Real name for Kit

I love the nn [name]Kit[/name] for a girl but I don’t know what “real” name it could be
I don’t like Russian sounding names like “Kiterina” or anything with [name]Cat[/name] in it…or [name]Kat[/name]…

thoughts?

[name]Keith[/name]
[name]Cait[/name]/[name]Kait[/name]
[name]Korenit[/name]

That’s all I can think of. I’d prefer the classic [name]Katherine[/name] though.

wow. I had never heard of [name]Keith[/name] for a girl nor [name]Korenit[/name]…wow. how do you pronounce that?

[name]Catherine[/name]
[name]Catriona[/name]
[name]Kathleen[/name]?

It’s a nickname for [name]Catherine[/name], so any variant would work- [name]Katrina[/name], [name]Caterina[/name], [name]Catalina[/name], [name]Katia[/name], etc.

So you don’t like “[name]Kat[/name]” names…well it could work for any K name really or a C name so here are some of those:

[name]Kara[/name]

[name]Kendra[/name]

[name]Carolina[/name]

[name]Coraline[/name]

[name]Kimberly[/name]

[name]Kaylee[/name]/[name]Kayla[/name]/[name]Kaylin[/name]

[name]Campbell[/name]

[name]Camellia[/name]

I love [name]Kit[/name] as a nn for [name]Catherine[/name] and its various spellings (I prefer [name]Katherine[/name]).

Well, when boys are nicknamed [name]Kit[/name], it’s short for [name]Christopher[/name]. So why not [name]Christine[/name]/[name]Christina[/name]/[name]Cristina[/name]/[name]Kristina[/name]/[name]Kristine[/name]/[name]Christa[/name]/[name]Krista[/name]…OR even [name]Kristen[/name]…as your “[name]Kit[/name]” name?

PS. I also [name]LOVE[/name] the nn [name]Kit[/name]…so cute and spunky!

Or even Christophine?

[name]Catherine[/name]? Or maybe a name with initials K and T, like [name]Katherine[/name] [name]Thalia[/name]?

I always thought the Biblical [name]Keturah[/name] was one underused way to get to it…

I think there was a recent thread asking for full names for nickname [name]Kitty[/name], so lots of ideas there, if you can find it.

[name]Caroline[/name]
[name]Clementine[/name]
[name]Cosette[/name]

thanks everyone…really really good ideas…I love [name]Coraline[/name]…is it passe to spell it with a K?

Quitterie
[name]Christina[/name]/[name]Christiana[/name]/[name]Christianna[/name]
[name]Clematis[/name]
[name]Clothilde[/name]?
[name]Constance[/name]?
Corinthia/Corintha
[name]Cosette[/name]
Costmary
Coventina
[name]Crisanta[/name]
[name]Crescentia[/name]

Would probably choose Quitterie myself, or Corintha.

Have never even HEARD of Quitterie…that’s amazing. I NEVER see Q names…how is it pronounced?

Koraline hrm… I’m not sure. I think it depends on the middle name you used on whether it would pass or not.
For my own suggestions, I wouldn’t have anything anyone hasn’t already suggested. I would put her name as simply [name]Kit[/name] if it were what I was going for, but I understand wanting a more formal full name.

It’s French, a saint, means ‘quiet/calm’, a real sweetheart in my book ^^
