From 1-10. Comments much appreciated! Be brutally honest, haha, these are names of people I’ve met over the past few weeks that I’ve been thinking about.
[name_f]Jenni[/name_f] (not short for anything)
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]
[name_f]Jada[/name_f]
Jenni - 3/10 - It sounds like a nickname to me and I dislike the spelling. It seems a little too immature to be usable as a full name, imo.
Vanessa - 5/10 - I’m pretty neutral on [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]. I see the appeal but don’t love the sound. There are some nice nickname options though.
Jada - 8/10 - I love [name_f]Jada[/name_f]! It seems strong and Spunky. It’s a little mature perhaps, but overall I love the name and image it suggests.
Jenni - 2/10 I like the name spelt as [name_f]Jenny[/name_f], [name_f]Jenni[/name_f] makes it seem incomplete and would work better as a nickname
Vanessa 5/10 - I love the name [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] and while others might think it’s becoming dated I love the nn [name_f]Nessa[/name_f], and don’t see anything inherently bad with it!
Jada - 5/10 Rated the same personally hate the popularity it got along with the more masculine counter part of [name_u]Jaiden[/name_u]/Jayden, very popular among my age group so I have distaste just from knowing so many girls named this personal preference aside it’s a cute universal name so I rated it higher than what I would on any given day
[name_f]Jenni[/name_f]- 3/10 looks incomplete and maybe won’t age the best. [name_m]Even[/name_m] friends who I had that were still going by [name_f]Jenny[/name_f]/ [name_f]Jenni[/name_f] at age 18-19 aren’t now. I can only think of one 30-something that I know personally who still goes my [name_f]Jenny[/name_f]. The rest have either gone to their full name, [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f], or shortened further to [name_f]Jen[/name_f]/ [name_f]Jenn[/name_f].
[name_f]Jenna[/name_f] or [name_f]Janna[/name_f] feels like they would age better than [name_f]Jenni[/name_f].
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]- 8/10 I feel like this is a really underrated name. Some people say they find it dated, but I kinda feel a name has to actually be trendy at some point to become dated and [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] has never had a huge boom moment like that really. Pretty, sweet, familiar, but not overly common.
[name_f]Jada[/name_f] 6/10 there’s nothing wrong with [name_f]Jada[/name_f], I just don’t particuarly like how it sounds. I feel the same about [name_f]Jade[/name_f]. I do though prefer [name_f]Jada[/name_f] to [name_f]Jenni[/name_f].
Jenni - 4/10 I’d definitely prefer [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] and use [name_f]Jenni[/name_f] as a nickname. I just don’t think it stand well on its own. I do however like the name [name_f]Jeannie[/name_f] like the host from The Real [name_f]Jeannie[/name_f] [name_f]Mai[/name_f].
Vanessa - 8/10 I think this is a very pretty but also strong willed name. I have a best friend over 7 years named [name_f]Vanessa[/name_f]. She’s very independent, smart & caring. She definitely influences my opinion. The only reason I gave an 8 is because even though I do like the name I wouldn’t personally use it for my children.
Jada - 5/10 I love the name [name_f]Jade[/name_f] which is why I gave it a 6 but personally I don’t care of [name_f]Jada[/name_f]. I think the “a” ending makes the name a little more tacky🤷🏼♀️ [name_f]Jade[/name_f] is just such a better name short & sweet but sounds complete.
Jenni – I like the name in general, but prefer the [name_f]Jenny[/name_f] spelling. Overall, it’s cute and stands just fine on its own! 5/10
[name_f]Vanessa[/name_f] – Meh. Pretty dated at this point, tbh, and I don’t care for the sound. 2/10
[name_f]Jada[/name_f] – Not a fan, personally, but it’s fine. I prefer just [name_f]Jade[/name_f], though. 3/10
Jenni- 2/10 would prefer [name_f]Jenny[/name_f] as a full name. [name_f]My[/name_f] phone autocorrected to [name_f]Jennifer[/name_f] and it just feels unfinished in a way [name_f]Jenny[/name_f] doesn’t.
Vanessa - 5/10 neutral on it, nice sound but sounds a bit dated to me.
Jada - 7/10 nice alternative to [name_f]Jade[/name_f], sounds nice and fresh.
