  • [name_u]Blair[/name_u]— [name_u]Love[/name_u] this one! It feels elegant and modern at the same time, and would wear well on many different types of girls.
  • [name_u]Blake[/name_u]— This one’s been growing on me lately, I like it a lot as it feels fresher to me as a “girl” name than used on a boy.
  • [name_u]Briar[/name_u]— Same with [name_u]Blair[/name_u], but I actually love this one even more because of the nature vibes.
  • [name_u]Collins[/name_u]— Possibly one of my favorite “surname-names” for a girl; there’s just something about it that I can’t place my finger on. [name_u]Love[/name_u] it!
  • [name_u]Ellis[/name_u]— This one is for some reason all “boy” to me so I have a hard time seeing it on a girl, sorry! I like [name_u]Ellison[/name_u] quite a bit though.
  • [name_u]Emerson[/name_u]— I’m not a huge fan of [name_f]Em[/name_f]- names generally so this one isn’t my taste, but I completely understand the appeal and it’s very usable.
  • [name_u]Fallon[/name_u]— [name_u]Love[/name_u] this one, it always reminds me of nature, especially butterflies, and has a pretty sound.
  • [name_u]Greer[/name_u]— [name_u]Love[/name_u] this too, simple and elegant.
  • [name_u]Hadley[/name_u]— Not personally my style.
  • [name_u]Harper[/name_u]— Like this one a lot for any gender! It used to be one of my favorites (nothing wrong, my tastes just changed) and I love the literary feel this one has.
  • [name_u]Hollis[/name_u]— I really like it lately, especially as an fresh alternative to [name_u]Holly[/name_u] which doesn’t feel quite ready for a comeback to me.
  • [name_u]Landon[/name_u]— Same as [name_u]Ellis[/name_u], I have a hard time seeing this one on a girl, but I think the sound is nice.
  • [name_u]Leighton[/name_u]— Prefer this one in the middle, but I think it has a lovely sound and that names containing “Leigh” often unfairly get a bad rap. Would love to see this used, I’ve never actually met a [name_u]Leighton[/name_u]!
  • [name_u]Merritt[/name_u]— Like this one a lot, refreshing and creative with pleasant vibes.
  • [name_u]Palmer[/name_u]— Not personally my style, though I understand the appeal.
  • [name_u]Riley[/name_u]— Perfectly fine, but prefer on a boy.
  • [name_u]Saylor[/name_u]— Not my style; I prefer [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u]. I have known a Saila though and thought that was a pretty version!
  • [name_u]Sutton[/name_u]— Like this one a lot, always immediately makes me think of [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] [name_m]Foster[/name_m] which is a nice connection but I don’t think it’s a “one person name” by any means.

[name_f]My[/name_f] favorites: [name_u]Blair[/name_u], [name_u]Briar[/name_u], [name_u]Collins[/name_u], [name_u]Fallon[/name_u], [name_u]Greer[/name_u]

Blair: 8/10 Nice! Uncommon but familiar, and feminine with a touch of spunk.
Blake: 4/10 Better on a boy. Doesn’t feel very fresh on any gender, though.
Briar: 7/10 Cute!
Collins: 2/10 This is a surname only, to me. Not feminine, no sweet connotations. Not my style!
Ellis: 9/10 Sweet! I know a girl Ellis and it’s the perfect name for her. I thought her name was Alice for years, which can be a confusing bit with this name, but I think Ellis is lovely.
Emerson: 4/10 Not my style. And, too common and hip and current.
Fallon: 6/10 I think of Jimmy. I know a girl named Fallon and it suits her fine, but it’s a lot of name.
Greer: 10/10 Adore. This name just strikes a chord with me! Peppy and different, yet intriguing and warm.
Hadley: 5/10 Meh. This one sounds too modern and uninspired to me.
Harper: 8/10 Very sweet. A bit trendy, but still very cute. I don’t picture it aging awesomely, but not too terribly either.
Hollis: 7/10 Nice! A bit harsh sounding, but old-fashioned and warm.
Landon: 6/10 Another nice one. I know a girl with this name and she wears it well! It’s just not my fave.
Leighton: 7/10 Cute! This seems like a peppy little name.
Merritt: 7/10 I love this name, but I much prefer the edited Merit spelling!
Palmer: 3/10 Reminds me of palm trees and Arnold Palmer. Sounds more like a surname!
Riley: 4/10 Eh. It’s cute enough, but bland.
Saylor: 4/10 Not a huge fan. Seems a bit boyish and just sounds a little awkward/made-up to me.
Sutton: 8/10 So cute! I’d love to meet a little Sutton. Feels interesting and bright.

