reeve...short for??

Loving [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] but don’t love the meaning…it is not negative just not lovely (means baliff). What could [name_u]Reeve[/name_u] be short for. Does [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] work or is that a stretch? Thanks!

I think that [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] would work for [name_u]Reeve[/name_u]. A [name_f]Reverie[/name_f] could also go by Rev.

First that that came to mind was [name_f]Reva[/name_f] (ree-vuh).

[name_f]Reverie[/name_f] could definitely work, though my first instinct was [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] (though there’s no r)…

Also, [name_f]Rivka[/name_f] (reev-kuh).

Oh I love [name_u]Reeve[/name_u]! If only I could convince hubby, I would choose this in a heartbeat. I think [name_f]Genevieve[/name_f] is a good idea for a longer form too, doesn’t seem too much of a stretch to me.
