Reeve for a girl?

I like [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] for a girl.
Reminds me alot of [name_u]Reese[/name_u] and it’s just one letter away so why not?

I like it! Sounds very sleek, but classic

Oh I absolutely love the idea of [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] for a girl!
Adorable…paired with a feminine name like [name_f]Catherine[/name_f]! I think it is great!

not feminine at all, the [name_m]Lindbergh[/name_m] connotation is unheard of. plus it means bailiff - not a great meaning.

plus i dont like it much for a boy either, i think of [name_m]Reeves[/name_m] like a butler and Reaver like the cannibals in the tv show Firefly. but it is masculine so its at least acceptable and more importantly believable on a boy.

i think people really forget to think of whether a name is believable on a gender or even person period.

try [name_f]Eve[/name_f], [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f], [name_u]Reese[/name_u], and id even prefer the ‘out there’ [name_f]Revel[/name_f]/Reveley or Rouge to [name_u]Reeve[/name_u].

also you must think of people mistaking [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] for [name_f]Eve[/name_f] and the hassle of having to correct and explain her name to everyone.

she will abhor hearing and retelling the [name_m]Lindbergh[/name_m] story by the time shes 10.

if you have to, go with [name_f]Catherine[/name_f] [name_u]Reeve[/name_u], it flows much better than the choppy [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] anyway and matches your sibset of [name_m]Nolan[/name_m] and [name_u]Meredith[/name_u]

[name_u]Leland[/name_u] - works great on a boy, obviously masculine
[name_m]Dashiell[/name_m] - getting trendy, skip it
[name_f]Felicity[/name_f] - lovely and not common, but classic for your sibset
[name_f]Juliet[/name_f] - more common, but again lovely, and classic with your sibset
[name_m]Lincoln[/name_m] - the ending -n is too repetitive with [name_m]Nolan[/name_m]
[name_f]Sarah[/name_f] - very common but a forever classic, try a variation like [name_f]Sadie[/name_f]
