Really struggling

Hello… hoping on getting a little input about a couple of names my husband and I are going back and forth about. We’ve decided not to talk about it with family so this is where I turn!

2 year olds name is [name_m]Landon[/name_m].

[name_u]Paxton[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]
[name_u]Luca[/name_u] [name_u]Michael[/name_u]

Those are our two choices so far!

Thanks in advance

I love [name_m]Landon[/name_m] and [name_u]Paxton[/name_u], I also think they make a great sibling set.

[name_u]Paxton[/name_u] feels a little synthetic to me (a la [name_m]Jaxon[/name_m]) but I like [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. Would the two Ls bother you?

I really like [name_u]Luca[/name_u]. It might just be me, but [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] reminds me of the drug Paxil. I haven’t seen a commercial for it in years though so it’s probably not a big deal. It’s not my style but it does sound nice with [name_m]Landon[/name_m] and I think it sounds better paired with [name_u]Michael[/name_u] than [name_u]Luca[/name_u] does.

Similar to the above poster’s thoughts, I think [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] sounds better with [name_m]Landon[/name_m] but it might be my aversion to using the same initial for multiple kids. [name_u]Luca[/name_u] is by far a name I prefer but with what you’re going for, I think the nickname [name_u]Pax[/name_u] would be quite fitting. I also agree that it sounds better with [name_u]Michael[/name_u] as a middle than [name_u]Luca[/name_u], but don’t think it should carry that much weight because [name_u]Luca[/name_u] doesn’t sound bad either.
My only advice would be to consider the difference in popularity - typically it matters more with sisters than brothers, but having one name that’s more common and another that’s more “out there” ([name_u]Paxton[/name_u] is by no means strange, though!) it can create issue between the siblings amongst school kids/friends. [name_m]Just[/name_m] something to think about!

I feel like [name_u]Paxton[/name_u] sounds too similar to [name_m]Landon[/name_m], with the same -on ending and short a sound in the first syllable, so I’d go with [name_u]Luca[/name_u], which is a name I really love.
