Rebecca Joy?

First of all this is just fictional names so these aren’t real people :). Also sorry for the long post, but please bare with me and read it!!

[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] “[name_f]Becky[/name_f]”. What do you think of this combo? What’s your first impressions? What kind of girl do you picture wearing this name (personality and appearance wise)?

I am still considering some other names however I’m really liking [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]. She comes from a [name_m]Christian[/name_m] family so I want her to have a religious connection in her name. I also really like [name_f]Hannah[/name_f]. What are some suggestions that are the same kind of style as [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f]? Combos are appreciated as well thank you ;).

She has two younger sisters and two younger brothers. What are some names that you can picture on a sibling of [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]? They don’t necessary have to be biblical like [name_f]Abigail[/name_f] (which is out btw) but I still want them to have a strong meaning or some religious connection. I know some of the following don’t fit into my description I just gave however I am struggling to find anything so am clinging to anything!

[name_f]Louise[/name_f] _____ “[name_u]Lou[/name_u]”
[name_f]Madeline[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f] “[name_f]Maddie[/name_f]”
[name_f]Emma[/name_f] [name_f]Louise[/name_f] “[name_f]Emmy[/name_f]”
[name_f]Sara[/name_f] _____
[name_f]Ada[/name_f] _____
[name_u]Genesis[/name_u] _____ “[name_f]Gen[/name_f]”
[name_f]Eve[/name_f] _______ “[name_f]Evie[/name_f]”
[name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f] “[name_f]Beth[/name_f]” (not loving [name_f]Mae[/name_f] though)

[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] “[name_u]Sam[/name_u]”
[name_m]Jack[/name_m] _____
[name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] “DJ”
[name_m]Oliver[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u]
[name_m]Christian[/name_m] _____ “[name_u]Chris[/name_u]”

PLEASE HELP!! I really want these kids names to have meaning to them and I am stuck. Any help, advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated :).

…anything guys???

I think it’s so beautiful!

When I hear [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] I think of a freckled girl with curly dark hair who is very sweet and outgoing. Personally I like [name_f]Becca[/name_f] better than [name_f]Becky[/name_f].

I like the ideas of [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] with [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]; they definitely feel like sisters to me. I’d also like to suggest:

  • [name_f]Rachel[/name_f] (biblical name meaning “ewe”)
  • [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] (pure)
  • [name_f]Mia[/name_f] (Scandinavian short for [name_f]Maria[/name_f])
  • [name_f]Emily[/name_f] (not necessarily “religious” and not the best meaning “rival” but it has lots of strong literary connections)
    If you don’t like [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Mae[/name_f], what about [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Hope[/name_f], [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Jane[/name_f], or [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] [name_f]Claire[/name_f]?

[name_m]Samuel[/name_m] and [name_m]David[/name_m] are good brothers for [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f]; I really like [name_m]Samuel[/name_m] [name_m]Alexander[/name_m] and [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_m]Jonathan[/name_m] “DJ” but I like [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] a little better in terms of flow.

[name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] is a great name! Reminds me of [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] of Sunnybrook Farm. I agree with pp that [name_f]Katherine[/name_f] would make a good sister ([name_f]Katie[/name_f], [name_f]Kate[/name_f], [name_f]Kat[/name_f], [name_u]Kit[/name_u]… so many possibilities!)

Other Ideas:

[name_f]Elizabeth[/name_f]
[name_f]Evangeline[/name_f] (means bringer of good news)
[name_f]Lydia[/name_f]
[name_f]Miriam[/name_f]
[name_f]Emma[/name_f]
[name_f]Claire[/name_f] (meaning associated with light and clarity)

Thank you guys!! I think I’ll stick with [name_f]Rebecca[/name_f] [name_f]Joy[/name_f] :). I agree that [name_f]Sara[/name_f] and [name_f]Bethany[/name_f] go great together and @fromtheocean12 I agree [name_m]David[/name_m] [name_u]James[/name_u] works better. @quirkflower I love your suggestions!! In particular [name_f]Miriam[/name_f], [name_f]Claire[/name_f] and [name_f]Emma[/name_f] :).
