I’m not expecting, just a teenberry name fanatic who is looking for some feedback and new perspectives on the names in my signature.
SOme questions are:
I really like all of the boy combos, though I think I’d give [name_u]Claude[/name_u] a different middle name to not have the repetitive ‘d’ sound at the end. My fave names from that set are [name_u]Claude[/name_u], [name_m]Felix[/name_m] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] and fave combos are [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m].
I like [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f], [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Enid[/name_f], [name_f]Paulina[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] and [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Melody[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and the only thing I would maybe change is add an ‘a’ to make the middle Raphaella/[name_f]Rafaella[/name_f] (love that name!). [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] is pretty and [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] is cute as a middle name when you say it out loud, though I don’t like how it ‘looks’ I guess. I think that would be a better nickname. I don’t really dislike any of your names even if some are NMS. They’re all solid and sound good together!
My favourite girl name from your list is [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], and instead of [name_f]Enid[/name_f], I would change the combo to [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]! It’s so pretty! Your boy names are more my taste. I really like [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Issac[/name_m]! I’m not a big fan of [name_m]Giles[/name_m] and [name_u]Claude[/name_u].
My favorites are [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] and [name_m]Phillip[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]. I’m mostly a traditional namer, so your girls’ names aren’t really my style. There’s nothing wrong with them inherently, though!
I would tend to pair shorter names with longer ones, syllabically. For instance, [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] has 3 syllables, and [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] has 4. I would probably choose a different middle because of that. Maybe [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f] and [name_f]Iris[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]?
Sorry if I suggest any of your pet peeve names or offend you! [name_m]Just[/name_m] my opinions~
[name_m]Philip[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u], [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m], and [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] are all wonderful. I’d switch [name_u]Claude[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] to [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Claude[/name_u] and personally use [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] instead of [name_m]Giles[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] ([name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m]/[name_m]Matthew[/name_m] [name_m]Gilbert[/name_m] is a GP I personally love but can’t use for certain reasons so I’m probably being a bit biased here) Maybe [name_m]Giles[/name_m] [name_m]Matteo[/name_m] or [name_m]Giles[/name_m] [name_m]Mathias[/name_m]?
With Tobaias [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] its the same as with [name_u]Claude[/name_u]. I prefer [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_m]Tobias[/name_m]. Which is odd because I like [name_u]Claude[/name_u] and [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] both far more than [name_m]Daniel[/name_m]
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Melody[/name_f] is beautiful. [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] looks and sounds pretty (two of my favourite names) but both names are super popular. Maybe [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Beth[/name_f] or [name_f]Avalon[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] or [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] [name_f]Briar[/name_f]?
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Enid[/name_f]. I love [name_f]Enid[/name_f] but I have to make it a GP for myself because while it sounds pretty when OTHER people say it whenever I say it (or [name_u]Eden[/name_u]) it feels wrong. Does anyone else have this issue? Anyway, I also don’t think that the combo flows. I’d suggest [name_f]Sophia[/name_f] [name_f]Enid[/name_f] but… TWD? Maybe [name_u]Silver[/name_u] [name_f]Enid[/name_f] or [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Edith[/name_f]?
[name_f]Paulina[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f]-[name_f]Iris[/name_f] is nice. I dislike [name_f]Paulina[/name_f]. Combo sounds pretty
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Raphaelle[/name_f]- I love [name_f]Esther[/name_f], but not sure about this combo. I’m not sure I like [name_f]Raphaelle[/name_f] either. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Elle[/name_f] or [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] [name_f]Esther[/name_f]?
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f]- [name_u]Love[/name_u] the names, but think I’d like [name_f]Rosalie[/name_f] [name_f]Sunniva[/name_f] or [name_f]Rosalia[/name_f] [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] better~
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - [name_f]Aurora[/name_f] is my middle name, so I might be a little biased, but I love it. [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] is a really popular middle name in girls our age (along with [name_f]Marie[/name_f] and [name_f]Nicole[/name_f]), so it’s not really my thing.
