Warning: These names are bonkers on purpose.
I have no idea, literally. I’ve decided on the names, but what will the readers think of them? I haven’t thought about publishing it or anything, but maybe having people will push me to write more and better. A big populusque feels strange to me, somehow. Anyway, I need your opinions! The first’s the logical one, the second’s the emotional one, and the last’s the verbal one.
Here are the names. Only the main characters. (There are three.)
[name_m]Luke[/name_m] Santner ([name_m]Lucan[/name_m] [name_u]Jace[/name_u] [name_m]Frederick[/name_m] Santner) - The name was chosen somewhat randomly. But since he was a foreign character, I thought it best to give him an unusual name, too. And one that didn’t match with his character. He’s more of a solitary kind of person, with an intense past. He likes to be alone… his wishes for anonymity hasn’t been granted, though. He’s great at magic and is a brilliant problem-solver. More by logic.
Thaleen [name_m]Winters[/name_m] (Thaleen [name_f]Briar[/name_f]-[name_u]Rue[/name_u] [name_m]Winters[/name_m]) - I’ve changed this name millions of times. Millions, literally. I took the name from a surname, and it’s pronounced however the surname is pronounced. (I’m guessing tha-LEEN, or ta-LEEN.) Why is the middle name hyphenated? It just sounded right, somehow… but I’m not sure about that. Her nickname is [name_u]Lee[/name_u]. Should I spell it another way, like [name_f]Lea[/name_f] or [name_u]Leigh[/name_u]? She’s not really good at anything that much, but she’s good at solving riddles, writing, empathizing, being the middle person and leader, that kind of stuff.
Seph [name_u]Shade[/name_u] ([name_f]Josephine[/name_f] [name_f]Amaryllis[/name_f] [name_u]Shade[/name_u]) - I made the nickname not match with the last name on purpose. It was more like “The parents wouldn’t know, right?” when I made the name. In school, most call her [name_u]Shade[/name_u], since she’s more of a snappy and cross character. At home, people call her [name_m]Joe[/name_m]. She hates the name [name_u]Josie[/name_u]. Her talents lie in her capability to talk at all times, and her witty and not-impressed posture.
Post Scriptum: Should I make Seph a boy? I really don’t know. Originally, she was a jokester boy, [name_m]John[/name_m] [name_m]Thornton[/name_m]. Now he’s more of a [name_f]Hannah[/name_f] [name_u]Abbott[/name_u]. Also tell me if any of the names are horrible — I’ll change it. FAST.
