Out of ten:

[name_f]Apolline[/name_f] - 7.5
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] - 7.5
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] - 6-8
[name_f]Camellia[/name_f] - 6
[name_u]Cleo[/name_u] - 10

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - 8
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - 8
[name_m]Rossi[/name_m] - 4

Thoughts:

[name_f]Apolline[/name_f] - elegant and interesting
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] - sparky and bright
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] - depends on pn for me - [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] is warm, fresh and summery, eye-luh is sharp and sweet, but it sounds so similar to popular [name_f]Isla[/name_f] that it lacks shine
[name_f]Camellia[/name_f] - floral and pretty, maybe a bit fussy for me
[name_u]Cleo[/name_u] - beautiful - sparky, punchy, powerful and lovely in so few letters
[name_f]Lola[/name_f] - warm and cute
[name_f]Macie[/name_f] - pretty cute and fun
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - elegant and sleek and mysterious
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - literary, floral and elegant
[name_m]Rossi[/name_m] - hmm, how is this pronounced. Like Ro-see, roh-see/ross-ee, ro-zee?

To me, it’s like the surname, so it would be pronounced Ross-ee

[name_f]Apolline[/name_f] - 8/10, love the nickname [name_f]Polly[/name_f] and it’s a less common -line name. Less keen on it being a feminisation of [name_m]Apollo[/name_m] but that doesn’t matter too much.

[name_f]Athena[/name_f] - 10/10, love it, a super wearable goddess name with a fantastic meaning! I find it slightly annoying that it’s getting more popular

[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] - 3/10, I’m just not big on these short and sweet names myself. I find similar names like Lila/Layla/Isla a bit like baby talk :see_no_evil: but that’s very subjective!

[name_f]Camellia[/name_f] - 7/10, very elegant and floral! Makes me think of beautiful summer gardens. It’s a little fussy perhaps.

[name_u]Cleo[/name_u] - 8/10, okay I’m a hypocrite because this is a short name I actually like. It’s got style and spark.

[name_f]Lola[/name_f] - 5/10, see [name_f]Ayla[/name_f]. Although I like this more, it’s got a bit more of a cool-girl vibe.

[name_f]Macie[/name_f] - 6/10, quite fun and cute like [name_f]Gracie[/name_f] but it reminds me of mace spray a bit.

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - 5/10, Celtic and intriguing but the fact that it’s number one on NB puts me off a bit!

[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - 9/10, gorgeous gorgeous name, so elegant and vastly more interesting than [name_f]Olivia[/name_f] - only losing 1 mark for the tragic character association.

[name_m]Rossi[/name_m] - 7/10, ooh this has flair and sass on a girl, I quite like it!

How I group these in my head:
[name_f]Apolline[/name_f], [name_f]Athena[/name_f], [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] - whimsical, mythological type names. Of these, I think my favourite might be [name_f]Apolline[/name_f]? I used to really like [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] but it’s been off my radar recently.

[name_f]Lola[/name_f], [name_f]Ayla[/name_f], [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] - the shorter names. I’d probably rank them [name_u]Cleo[/name_u] > [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] > [name_f]Lola[/name_f] personally. [name_m]Just[/name_m] met a lot of Lolas whereas the other two have some mystery for me.

[name_f]Macie[/name_f], [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] - similar sounds. Much prefer [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] but I’m not a really a cutesy, nicknamey -ie ending person. (Unlike where I live, England!)

That leaves [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] and [name_m]Rossi[/name_m] as ones I don’t think fit as well with the others sound/feel-wise. Both are fine, I don’t have a huge reaction. [name_m]Rossi[/name_m] makes me think of Criminal Minds. It also feels quite masculine to me compared to the rest of the list which feels pretty feminine in general.

[name_f]Apolline[/name_f] 10/10 - love it! [name_u]Super[/name_u] feminine and love [name_f]Polly[/name_f] as a nickname
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] 4/10 - Greek goddess association is very heavy for me. Feels like a lot to live up to
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] 5/10 - anagram for [name_f]Lyla[/name_f] but it’s cute. Seems a little too cutesy for an adult though
[name_f]Camellia[/name_f] 4/10 - it feels a little made up, like [name_f]Camilla[/name_f] but spelled differently. Also reminds me of caramel and chamomile at the same time
[name_u]Cleo[/name_u] 7/10 - really cute and timeless. I’d prefer it as a middle but it’s very soft yet independent
[name_f]Lola[/name_f] 7/10 - really feminine and girly. Reminds me of [name_f]Lola[/name_f] bunny but it’s not necessarily a bad association
[name_f]Macie[/name_f] 3/10 - reminds me of Macy’s (the store) and the Macy’s Thanksgiving [name_u]Day[/name_u] Parade. Also reminds me of mace (the spray of the weapon). Not a huge fan
[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] 6/10 - cute but becoming pretty popular
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] 9/10 - gorgeous. Prefer to Olivia/Olive
[name_m]Rossi[/name_m] 4/10 - seems more of a boy name. Reminds me of Messi

