Redirecting to a virus(?) site?

[name_f]Every[/name_f] now and then when I’m on NB on my phone, after a few (2-4) scrolls or taps on the home page or the forums, I will be redirected to a very dodgy looking site with a female robotic voice saying “Congratulations. Congratulations.” and the only way to get out of it is to close the tab…

It’s not a problem with this specific phone, because it did the same on my previous phone too

I almost don’t want to use NB on my phone anymore because I don’t want to get a virus (haven’t so far, which is good but I don’t want to risk getting one in future)

It’s never happened on my laptop, but just the mobile is an issue (although I use an ad blocker on my laptop, so maybe that’s why it doesn’t get this redirectory/pop-up…who knows)

It’d be great if there’s anything that can be done to fix this

Sorry for the late response, and that you’re having this problem.

As I explained in that last thread, unfortunately there’s no easy way to shut off these spammy ads, though we are trying very hard to get to the bottom of it. Reporting where you were and what you were doing on the site when these ads popped up is very helpful, and about all we have to go on, so thank you for that.