[name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Melody[/name_f] - I like [name_f]Clover[/name_f] a lot more than I thought I would, but I wouldn’t pair it with another noun name like [name_f]Melody[/name_f]. Maybe use something more classic to ground either one of these names?
[name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Enid[/name_f] - I love [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f], like, a lot. It’s an honor name for [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] Plath, my favorite poet. [name_f]Enid[/name_f] isn’t really my style, but it sounds nice with [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f].
[name_f]Paulina[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] - I really don’t like [name_f]Paulina[/name_f], but that’s just because it feels really dated to me. I love [name_f]Iris[/name_f], though.
[name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Raphaelle[/name_f] - [name_f]Esther[/name_f] is a GP for me, and I think it’s so pretty. I agree with cactusgram’s suggestion to change the middle name to Raphaella; it seems more balanced.
[name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] - So cute! I’d just be afraid that it wouldn’t age well. Maybe use a longer [name_f]Rose[/name_f]- name like [name_f]Rosalind[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosamund[/name_f]/[name_f]Rosemary[/name_f] and call her [name_f]Rosa[/name_f]?
[name_m]Phillip[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] - [name_m]Phillip[/name_m] is nms, but [name_u]James[/name_u] in the middle is good.
[name_m]Giles[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] - [name_m]Giles[/name_m] is also nms, but [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] reminds me of my stepdad, because that’s his mn, so it’s nice.
[name_u]Claude[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] - [name_u]Claude[/name_u] is nms. [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] is classic. I’d flip it to [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] [name_u]Claude[/name_u].
[name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] - I love [name_m]Tobias[/name_m], esp. with the nn [name_u]Toby[/name_u]. [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] really balances it out, I think, and I like the flow.
[name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] - I think the flow is better if you flip it around ([name_m]Christopher[/name_m] [name_m]Felix[/name_m]) but I like [name_m]Felix[/name_m] more as a fn.
[name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] - [name_u]Love[/name_u] [name_m]Edmund[/name_m], though I prefer it in the middle spot. [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] is nice.
[name_f]Aurora[/name_f] [name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f] - This combo is lovely, though I do think it would flow better if it were to be reversed. [name_f]Clover[/name_f] [name_f]Melody[/name_f] - I’ve never really liked [name_f]Melody[/name_f] so this is a hard one for me. I might be biased. [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] [name_f]Enid[/name_f] - This is wonderful. I’ve never truly liked the name [name_f]Sylvia[/name_f] but paired with [name_f]Enid[/name_f] it looks great. [name_f]Paulina[/name_f] [name_f]Iris[/name_f] - I don’t think these names match very well but the flow works wonderfully. [name_f]Esther[/name_f] [name_f]Raphaelle[/name_f] - [name_f]Esther[/name_f] looks far too classic to be paired with such an unusual middle. At least in my opinion. [name_f]Rosa[/name_f] [name_f]Sunshine[/name_f] - Not very keen. It almost sounds as though an eight year old picked it out. Sorry!
[name_m]Phillip[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] - This works! The flow is great and the match of two traditional names looks perfect. [name_m]Giles[/name_m] [name_m]Matthew[/name_m] - Hmm, I’m not liking it. [name_m]Giles[/name_m] sounds far too much like “piles” for me to see it in a good light. [name_u]Claude[/name_u] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] - [name_u]Claude[/name_u] paired with [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] brings it down a peg or two. I think if matched with another classic, perhaps [name_m]Raphael[/name_m] or [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] it would work wonderfully. [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] [name_m]Daniel[/name_m] - Nice flow. I like the thought of [name_m]Tobias[/name_m] being paired with [name_m]Arthur[/name_m] or [name_m]Phillip[/name_m]. [name_m]Felix[/name_m] [name_m]Christopher[/name_m] - [name_m]Felix[/name_m] is very much a cat name to me so I can’t see much potential with this combo. [name_m]Edmund[/name_m] [name_m]Isaac[/name_m]- I’ve never really liked [name_m]Isaac[/name_m] but I think it works here! I think the two work wonderfully.
