_f]Iris[/name_f] is not my favorite name personally, but I don’t mind it as a mn here. It has nice floral imagery.
Beatrice [name_f]Marigold[/name_f]-I don’t usually like when fn/mn combos both have ‘r’ sounds, but this is so darn cute I don’t even care. [name_f]Beatrice[/name_f] has this great bookish quality…like a sweet little girl in a library who afterwards goes outside & climbs trees. And [name_f]Bea[/name_f], [name_f]Bette[/name_f] & [name_f]Bess[/name_f] are super cute nn options.
Susanna [name_f]Claire[/name_f]-I’m very drawn to [name_f]Susanna[/name_f] spelled this way. It seems very homey, sweet & charming. It’s unique yet recognizable & classic. And I love all of the nns: [name_f]Sadie[/name_f], [name_f]Sally[/name_f], [name_f]Annie[/name_f], [name_f]Anna[/name_f] & [name_u]Scout[/name_u] mostly.
Elisabeth [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]-I kind of like the ‘z’ in [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] better, but it’s still a nice solid name w/lots of sweet nn options. And I love love love [name_f]Daisy[/name_f]. It really brightens up the slightly serious [name_f]Elisabeth[/name_f].
Phoebe [name_f]Lillian[/name_f]-Such a pretty combo. [name_f]Phoebe[/name_f] is kind of quirky & fun loving, where [name_f]Lillian[/name_f] is more classic & serious.
Katherine [name_u]June[/name_u]-I don’t like how they both end in ‘n’ sounds, but this is a nice classic combo still. I love the idea of [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] nn [name_u]Kit[/name_u] or [name_f]Kitty[/name_f].
Amy [name_f]Isabel[/name_f]-[name_f]Amy[/name_f] is a little dated for my tastes, but I don’t hate it. It’s kind of cute & sporty.
Anna [name_f]Renee[/name_f]-[name_f]Renee[/name_f] is my mn, but I don’t love it. It makes [name_f]Anna[/name_f] seem a little drab, whereas [name_f]Anna[/name_f] is sweet, not terribly interesting, but sweet on its own.
Melissa [name_f]Delphine[/name_f]-[name_f]Melissa[/name_f] is kind of dated & just a bit blah in my opinion. I honestly do like this combo though, even though [name_f]Delphine[/name_f] is not my favorite either. The combo makes [name_f]Melissa[/name_f] seem more exotic, which I like.
Helena [name_f]Marguerite[/name_f]-Neither of these names are my style, & I feel like [name_f]Helena[/name_f] will most definitely have pronunciation issues.
Hope this helps.