In order of preference, with some impressions….
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] – gorgeous! Like [name_u]Briar[/name_u] [name_f]Rose[/name_f] from Sleeping [name_f]Beauty[/name_f]
[name_u]Hollis[/name_u] – nice alternative to [name_u]Holly[/name_u], which I also like
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] – great literary connection, as it was the pen name of [name_f]Emily[/name_f] [name_f]Brontë[/name_f]
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] – [name_f]Emer[/name_f] (from Irish mythology) is a lovely nickname
[name_u]Saylor[/name_u] – sounds cute, spunky, & nautical
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] – also literary: reminds me of the author [name_u]Harper[/name_u] [name_u]Lee[/name_u]
[name_u]Greer[/name_u] – makes me think of classic 1940s actress [name_u]Greer[/name_u] [name_m]Garson[/name_m]
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] – no particular association here
[name_u]Palmer[/name_u] – palm trees – a pleasant connotation
[name_u]Leighton[/name_u] – nice (& could be nicknamed Leigh), but unsure of pronunciation
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] – sounds a tad more masculine, but cute – “life of Riley” connection
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] – reminiscent of [name_u]Sutton[/name_u] Hoo, the archaeological site
[name_u]Collins[/name_u] – a tiny bit like Mr [name_u]Collins[/name_u] from Pride & Prejudice, but probably that’s just me!
[name_u]Blake[/name_u] – no particular sound-association here, but quite surname-y
[name_u]Blair[/name_u] – not my fave, due to [name_u]Blair[/name_u] Witch Project, & the word “blare”
[name_u]Landon[/name_u] – this sounds very male to me (maybe due to [name_u]Michael[/name_u] Landon?)
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u] – sounds like a word (“merit”) – could be a virtue name, in a way?
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] – can’t get into this name, due to the sound (“slow”, etc)
[name_u]Fallon[/name_u] – just makes me think of Jimmy….

I love [name_u]Blake[/name_u], [name_u]Hadley[/name_u] and [name_u]Sutton[/name_u]! They are all on my own list. [name_u]Briar[/name_u] is also another favourite but I would never use it. I love [name_u]Collins[/name_u] nn Kolly too! [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is another that I like, however it feels really trendy (likely because it is so popular).

I love [name_u]Landon[/name_u] for a boy only, [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] feels a bit overdone, and [name_u]Fallon[/name_u], [name_u]Leighton[/name_u], [name_u]Merritt[/name_u], [name_u]Palmer[/name_u], [name_u]Saylor[/name_u] and [name_u]Sloane[/name_u] just aren’t for me.

[name_u]Greer[/name_u] is an interesting one for me. I get similar vibes to [name_f]Grace[/name_f] and [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] and [name_f]Georgia[/name_f] but a lot less popular. That similarity makes it feel quite feminine which makes it sound less harsh. It’s actually quite pretty!

[name_u]Blair[/name_u] - 4/10, looks incomplete to me and reminds me of [name_u]Blaire[/name_u] White sadly lol
[name_u]Blake[/name_u] - 2/10, not a girl name to me, also every [name_u]Blake[/name_u] I’ve met has been SO snotty!
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] - 5/10, probably too connected to the princess for me to use
[name_u]Collins[/name_u] - 0/10, definitely just a last name
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] - 6/10, nothing really positive or negative to say about it
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] - 5/10, I like it, feels overused
[name_u]Fallon[/name_u] - 2/10, [name_m]Jimmy[/name_m] [name_u]Fallon[/name_u]
[name_u]Greer[/name_u] - 1/10, too hard in my mouth
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] - 4/10, feels very trendy and overused
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] - 6/10, nothing to say about this one either lol
[name_u]Hollis[/name_u] - 7/10, reminds me of [name_u]Christmas[/name_u] for some reason
[name_u]Landon[/name_u] - 0/10, also a boy name
[name_u]Leighton[/name_u] - 0/10, feels made up
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u] - 0/10, doesn’t sound like a name to me
[name_u]Palmer[/name_u] - 2/10, nms
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] - 6/10, nice but overused
[name_u]Saylor[/name_u] - 1/10, just don’t like it
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] - 1/10, same as [name_u]Saylor[/name_u]
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] - 0/10, sounds like mutton

Let me start this off by saying I’m not super fond of boy names for girls, so this might be a bit biased, but there are a few I like!

