I got this idea from all of the “Rate the signature” and “Rate the sibset” threads. I don’t know if a thread like this already exists but I haven’t seen one, so here goes.
You can post here when you want an opinion on a name, but don’t think that it needs a whole post, or you just want another opinion. So one poster will post a name, boy or girl, and then the next poster will tell them what they think of it and post their own name, and so on.
So I’ll start:
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] “Bash”
[name_m]Sebastian[/name_m] is very handsome, [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] is a bit too modern for me. I definitely would not prefer the spelling [name_m]Rider[/name_m] but the -y in there just makes the name look so trendy to me. However, looking at your signature, [name_m]Ryder[/name_m] fits in with the other middle names very well.
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] (if a nn would be used, it’d be [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f])
[name_f]Alice[/name_f] is very cute and pairs really well with [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f]. I would prefer [name_u]Ali[/name_u] as a NN for [name_f]Alice[/name_f] but [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] would be very cute on a little girl.
[name_m]Hi[/name_m] @opheliaflora - [name_f]Alice[/name_f] [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f].
I just turned the TV on -maybe the British [name_u]Royal[/name_u] baby is born and I don’t know. (10am Austalian time.)
The connection being [name_f]Alice[/name_f] is top favorite in the betting for a name.
I am growing to like [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] more everyday and [name_f]Alice[/name_f] seems okay. But / [name_f]Alis[/name_f] - kor/ - I am not sure this is the best flow achievable. The /ess/ sound end of [name_f]Alice[/name_f] to the /k/ of [name_f]Cordelia[/name_f] gives a little ‘esk’ that I am not liking.
I think it’s really good but by your standard maybe you can make a better combo.
Apologies- I love your style so you have to live up to it -and this is JMO-Ha the British [name_u]Baby[/name_u] has arrived. This news will fill our media for weeks.
My other query to you is- [name_f]Lizzie[/name_f] for a nname? I am struggling to get this. Eldie/ [name_f]Alda[/name_f]/ [name_f]Selie[/name_f]/a /[name_f]Lila[/name_f]/ [name_f]Lora[/name_f]/ [name_f]Lily[/name_f]?
My Quick question-I am awaiting birth of [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] - I have [name_f]Hermione[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f] [name_f]Imogene[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] on my list.
Can you give me your best combo please? -I would love any other suggestion which would lighten the combo but so far I have ruled out [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_u]Juniper[/name_u] [name_f]Lark[/name_f] [name_f]Summer[/name_f] [name_u]Clare[/name_u] -I just don’t them -I do love [name_f]Rose[/name_f] but our surname contains this name. thank you
So sorry -I am too slow Becket Xavier -I really like . Good contrast of sounds.
I am waiting for Cressidas birth- Hermione, Alexandra, imogene and Ophelia are on my list. could you please give me your best 3 name combo with cressida?
I would like to lghten it and have tried Blythe, Clare, lark juniper, I loe Rose but our surname contains this sound so any suggestions for that too are most welcome.
thank you
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Imogene[/name_f] is my favorite by far, next would be [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] or [name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Alexandra[/name_f]
Other suggestions
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Marie[/name_f]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_u]Rain[/name_u]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]May[/name_f]/[name_f]Mae[/name_f]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_u]Rae[/name_u]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_u]Wren[/name_u]
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Roisin[/name_f] ([name_f]Roisin[/name_f] means little [name_f]Rose[/name_f], so that would be a way to fit rose into the babys name without clashing with your surname.
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_u]Roan[/name_u] ([name_u]Roan[/name_u] is pretty close to [name_f]Rose[/name_f], but again wouldn’t clash with your surname.)
[name_f]Cressida[/name_f] [name_f]Rhonwen[/name_f]
[name_f]Hope[/name_f] these helped!
Question is:
What is a good middle name for Genevieve?
