Although I dont think [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] is too boyish, [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] and [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] sound like brothers. [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] sound great together. I also like [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f].
I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]
I think it’d be best to move [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] to the middle spot, since your husband loves [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] and it would still be part of her name.
I personally do not like [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] as much as [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. I think [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is adorable, and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] is cutest imo
I do personally find [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] to be a tad dated. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] is very pretty, though. I’m conflicted because I don’t like [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] but I don’t like popular name either (long story short, my name is super common and I hate it). I think I’d still go with [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], especially if you love it over [name_u]Taylor[/name_u].
I don’t think that [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] sounds too boyish however with a brother named [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] it makes it sound like brothers. [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] is an adorable sibset! I think [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] or [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is fine. Because her current name is [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] you could name her [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] to keep that connection to her original name. However with [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] she keeps the same middle name.
I basically second what sparkleninja18 said- I prefer [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], even though I tend to be hesitant towards super popular names. I like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] a lot more than [name_u]Taylor[/name_u].
Personally, I wouldn’t rename a child, even if I had doubts. I know she won’t know the difference, but haven’t you started to think of her as [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]? I do prefer [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], and it is a personal choice, whether or not to change a child’s name, but, I’d still stay with her original name.
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is very beautiful name for a daughter.
I love the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f], but am also cautious about popular names, just personal opinion, of course. One tid bit that might not be relevant at all, but [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] Johansson has a twin brother named [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. I don’t think it’s well known or a big issue at all. In fact, it’s proof that the names [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] and [name_u]Hunter[/name_u] go really well together! Both [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] and [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] are really nice
Also, they do both seem like they fit different personality types, so while you’re daughter is still super young, does she feel more like one than the other?
I think [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] is a very nice combo. I also like [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f], but both names are so feminine, i kinda like the way [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] and [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] balance each other out. You could use a nickname from [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] like [name_f]Mira[/name_f]? Or come up with a nickname for [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] and [name_f]Miranda[/name_f] combined, like [name_f]Tandy[/name_f] or [name_f]Tami[/name_f]? I dunno, I think you should keep it. I think it’s very well balanced, not too frilly, and professional sounding.
Thanks so much everyone for your comments. I hadn’t considered [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] would sound boyish next to a brother with a name like [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. And Bluelavendar, thanks for the trivia. I did not know [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] Johansson had a brother called [name_u]Hunter[/name_u]. Perhaps I am on the right track with [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] then. Thanks again to all! Such a hard time trying to get it right.
I love the name [name_f]Scarlett[/name_f]. And I have never really liked the name [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]. But, I however feel as if you should stick to the name [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]. All the [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]'s I have ever met or have ever herd of have been girls. [name_u]Taylor[/name_u] and hunter, to me sound like brother and sister, but I see the worry about it sounding like brothers. I see the appeal of [name_u]Taylor[/name_u], and you must have as well at one point. It’s a common name but you won’t hear it everywhere, and it is a sweet name. However, if you are at a loss, keep it as a middle name just to make the ease of transitioning to a new first name easier for your son. (Who I assume is used to calling her [name_u]Taylor[/name_u]).
[name_f]Scarlett[/name_f] [name_f]Miranda[/name_f]!