Apolline - 9/10, really interesting and sweet name with cute nicknames!
Athena - 7/10, a cool choice! I really like the goddess association. Quite popular nowadays but still distinctive
Ayla - 3/10, I’m just not a fan of the Ayla/Isla/Lyla/Ella family of names, I’m quite tired of them
Camellia - 8/10, Really pretty and underrated flower name!
Cleo - 9/10, I love this bold & spunky choice!
Lola - 7/10, a cool name! I like the summery vibe, I just worry about it getting lost in a sea of Lylas, Leilas, etc.
Macie - 7/10, very cute, if slightly dated. I do like it but I definitely prefer Maisie
Maeve - 8/10, a pretty & stylish choice
Ophelia - 7/10, it’s very elegant but I don’t love the nicknames
Rossi - 4/10, this one isn’t my cup of tea - it strikes me as a nickname for the male ross (like a ross who gets called rossy) and just feels pretty dated

I only truly like [name_f]Camellia[/name_f] and [name_f]Athena[/name_f].
Mixed feelings about [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] while [name_f]Lola[/name_f] is cute but I’d consider it a nickname more than a name.
[name_f]Apolline[/name_f] is not my cup of tea, don’t like [name_f]Maeve[/name_f] and [name_f]Macie[/name_f], again, seems more a nickname than a name, but I don’t like it. [name_m]Rossi[/name_m]: I’m a bit confused about it, I’ve never heard of a girl name [name_m]Rossi[/name_m] and in my country it’s a surname. [name_f]Ophelia[/name_f]: too tragic to consider it for a girl.

[name_f]Maeve[/name_f] 10/10 just a beautiful, classic name! Popularity is a downside but I can’t let that impact my rating too much for this one.
[name_f]Athena[/name_f] 9/10 love it, and the mythological associations! [name_u]Strong[/name_u], beautiful
[name_f]Camellia[/name_f] 7/10 fun and feminine, but yes, perhaps a bit fussy
[name_u]Cleo[/name_u] 7/10 fun and spunky, but a bit trendy-feeling to me? Though I feel like I might be underrating it.
[name_f]Apolline[/name_f] 7/10 fun, but I prefer [name_m]Apollo[/name_m]
[name_f]Ophelia[/name_f] 5/10 a great name, but the tragic [name_m]Shakespeare[/name_m] association does deter me from this one
[name_m]Rossi[/name_m] 5/10
[name_f]Ayla[/name_f] - 3/10 looks confusing to me, but maybe because I know an [name_f]Alya[/name_f]
[name_f]Lola[/name_f] - 2/10 don’t love the meaning or the sound
[name_f]Macie[/name_f] - 2/10 reminds me of pepper spray/Mace. Would far prefer [name_f]Maisie[/name_f]

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there.

Here are my favorite to least favorite rankings:

Maeve-Ooh, I love love [name_f]Maeve[/name_f]. It’s light and elegant and has a great balance of smart and sleek plus a little girl skipping through a meadow.

Camellia-I like this a lot too. It’s fancy and has beautiful floral imagery. I like the nns [name_f]Callie[/name_f], [name_f]Millie[/name_f] & [name_f]Mila[/name_f]. I don’t like the nn [name_f]Cami[/name_f], which is the downside.

Cleo-Super cute and kind of quirky. I like it better as a nn for [name_f]Clementine[/name_f], but it’s okay on its own.

Lola-This is another name that I find not substantial enough for a full name, but think it’s adorable as a nn. I love [name_f]Louisa[/name_f] nn [name_f]Lola[/name_f] the most, but [name_f]Eloisa[/name_f] or [name_f]Lorelei[/name_f] are also pretty.

Apolline-I think that it reminds me too much of the word apple (which actually could be a cute nn…), but I appreciate that it feels vintage and unique. I like the nn [name_f]Polly[/name_f]!

Ayla-I love this if I had just heard you say it but not read it. Because I really want it to be [name_f]Isla[/name_f]. [name_f]Ayla[/name_f] looks off to me. It’s super popular too, but still sounds beautiful.

Athena-It’s not my cup of tea, but not sure why. I think it sounds too serious maybe?

Ophelia-This isn’t unpleasant, but it’s just so dramatic and dark sounding to me.

Macie-Really weird that I adore [name_f]Maisy[/name_f], but [name_f]Macie[/name_f] sounds trendy to me . Ridiculous, maybe. I’d at least do it as a nn for something classier like [name_f]Maureen[/name_f] or [name_f]Margaret[/name_f].

Rossi-I actually don’t mind the way it looks or sounds, but it’s just too cutesy I guess.

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