[name_u]Blair[/name_u] - 5/10. [name_f]Pretty[/name_f] and simple but just not my kind of name. I do think it makes a great middle, and it’s very sleek - makes me think of someone refined and elegant.
[name_u]Blake[/name_u] - 7/10. I love [name_u]Blake[/name_u] as a middle for girls, it’s super sweet! I don’t really love [name_u]Blake[/name_u] as a first name, though, as it almost feels incomplete - [name_u]Blakely[/name_u] is a good fix and a charming new name.
[name_u]Briar[/name_u] - 8/10. Absolutely precious with lovely nature vibes. Another great middle!
[name_u]Collins[/name_u] - 5/10. Not my favourite - I don’t love how it just feels like an extension of [name_m]Collin[/name_m]. I do like the possibility of the nn [name_f]Lina[/name_f], or maybe [name_f]Collie[/name_f]?
[name_u]Ellis[/name_u] - 5/10. I like the potential for the nn [name_f]Ellie[/name_f], but I love it for a boy so much it’s hard to see on a girl. It also sounds a lot like [name_f]Alice[/name_f], which I find to be a better fit for a girls’ name!
[name_u]Emerson[/name_u] - 6/10. I adore [name_u]Emerson[/name_u] for boys, but once again, it’s not my favourite on girls. I can see why the nns [name_f]Emmy[/name_f] might be desirable, though! As an alternative, I’d suggest Eimhear, [name_f]Eimear[/name_f], or [name_f]Emer[/name_f], an Irish name with tons of charm that comes from Irish folklore and is used only for girls. It still sounds strong and gorgeous to me.
[name_u]Fallon[/name_u] - 8/10. I absolutely love this one.
[name_u]Greer[/name_u] - 7/10! I love [name_u]Greer[/name_u], especially as a middle.
[name_u]Hadley[/name_u] - 7/10. This isn’t really my kind of name but I do think it’s very cute and works well for a baby and an adult.
[name_u]Harper[/name_u] - 10/10. [name_u]Harper[/name_u] is one of my all-time favourite girl names. I know it’s pretty popular but I think it has a lot of charm.
[name_u]Hollis[/name_u] - 4/10. I’m not sure why but I just don’t love this name! I’m not overly fond of [name_u]Holly[/name_u] or [name_u]Holland[/name_u] either, so maybe it’s the “Holl” sound.
[name_u]Landon[/name_u] - 4/10. I love [name_u]Landon[/name_u] and its lovely sound, but I’m not fond of it on a girl.
[name_u]Leighton[/name_u] - 7/10. I think [name_u]Leighton[/name_u] is gorgeous and super fun. It’s both professional and unique.
[name_u]Merritt[/name_u] - 3/10. I don’t really love [name_u]Merritt[/name_u] for either gender.
[name_u]Palmer[/name_u] - 6/10. [name_u]Palmer[/name_u] is super cute! I started loving it for boys a while ago and then it became popular for girls. A little disappointing, but I still like the name and wouldn’t mind using it as a middle for a boy.
[name_u]Riley[/name_u] - 5/10. It’s cute, but it’s another one of my boy name favourites.
[name_u]Saylor[/name_u] - 8/10. I am so in love with sweet [name_u]Saylor[/name_u]! Adorable and unique. I’d prefer it in the middle spot but it’s cute either way!
[name_u]Sloane[/name_u] - 8/10. This name has grown on me lately!
[name_u]Sutton[/name_u] - 8/10. Another beautiful choice.

[name_u]Finley[/name_u] and [name_u]Sawyer[/name_u] are another few favourite unisex choices for girls!
