Rate our final 4 names!

Hello!

After a lot of discussing my husband and I have now narrowed it down to our four final names.

We would like to hear your opinions and ratings of these names (scale 1-10) to help us decide

  • Leith (pronounced; lay-th)
  • Hayes
  • Malachi
  • Ian

Our little boy will be joining his twin sisters [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Milena[/name_f].

Thanks in advance!

Leith- 7/10
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]- 9/10
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]- 9/10
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]- 4/10

I think [name_u]Leith[/name_u] goes best with big sisters though!

Leith 2/10- it’s different but it’s not my favorite. I have a feeling may people will read “[name_u]Leith[/name_u]” as “[name_u]Leigh[/name_u]”
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] 5/10- I like [name_u]Hayes[/name_u] especially as a middle name my only problem with it is it reminds me of [name_m]Hanes[/name_m] the underwear brand
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] 10/10- I love [name_m]Malachi[/name_m]! It’s unique and biblical and has the cutest nickname “[name_u]Kai[/name_u]”!
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] 3/10- it’s a nice name but it’s really popular where I’m from. All little overdone if you ask me.

Leith - 6/10 - I quite like this and I like it with [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Milena[/name_f].
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] - 7/10
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] - 5/10 - [name_u]Kai[/name_u] is a really cute nn! Other than that I’m pretty neutral about the name.
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] - 2/10 - the only people I know with this age are at least 30 so I can’t really see it working on a baby!

Leith- 6/10
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]: 5/10
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]- 8/10
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]- 8/10

  • Leith - 4
  • Hayes -7
  • Malachi -8
  • Ian - 4

[name_u]Leith[/name_u] - 3/10 - Not bad for a fantasy novel but I can’t see it on a human
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] - 8/10 - I used to not like this name but it’s grown on me! I like it a lot
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] - 6/10
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] - 7/10 - I think [name_m]Ian[/name_m] works better as a nickname (but I don’t know for what name). [name_m]Ian[/name_m] is still great though!

Leith; 7/10—I pronounced if [name_u]Lee[/name_u] th. Interesting name.
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]; 6/10–short and to the point.
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]—9/10—I really like this one. Wondering how it gets shortened…?
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]—4/10—I’m over this one.

Malachi or [name_m]Malachy[/name_m] would be my first choice. [name_u]Unique[/name_u] name with Biblical roots and nice sound/vibe.
[name_u]Leith[/name_u] is very interesting. Sounds Scottish. Guess pronunciation could be problematic.
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] is okay, but quite surnamey.
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] seems a bit short and overdone.

  • Leith - 4/10
  • Hayes - 7/10 - [name_u]Love[/name_u] it with your daughters’ names!
  • Malachi - 7/10
  • Ian - 8/10 - maybe too similar to [name_f]Kenna[/name_f] and [name_f]Milena[/name_f]?

Malachi is my favourite

Leith - 1/10… will have life-long pronunciation issues
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] - 9/10… really love this name
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] - 5/10 … nms, but OK
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] - 8/10… good strong name

Best wishes!

I think [name_u]Leith[/name_u] is best with your girls!

Leith ~ 8/10. I think this is the best option for you; it’s unique but doesn’t feel like one of those trying-too-hard names. It has very interesting vibes.

Hayes ~ 6.5/10. I think this goes almost as well with your daughters’ names, but it’s not really to my personal taste, so it came out a bit lower

Malachi ~ 6.5/10. This is definitely my favourite of your four, but sounds a little too similar to [name_f]Milena[/name_f], so I don’t think you could use it.

Ian ~ 4/10. I’m sorry, but at least where I’m from, this has very strong Middle-Aged-[name_m]Man[/name_m] energy. I’m not sure about how it seems in your area, though, so you’re probably fine!

Hayes goes the best.
[name_u]Leith[/name_u] 7
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] 7.5
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] 8
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] 2

I think [name_m]Malachi[/name_m] goes the best with your daughters.

Leith 5.5/10
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] 5.5/10
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] 4/10
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] 6/10

Leith- 5/10
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]- 6/10
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]- 10/10
[name_m]Ian[/name_m]- 7/10

[name_u]Leith[/name_u] 6/10
[name_u]Hayes[/name_u] 4/10
[name_m]Malachi[/name_m] 5/10
[name_m]Ian[/name_m] 10/10

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my thoughts-

[name_u]Leith[/name_u]-This is m favorite. It’s super unique, but not complicated. It’s just really handsome & sweet sounding. But in a masculine way.

[name_u]Hayes[/name_u]-This is nice. A similar vibe as [name_u]Leith[/name_u], but just not as cool in my opinion.

[name_m]Malachi[/name_m]-This is nice. It’s kind of fun & unexpected w/your crew. [name_f]My[/name_f] nephew is [name_m]Malachy[/name_m] ([name_u]Mal[/name_u]-uh-key), so this doesn’t sound right to me . [name_m]Even[/name_m] though [name_m]Malachy[/name_m] gets called ‘[name_u]Mal[/name_u]-uh-kai’ by people who don’t know him a lot. It’s obviously a more popular version.

[name_m]Ian[/name_m]-This seems a bit lackluster. The rest of your list is way more interesting.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.

Can [name_u]Leith[/name_u] be pronounced like [name_m]Keith[/name_m] with an L?

Malachi is gorgeous. Gets my vote !

I think [name_u]Leith[/name_u] goes the best!
