Hello berries,
What do you think of [name_u]Ray[/name_u]? It’s a new favorite of mine, and I’m so in love with it. I think it’s really handsome and bubbly.
What are you thoughts and associations? I really like [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] too, even though it’s a bit old-fashioned.
I have a [name_m]BIL[/name_m] named [name_m]Ray[/name_m] ([name_m]Raymond[/name_m]), and he is a great guy so I have very positive associations with the name. I like that is known, traditional name that is not over used.
I’ve been really liking [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] nn [name_u]Ray[/name_u] lately! It does seem very bright and friendly despite having that vintage style. Definitely a great name.
I rather like [name_u]Ray[/name_u], though [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] I only associate with Everybody Loves [name_m]Raymond[/name_m]. But [name_u]Ray[/name_u] feels timeless and warm.
I also think of everybody loves [name_m]Raymond[/name_m], and that main character annoys the heck out of me, so I personally don’t like [name_u]Ray[/name_u]. I can see the appeal, though, it’s not super popular, and it does sound nice.
I like it, [name_m]Raymond[/name_m] is not my taste but [name_u]Ray[/name_u] is refreshing. It’s got the dad kinda vibe I’m so charmed by!
I like [name_u]Roy[/name_u] too!
I could see it having a comeback in a decade or so along with [name_m]Harvey[/name_m]. Also I’ve only ever known girls named/nicknamed [name_u]Ray[/name_u]/[name_m]Rei[/name_m] and I think that will increase due to the new [name_f]Star[/name_f] Wars heroine!
[name_m]Raymond[/name_m] nn [name_u]Ray[/name_u] is great!
I love [name_u]Ray[/name_u]! It’s a very cool name.
I love [name_u]Ray[/name_u] on its own and as a nickname for [name_m]Raymond[/name_m]. It would be really fresh on a new baby. I saw a pp mention [name_m]Harvey[/name_m], which was very popular here a couple of years ago, so maybe [name_u]Ray[/name_u] will be making a comeback too!
[name_u]Ray[/name_u] is such a cool name!
For retro-chic I somewhat prefer [name_u]Roy[/name_u], but [name_u]Ray[/name_u] is pleasant and doesn’t sound forced.
I do like [name_u]Rae[/name_u]/[name_m]Rei[/name_m] for a girl, but that doesn’t mean [name_u]Ray[/name_u] (or [name_u]Rey[/name_u]) doesn’t work for a boy.
Thanks everyone! I’m glad to get all these positive responses. I did not know so many people liked [name_u]Ray[/name_u]!
I love [name_u]Ray[/name_u]! I prefer it in its own as opposed to [name_m]Raymond[/name_m].
