Alright, I’m just going to throw this out there and see what becomes of it. I’ve been contemplating adding a new character to my never-ending roster, but sadly, I haven’t got the slightest clue on what to name her(?). I’ve got a good idea of what she looks like and a vague idea of her personality, but that’s about it. I’m primarily hunting for forenames, but surnames are a welcome suggestion as well!
Dunno why, but I’m really manifesting ‘M’ names for this girl. A few ideas I’ve played with are [name_f]Mitzi[/name_f], [name_f]Mara[/name_f], [name_f]Misty[/name_f], and [name_f]Melody[/name_f], yet none of them feel quite right to me. Of course, name beginning with other letters are welcome too.
To help you out, here's a description of her appearance and general personality:
This girl, who we’ll call ‘M’, is a 16-year-old in the 10th grade attending Havenborough High School in [name_f]Marion[/name_f] County, Arkansas. She is notably short, being 5’2, and is very thin and petite. “Doll-like” is an apt description of her. Her shoulder-length, carrot-colored hair is tied in two lil’ pigtails with bubblegum pink pearlized hair ties. She has big green eyes and a few freckles on each cheek. Her clothing style is rather modest; she wears a box-pleated tawny skirt and a mocha-colored blazer. Her wrists are decorated in multicolored bracelets, some made by her friends and others by herself. Two of these bracelets are color-coded with the intersex flag and demigirl flag respectively.
As a person, I imagine that ‘M’ is an ambivert. She’s a very bubbly, friendly person but only has a few close friends and often needs to take a break from being around other people. Regardless, I think she’s the type to attract a lot of (platonic!) attention from both girls and boys due to her social versatility. She’s fairly high up on the popularity scale.
As a side note, ‘M’ is intersex. Specifically, she was born with Complete Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome (CAIS). Essentially, she appears outwardly female but has XY chromosomes and masculine gonads. She keeps her condition a secret, as she knows she’d face disgust from some of her schoolmates if they knew. The only people who know of her condition are her parents and one friend. Privately, she identifies as a heterosexual demigirl. If I were to canonize her, she’d become the third intersex character I’ve created.
In terms of ancestry, I think ‘M’ could have Celtic heritage, if only because of her red hair.
