Hi berries,
I’d love to know your opinion on these boy names. I would love told you could comment on each name individually but if you don’t have the time you can sort them into categories (e.g. yes, maybe, no) or rank them. Please be completely honest- I don’t mind if you hate them all. Here they are
Emmett
Oliver
Alexander
Alistair
Caspian
Isaac
Elijah (nn Eli)
Elliott (nn Eli/ Ellie (can you use Ellie for a boy?))
Archie
Arlo
Clement (nn Clem/ Clemmie)
James (nn Jem)
TIA. Looking forward to reading your responses!!!

elliott - 9/10 - i love the sound and look, plus the name ellie is adorable! ellie totally works for a boy
emmett - 2/10 - not my style, sorry! but the potential nn em is cute
oliver - 8/10 - i adore this name but it’s so so popular. it’s such a lovely name though!
alexander - 7/10 - a timeless classic! very common which puts me off but great nonetheless
alistair - 9/10 - such a cool name, nothing bad to say about it (although ali may be a natural nn, and im not a huge fan of ali)
caspian - 9/10 - very popular on here but i’ve never encountered it irl or anywhere else on the internet, which is great! it has a really appealing sound and look
isaac - 2/10 - a bit boring imo, sorry
elijah - 3/10 - same issue as isaac
archie - 4/10 - much prefer as a nn for archer - i don’t like -ie names as full names
arlo - 4/10 - i can’t totally picture it on an adult, which makes me not like it very much
clement - 2/10 - something about the sound really puts me off? and clem/clemmie sound a bit weird
james - 3/10 - i love the nn jem but not james itself

[name_m]Hi[/name_m] there. Great list!

Here are my thoughts-

Elliott-I like it. It’s smart & friendly & a little geeky in a charming way. It’s well known & easy but not terribly popular.

Emmett-This is good too. It’s similar to [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], but w/a little cowboy vibe. I don’t like it as much, because it sounds more abrupt & less lyrical.

Oliver-Handsome & lovable. [name_m]Just[/name_m] way over done, sadly.

Alexander-Another good solid classic. Not terribly exciting, but still a good name. I like the nn [name_m]Dex[/name_m] to spice it up a bit.

Alistair-I feel like this is a more interesting version of [name_m]Alexander[/name_m]. I like it a lot.

Caspian-That’s handsome & a bit mystical. Simple but still fairly unique.

Isaac-Good solid Biblical name. It doesn’t excite me, but there’s nothing wrong w/it.

[name_u]Elijah[/name_u] (nn Eli)-Same as above. Really popular, but a lovely name none the less.

[name_u]Elliott[/name_u] (nn Eli/ [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] (can you use [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] for a boy?))-I don’t know. [name_f]Ellie[/name_f] is so popular for girls. That’s really one downside of [name_u]Elliott[/name_u], is that it’s sort of nick-name-less. [name_u]Elliott[/name_u] nn [name_u]Eli[/name_u] doesn’t really make sense to me.

Archie-Cute, but better as a nn for [name_u]Archer[/name_u]. Might feel a bit trendy like you’re using it because the royals did.

Arlo-I like it. Sort of hipster-y, but cute. I love the nn [name_u]Ari[/name_u].

[name_f]Hope[/name_f] this helps.
[name_m]Clement[/name_m] (nn Clem/ Clemmie)
[name_u]James[/name_u] (nn Jem)

[name_u]Elliot[/name_u] - 6/10 - Not a bad name but feels very popular. Too common for my taste. Good nickname options though.

[name_u]Emmett[/name_u] - 7/10 - Feels slightly popular but not as popular as [name_u]Elliot[/name_u]. Again some fun nicknames.

[name_u]Oliver[/name_u] - 3/10 - Not a bad name but WAY too popular for my liking.

[name_m]Alexander[/name_m] - 3/10 - [name_m]Just[/name_m] feels boring and overdone to me. I grew up with a lot of Alex’s and it feels like it’s still popular for little kids.

[name_m]Alistair[/name_m] - 5/10 - Fun name! I find it a little confusing to spell and might be hard for a little kid.

[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] - 9/10 - I think this is a super fun name! Feels very adventurous and daring.

[name_m]Isaac[/name_m] - 5/10 - Not a bad name, I just don’t love it.

[name_u]Elijah[/name_u] - 6/10 - Kind of popular, but still a good name. I like the [name_u]Eli[/name_u] nickname.

[name_m]Archie[/name_m] - 5/10 - I would prefer [name_m]Archie[/name_m] as a nickname and there being a full name instead of just [name_m]Archie[/name_m]. I like it as a nickname though.

[name_u]Arlo[/name_u] - 8/10 - fun name! I like how it sounds and how it looks.

[name_m]Clement[/name_m] - 6/10 I like the nickname [name_u]Clem[/name_u]! That’s fun. I don’t love [name_m]Clement[/name_m] as a full name though.

[name_u]James[/name_u] - 4/10 - It’s alright. Again very common and overused.

[name_m]Caspian[/name_m] is definitely the standout for me, and [name_m]Clement[/name_m] is my least favourite. All of the others are nice, and I feel fairly neutral about.
