I started a fantasy novel many years ago and just recently revisited it to possibly finish it. Looking at some of the names I came up with at 14 years old though (I didn’t have nameberry to help, lol) I am wanting to rename some of the bigger characters, including the main character. This is a fantasy that features kings and queens, brutal battles, and magnificent cities, during a “medieval” time period. To give you an idea of the names I like for characters, some of the names I AM keeping are [name]Eero[/name], Lavantos, Vondo, Vox, Vovilo, and [name]Dugan[/name]. Easy to say but not really “normal” lol. These are the ones who need new names:
[name]Perrin[/name]: Main character who is the princess/queen. She is a take-charge person though kind. She is about 20, and fights along with her army. Her original name was Lly ([name]Lee[/name]) and changed to [name]Perrin[/name], but now I am not feeling either.
[name]Laken[/name]: A brave warrior. He has had more name changes than anyone else, including Yoatl (I don’t know where that one came from!) and [name]Benno[/name]. I haven’t liked anything yet.
[name]Isaak[/name]: [name]General[/name] of the army. He started out with a different name too, and I still am not liking it.
[name]Jakub[/name]: Another officer. He was originally [name]Kodee[/name] and again, neither have worked.
[name]Everly[/name]: This is actually [name]Perrin[/name]'s surname, but it’s a trendy fn nowadays! I would prefer something that still had a sense of fate/adventure but is not seen in classrooms around [name]America[/name].
