I’m not a fan of the sound of [name_f]Ravenna[/name_f], but I like how distinctive it is and I love what it makes me picture. As for nicknames… maybe Venna?
[name_f]Ravenna[/name_f] is pretty and is quite similar to other place names like [name_f]Siena[/name_f] and [name_f]Vienna[/name_f]. I rated it a three because I’m not a big fan of place names unless it has some personal significance for the parents.
I never saw the appeal, honestly, and I like it even less after seeing [name_f]Snow[/name_f] White and the Huntsman. [name_f]Ravenna[/name_f] was awful, and she made my impression of the name even worse. I can see an ethereal beauty sort of quality about it, but I’m just not a huge fan, sorry. I could see [name_u]Wren[/name_u]/[name_u]Ren[/name_u], Renna, [name_u]Raven[/name_u], or even [name_u]Vinnie[/name_u] as a nn… [name_m]Even[/name_m] Aven/[name_f]Ava[/name_f]?
I voted 2. All it is to me is a small farming village 20 minutes from where I live.
Here, it’s pronounced rah-vann-uh, not rah-venn-uh like in the movie [name_f]Snow[/name_f] White and the Huntsman.
Funny, I’ve seen [name_f]Snow[/name_f] White and the Huntsman but don’t remember [name_f]Ravenna[/name_f] at all. I only discovered it here on NB.
[name_f]Ravenna[/name_f] was the wicked step mother AKA The Evil [name_f]Queen[/name_f].
I have a tendency to forget everything about a movie or book within days of finishing it… :???:
